“Good - but not perfect.”

Stayed at this hotel early March, weather very good, but could be chilly at night. Hotel situated in the Poniente beach right on the sea front, and just an easy 5-10mins stroll to the old town. Lots of shops and bars close by. Hotel is very clean and modern with nice big well appointed rooms, good comfy beds and bedding, nice bathroom. Rooms cleaned every day and towels changed daily. The all inclusive drinks were available from 10am. till midnight and were all top quality brands, i.e. Bells whiskey, Gordens gin. Food was varied and of good quality, lots of choice. All the staff were excellent, cheerful and helpful, hotel manager Didier, aka" Agather " was very good and did his drag act one night,not to be missed! The roof terrace and bar was excellent, however we found the Spa pool to be too cold. On the down side, the outdoor pool was not covered or heated as promised, so nobody used it! The T.V. only had one English channel ( BBC World News), and if the weather had been poor it would be nice to have at least one entertainment channel. Non of the rooms have balconies. All in all we had a great holiday at this excellent 4* hotel.

Arrived at the hotel at 12.30pm (11 of us) and we didnt expect our rooms to be ready but the lady on check it made everything easy and got all the rooms ready for all of us, whilst that was going on a waiter was pouring us all a nice glass of bubbly - lovely touch. We went to our rooms which were clean, and very modern. Couldn't really ask for anymore.

The roof top terrace has to be the best feature of this hotel, I could sit up there all day, in fact we did and got extremly drunk. All drinks are branded, you can drink champagne all day if you wanted, I have never been to an all inclusive hotel and all drinks are branded.

Food - Top notch loads of choice and all of a high quality, quail, duck, tuna everything you could want. All staff really helpful, would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, male/female single/couples stags/hens - BRILLIANT

Room Tip: Sea view, or book a pool view then upgrade when you get there. Works out cheaper.

Just got back from a wonderful week staying at the Villa Del Mar. The Hotel really made part of our holiday. The staff were wonderful and trained to really high standard, they really could not do enough for you. Even the maid knew my son's name and made a fuss of him everyday.

The hotel is a 4 star, and it just seemed to have the 'edge' of some of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in before. The food in the restaurant is buffet style and made to a very high standard. It's all fresh, beautifully cooked and presented. There are about 6/8 choices each sitting ranging from fish, chicken, beef, pork, and vegetarian and huge, fresh salad bar so deffiinately catering for everyone. The standard of snacks was very high too (paella, pasta, hot dogs, chips, potates meats and cheeses etc) served inbetween meals. The bar is great at the Villa Del Mar too, serving Cava, nice wines, bottled and drough beers with branded spirits (a welcome change at an all inclusive).

The staff were so helpful, they really couldn't do enough for you (they offered to make anything my 2yr old son would eat). They took a genuine interest in you and any problems were quickly ironed out. They had great humour and seemed to enjoy their jobs.

The hotel itself is in a perfect location, it's on the Spanish beach, but very close to the Old Town, a 3 min walk. The beach is right accross the road and is beautifully clean. The hotel has tables and chairs outside so you can take your drinks and watch the world go by, or on the 9th floor, there is a stunning sun terrace and bar. The hotel recently underwent a complete refurbishment to a very high standard and has a nice, clean comtemporary feel to it. Rooms have wall mounted flat screen tv's and comfy beds. The bathrooms are lovely with huge power showers. There is a children's playroom and entertainment provided each evening. Some rooms have jacuzzi's in them.

This is deffinately the hotel for us for now on, and would recommend it. Looking forward to going back later this year.

The Villa del Mar is an amazing hotel, spotless throughout, friendly and helpful staff, beach is on the doorstep, the beach is scenic and clean and i noticed a few mornings keep fit on the beach. There is lots of choice of food, and you get branded drinks. We upgraded to a jacuzzi and sea view room and it was well worth it and doesnt cost a fortune. You can have champagne on arrival, but the best ultimate part is the roof top chill out bar.......... I could go on and on but its out of this world, the views, the music, the staff, the comfortable seating, the little extras, like fruit kebabs, nuts, crisps, olives. You can also get towels here and use the sauna steam room, and pool, the pool is not really for swimming more relaxing, there are massage areas, power showers, a plunge pool which is freeeeeeeeezing but supposed to be good for you if you "have a plunge". The hotel is in the old part of Benidorm and there are lots of bars and restaurants, but if you want the "mad" part walk on for about 20 mins and your there. The hotel seems to attract more families and couples as opposed to hen and stag partys though there was one stag party there during our stay and well one family. Maybe its the time of year we went. Weather was in its 20s, bit nippy at might though u defo need to bring a cardigan at this time of year. We Will Be Back Villa Del Mar, for sure, thank you for a lovely holiday, " hasta el próximo año".

Recently refurbished, very close to the beach, good kitchen, great, friendly and really careful staff. I have a comparison to the other same type hotel restaurants and this one is the best. Very big range of food. You will not be bored. Every day I was looking forward to taste something new. The atmosphere at the restaurant was like in a restaurant - not like in a canteen with paper table covers. There were few tiresome guests, but comparing to the other buffet restaurants it was rareness. The staff was very patient to our children (1 and 3). On October evening activities were rather for older people than for young couples. Stunning rooms (with a sea view). Nice swimming pools, but on October they were shaded, but we used only the beach (20 seconds from the hotel). Activities for children rather for older children than ours, but there is something what can be called small soft play cage and my children had fun there. Definitely if I go next time to this area of Europe I am going to chose the same hotel. The quality of the hotel is outstanding. The sauna area is very nice and the roof bar with a resting area is amazing. The value is OK. Double beds could be more comfy (they are two single beds attached together, but this is all inclusive hotel, so in the evening you can prepare yourself to have good deep sleep. Assuming this hotel was not the place to sleep and keep things. This hotel was a part of pleasure of holidays.

Room Tip: Take one with a sea view. Jacuzzi not necessary.

Just got home ,sadly,from the Villa del Mar.What a great hotel.We had a room with jacuzzi and a wonderful sea view.The staff were all lovely and the choice of food was great.The only downside is that we were only there for a week.Next time we go it will be for at least two weeks.

Our room had a double jacuzi bath in the room which overlooked the wonderful beach it was better than I imagined. The fully inclusive rate was fantastic I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to experience the Benidorm culture but to also have a bit of luxury thrown in.

Room Tip: Ask for a room up high as the views are spectacular
