“Fine if you are on a budget ....but think there is better to be had in Benidorm..”
Reviewed 11 January 2014

I agree with previous reviews that this is a great location & the views from the sea view apartments are fab. Nice large balcony to watch the world go by.Also it is good value for money.
Why accepting that it is a budget apartment, I don't think there any excuse for the apartments to be dirty. Whatever star rating there is basic level of cleanliness. As we are in the hospitality business ourselves I didn't want to have to clean my own holiday let on arrival!! Also embarrasing when you have been responsible in renting it for a family group
There is also a lot of confusion about who is responsible for the apartments-you collect keys from one place, any problems you take to another.... Mind you technician did come and sort out the wifi problems eventually but we had to make do with 2 hobs working on the cooker.
Despite Torre Yago, we had a great holiday in Benidorm but think there is better to be had, perhaps by upping the budget a bit..
A bonus for us was the carpark which is pretty secure and also that they accept dogs.

Room Tip: Go for seaview

Arrived 9pm and had to collect keys at the Trebol apartments across the main road and further up the street and just down from the main office.
Had a bit of a problem getting in the room door at first..there is a key for the lock in the handle also one for latch further up the door, but soon got the hang of it.
The apartment which we had was on the 14th floor, with the beautiful view of the sea, and up and down the beach.
Our friends had a smaller apartment,on level 3 still a view of the sea/beach and better for people watching couldnt see up and down the beach, just the 30 yards in front of the balcony( ours hadnt a balcony as such just sliding doors/windows.)
We were amazed at the size of it ( i intend uploading a video to youtube asap) nice sized kitchen 3 hobbed electric rings, no oven, microwave, kettle, pots pans etc, small table, fridge freezer. Our friends room had a gas bottle cooker. Through the kitchen was a room with i thought two wardrobes, they were pull down beds and off that room, a small toilet, sink and shower. There is a cupboard with a nice easy to use washer, ironing board, iron, extension cable floor washer, brush and pan etc.
Walking down the long long passage come to the 2nd bedroom where there was a double bed and a single bed loads of wardrobe space and drawers, with a safe in the side of it.
Then another bathroom, bigger this time bath/shower, but unable to use the bath because the fixtures had been put on permanent shower settings, toilet, bidet, and large wash basin.
The towels were changed every three days and bedding when you wanted it changing.
The next third bedroom was a room with two single beds...loads of wardrobe space again.I must add at this point we were there Dec/Jan and when the wind was in the wrong direction it was cold in this room during the night, cant see it being a problem in the hot months.
Next was the huge living room with usual coffee table table and 4 chairs plus another couple of straight backed chairs....there was a settee but another small settee or a couple of easy chairs would have been perfect especially when the apartment slept 9 people(including the settee and pull out underneath.
Tv was english channels.I bought Wi-fi which was so-so, but adequate for my needs.Air Con available in Summer months.
There is no pool but a garden part with kids swings, slides ect.
There are a few spaces for mobility scooters in the foyer, but no power points to charge them, although easyhire now has a facility to just change your scooter when you are out of power, which we found very very handy.
The staff we saw in the apartments were excellent helpful and very friendly.
The day after we arrived the guy knocked on the door and sorted all payments out, wi-fi,safety box.
No deposits strangely enough.
There is a locked car parking facilities if needed.
The sunrises and sunsets were brilliant.
I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: Try for a front room and not a side one for better views.

The total shambles started when searching out the key ... As a family of 6 not a good start after early flight. Accommodation in out of season not heated adequately only one heater in 3 beded apartment . One room behind kitchen near lift shaft with no heating ... And gas canister!! One socket usable in kitchen no kettle no oven ... No basics left as a welcome pack eg Scourer pad or dish clothes .... No pillow for sofa bed , more suited for young groups not family !! Security poor as lobby door nearly always open ... Maintenance man came in apartment to change canister after arrival unanounced . Balance collected by what seemed as a debt collector at the apartment as nobody was at office , had to leave keys at other apartments as office closed on day of departure. All movements from apartment above heard ...movement of furniture high heeled shoes all night from midnight till 3am and from 6am onwards . No indication on bins location and apartment never cleaned nor towels or sheets changed for a week .... Really need to look elsewhere if you want to relax .... Benidorm however was fantastic as other reviews will show!!

Spent 8 days at Torre Yago ,beginning of October. Two couples. Everything that was needed was there. We ate out all the time but could have catered for ourselves as there was a hob a microwave toaster coffee machine. Two bathrooms was an advantage. Nice balcony with table and sofa. Great place to stay and a little shop next to entrance that sold all we needed. Would go to stay again

These apartments are very spacious and are ideal if you have a wheelchair user theres plenty of room to move about and from the beach facing lounge to the kitchen its 26 steps so plenty of exercise. Downside is the walk in shower in the single room is very small if you need help an elderly or disabled person to shower 2 people wont fit in, So we found the best way to shower mum was to sit her at the end of the bath and lift her legs over the shower hose been quite long. We found the beds comfortable and firm. Utensils are are low but we don't go away to cook but a small saucepan would have been great to make poached eggs infact a couple of small pans would be great. The washing machine is of great use it was lovely to come home with no dirty laundry. The only downside we had was the Belgium man with the restaurant at the back of the building NOT been very helpful when wanting to charge the Motability scooter we hired for Mum but be firm and you MUST report any problems you have if you hire a scooter to The Office as they provide the electric and plug to charge your scooter. We will most defiantly book this Apartment again also the lifts are not big but you will get a wheelchair in and 2 standees.

Room Tip: we was on the 10th floor fantastic views but the have apartments on different floors

We werre a party of 6 ranging from the ages of 21 to 80 and suited us all. Although very basic, I feel we got what we paid for.
There was no kettle in our apartment and towels and sheets were not changed all week, but this did not deter our stay. We had a pan boiling at all times when we were in the apartment which was not cost effective for the company.

I would certainly recommend these apartments if your are looking for a no frills experience.

We were also fortunate to have the benefit of an apartment until we left (after check out) but you will need to email prior to arriving.

Room Tip: I recommend high floors We stayed floor 6 apartment 4. Other than the loud music from the tiki bar n...
