“Great Customer Care with superb "value for money"”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

This was our second stay at the Rialto and we had a wonderful friendly welcome from NIcky at reception., who is very efficient, helpful and friendly. We had checked trip adviser before booking and from this we asked for a particular room on the fifth floor, that gives you sun most of the day. No problem Nicky said and we got,our room overlooking the pool with good views with nice afternoon and evening sun. We also had a hair dryer included in the bathroom accessories. We took advantage of hiring the room safe for 2 euros a day with a deposit of 10 euros , refundable at the end of your stay. We mentioned to NIcky that it was my birthday the day after we arrived and we were excited to have a bottle of cava waiting for us when we arrived at our room, after our return from a lovely day around Benidorms Old Town. The Restaurant staff are very friendly and efficient too and there is a good selection of quality food available with a good wine selection. During our stay the Hotel, had a 2 for 1 special drinks offer on as we'll as Free Entrance to the Benidorm Palace Show and with a free drink included as well. THere is also a shuttle coach available to and from the PAlace although it is a very nice and easy 20 minute walk. The Hotel is very close to Benidorms top entertainment area with many bars and clubs offering top class comedians and tribute acts that included MIchael Bublue, Bee Gees and Take That. The Hotel is very close to Morgans Tavern where they record the "Benidorm" Series, that they use for the Neptune Bar and also the Sol Pelicanos Hotelz that they use for the pool scenes. Whilst there in April 2014 they were recording scenes at Morgans Tavern.
So a great HOtel in a great location with great food and great customer care.
What more do you want for a Holiday to remember.

Upon check in we were met by 3 people at the reception desk, one of the women spoke English fluently. It later transpired that she was ex British and that she married a Spaniard. The care and attention to every detail of our stay was astonishing, it was as though we had checked into the Ritz as my partner and I frequently travel around Europe staying at many hotels but it has been many decades since we have experienced such high standards. Further more the lady/manger/director has a hands on approach to quality customer service as well. On one occasion we wanted to book a taxi to go to the old town but upon alighting from the lift we were met by a dozen people checking in at reception. The manager/director spotted us and asked if she could call a taxi for us. We had booked a high room over looking the swimming pool everything looked wonderful until we looked down at the swimming pool. It had dark sand covering most of the bottom and the water was not at the correct level. we asked reception when it might be cleaned and within a day of our request it was done. It appears that everything of a maintenance nature was also being done. The outside pool table was being fixed,it had its pagoda/parasol cover added and in the pool a diver was spotted repairing the 2 pool lights. Unfortunately after his efforts only one light worked. The views from our balcony were fine but the afternoon and evening sun comes full blast into the room. At the time of our visit in early April the main air conditioning plant was not switched on. This could be a problem for other visitors. However the power of the sun is useful for drying any washed clothes. The dining room is very charming and a more modern extension to the dining room has been created. The selection of food was fine, high quality and varied. We frequently found that when one tray of food was running low the chefs would magically appear complete with their whites and chefs hats on and replenish them. The porridge available at breakfast really is superb, it has a soft consistency and not rough at all there are adjacent cinnamon and sugar glass dispensers to suit ones taste. The only micro comment I would make is that to obtain poached or fried eggs one has to go the grill area/show cooking where a server would cook your eggs. It would be nicer as hotels do to have fried eggs available with the other trays of cooked breakfast items.

Top marks for the hotel as it has plush carpet down the corridors outside the rooms. Unfortunately a number of hotels in the area have removed these carpets and installed laminated flooring apart from the difficulties of level differences of the floor level people going up and down the corridor caused quite a amount of noise. In the Rialto no sound of people walking up and down was heard!

At the time of the year that we were there an offer of 2 selected alcoholic or non alcoholic items was available. The prices are very, very good and it was cheaper to drink in the hotel than outside. Also we bought a bottle of white wine at the bar and surprisingly enough it only cost €4.50.

Finally direct parking outside the front entrance is nearly impossible. I would encourage every visitor who arrives by car to really study google street view so that they are familiar with all the roads around the hotel where you can park free.

Room Tip: As the hotel is North South the west side of the hotel faces the pool and afternoon sunshine. It als...

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel for seven days(27th march to 3rd april) and we certainly don,t agree with the no4 rating on tripadvisor.I always try to give a full ,frank and unbiased opinion on any hotel i stay at.Firstly the food was mainly fish based every meal except breakfast, the absence of meat dishes was very obvious after the first two days, so if your not a big fish consumer i would,nt go to this hotel.Other hotels we have stayed in have a far bigger range fish and meat dishes ,only once did we have sort of roast beef meal the rest of the meat dishes were in stews and pies. Also virtually every meal including breakfast there was chips, chips at every meal for seven days you must admit become very, very boring. My wife like any normal woman or man requires a hairdryer for her hair which this hotel does not provide you have to go to reception to hire one for 10 euros (which is refundable).Since coming home the hotel has sent me an email about our stay and is now going to install a hairdryer in all rooms as standard so i feel vindicated at least in this aspect of my review. On the plus side the room was clean and tidy and cleaned every day, but the size of the towels leave a lot to be desired(small is an apt description, lot larger in other hotels.Having stayed in the Sandos monaco beach and spa hotel in benidorm it was a lot better holiday there, and would chose it over this hotel everytime. Also we met an old infirmed couple while staying there who were booked in for four weeks, she was 90 and he was 85,when booking the hotel they did not realise it was on a hill. She had arthritis and could only walk with a stick on the flat. So they asked the hotel if they could transfer to the servigroup nereo just down the hill (a matter of a couple of hundred yards down the hill ).This could only be acheived if they paid another £1000s(talk about ripping people off). She was therefore confined to the hotel for the 4 weeks stay an they told us due to this experience this was definitely there last holiday abroad ever.So there you have my review warts and all but i can assure you very truthful.

Dear guest,

We would like to thank you for your opinion on Trip Advisor and were sorry to hear that your stay didn’t meet with your expectations. With reference to your comments regarding the food, we do offer an international buffet which is carefully chosen by our catering department where a wide choice of food is available on a day to day basis. For both lunch and dinner there is always a varied selection of meat based dishes as well as fish in order to cater for everybody’s individual preference. Our restaurant staff are always happy to oblige and if you had brought this to their attention, they would have prepared something else for you. None the less we do appreciate our guests opinions, as customer satisfaction is our sole aim.

The hotel has been installing hairdryers in all the rooms over the past month or so. Unfortunately, the installation of the hairdryers can only be done on a gradual basis, having to wait for each room to be vacant before the work is carrried out. We do, however, always have hairdryers at reception just in case somebody wishes to borrow one.

We notice you mentioned a couple staying here, who on arrival wished to move due to the hotel being on a slight incline. If they had booked directly with Servigroup we would have been able to assist them straight away, transfering them to a more suitable hotel. Unfortunately, due to them having a non refundable contract which they took out with their local travel agent, they were not able to modify their booking without incurring further costs. Since their return to the UK, we have had correspondence from them, including their daughter, thanking us for a most enjoyable stay here.

Please accept our apologies once again for any inconvenience which may have been caused and we hope that this will not deter a future booking with ourselves.

Kind regards,
Customer Service.

This is the third hotel in Benidorm from the Servigroup stable I have stayed in over the last year. All three were very similar in the high standard of accommodation and service they provide. The Rialto is slightly further away from the main entertainment area, but this means there is less noise late at night and there are many good restaurants and bars both Spanish and British within fifty yards of the main entrance. Strong WiFi reception. Slight incline up to the hotel so may not suit those with a mobility problem, although I met many seniors who appeared to have no trouble with this short incline. Stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, food varied and excellent. Room not all that big, but well decorated and cleaned daily. TV had BBC 1 and 2 with other English channels. I parked my hire car on the street within one hundred yards of the hotel. Difficult to find a fault with this place, management and staff deserve congratulations. Would strongly recommend.

Just back from a great three night stay at the Rialto celebrating a friends 50th Birthday. From start to finish we could not of asked for a better treatment. Nicky and the team on reception where friendly and efficient. We arrived lunch time on Friday and our rooms where ready, spotlessly clean and light and airy. The restaurant had plenty of choice and the staff their where happy to help and friendly with the customers. A great atmosphere in the hotel and exceeded my expectations, I would think it deserves more than a three star rating. Could not fault the hotel. A word of warning though two friends had their bag/purse stolen from the local Mcdonalds so beware!!!

Greeted by a lovely welcome at reception, we arrived early and we were allowed in our room, much appreciated. All the staff at this hotel are professional, friendly and super helpful. The hotel was immaculately clean and the room very comfortable. The restaurant was varied with plenty of choice and of an excellent standard. The staff work very hard and long hours but would always be pleasant. The location just 5mins from start of the benidorm promenade, new town end, was great. Short walk to lively nightlife and cafes. Was my boyfriends birthday and they thoughtfully sent up a bottle of cava and a card. Other hotels we have stayed in have never done this, what a lovely gesture. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, lovely first class hotel, will return whenever in benidorm. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room with pool view balcony, only seven floors in hotel

Parking: We parked outside of the hotelas there is plenty of spaces nearby the hotel just around the corner of the hotel so you can save alot of money instead of paying for parking at the hotels garage. Although it is at your own risk if something happens to your vehicle but I find that Benidorm is normally a safe place to park anywhere!

Exterior of the hotel: This Hotel dosen´t look that grand from the outside and it has a small incline to the actually main strip of Benidorm but is is ok for disabled people as it is mostly flat and not that steep. Outside the hotel is a beautiful waterfall cascading down the side of it to the entrance and it has a gold star badge and been awarded 4 and a half rating by Trip Advisor itself but to me it should be a 4 star and not a 4 and a half rating! The outside area is very clean and well sign posted.

Reception Area: When we arrived, we was greeted by spanish speaking people and a an english speaking person who seemed very nice who also spoke french and other languages, our booking was handled sufficiently and quicklly and no problems occurred, and most importantly with a smile. You did get the TV and Mini Fridge and Air Con in your rrom for free but had to pay for the Safety Deposit Box at €2 per day plus a refundable €10 deposit which is very reasonable and in my eyes your best bet to have. You have to pay for your hotel room in full on arrival unless you have paid already through an agent which is to be expected. All information was given on arrival and the area was spotlessly clean. The lifts was in full operation too.

Rooms: When we originally booked 2 or 3 weeks before prior to our arrival staying at the Servigroup Rialto Hotel we hasd asked on our booking form that we had twin beds, not next top a noisy lift of the cleaning room and over looking the pool. Due to noise etc in the mornings and late at night. We also didn´t want to be overlooking a busy road either. We got what we wanted to our amazement. Also they phoned up twice to check if our requirements was correct prior to our arrival which was excellent service. Our roomn was very airy with all facilities working apart from the telephone which was fixed after 2 attempts to make the receptionists aware of the problem. The Tv had some english channels and the balcony wasn´t so big but adequate for our needs. The bathroom was quite a good size too with a shower and a bath. The beds were comfortable too. The fridge however wasn´t that cold. You also got a Free mug each in your room as a thankyou for staying at the hotel.

Dining Experience:

Breakfast: They had a lot of choice but for diabetics like myself they hardly had any choice, the porridge had sugar added, One of us had croissants but it was full of sugary syrup with hundreds and thousands on it. Not good at all. They had Poached and fried eggs, bacon, sausage and chios. with coffee and tea and juices and toast and cereals.

Lunch: Was fantastic plenty of choice and lots of meats, cooked foods, queese and salads. There was plenty of choice. Everything was freshly cooked too.

Dinner: Was disapointing a little much the same for lunch but with extra seating area and a grill on cooking fish and chicken breast!

The staff was very un happy in the morning and miserbale but at lunch and dinner very attentive and polite!

The Bar and eveing entertainment: The Bar prices were excellent unless you had a decnt gin, rum, brandy or a cocktail which could range from €5 to over €10 on the gold selection basically the better quality spirits. You did however on your arrival get a voucher each for a free drink from the bar!

The entertainment how ever was dissapointing basically a man on a key board singing, and far too loud we had to sit outside to enjoy the evening as you could hear the entertainment from outside on the veranda pool area.

On the down sides: The pool area was mess on the day we arrived all the other Servigroup Hotels were spotlessly clean as we looked around at some. But ours had sand in due to recent sand storms and heavy showers of rain the night. We spoke about this twice to the reception staff, I got old in a not so nice way that the pool at the Pueblo up the road which wasn´t that far had a indoor pool too and we could use that since staying at a Servigroup hotel. Not that they should have noticed they had a clean pool next door at the Servigroup Nereo Hotel. I said it is too far to walk to the Pueblo when will it be clean she said possible in a few weeks she had no sympathy.

Our telephone that was not working in our room was also spoke about to the receptionist lady but again couldn´t care less.

How ever Nicky a receptionist and hotel advisor is very good at her job!

So 3 hours later we had a chat with a gentleman on recpetion on a shift change and he sorted the telephone situation out straight away and was informed the pool would be cleaned too.

Straight away about 10 minutes later the phone was fixed in the room and the pool was cleaned in the evening after 7 p.m. and again in the morning. But this should have sorted staright away. As people was trying to have a swim but if you got in you couldn´t get out. It was a hot first day too and we needed cooling off!

In the early hours of the morning on the second day there was a roudy bunch of boozed up men coming back from a stag night out. There was alot of stag and hens staying at the hotel on our visit. This hotel in our eyes is not suitable for that purpose!

All in all we are having and will have had a pleasant stay by the time we leave but possibly won´t be back as we found another one or 2 Servigroup hotels of better standard.

We was told this was like a four star one we stayed in called the Servigroup Castilla Hotel. But it didn´t reach that standard so a 3 star is about all they could earn in our opinion for this hotel and the facilities on offer.

We may return but may not. We rate this hotel in all 8/10!

A good tip: Benidorm can be pricey in the spring and summer season so bring enough spending money. It is best to book Full Board!

Room Tip: Ask for Pool side or you just get views of other hotels and maybe not the sea.
