This time last year I was writing my first review of this hotel and here i am wondering what more I can say this time. Oh yes......this time our 19 year old daughter came with us for her first trip to Benidorm. Now for those people that dont want to hear the same thing over again....look away now.
We travel between April 9th and 13th for a short break. As we walking in to the reception we were met with a "welcome back" from the lovely Veronica. Our room wasnt ready so we went for some lunch and a "welcome back" from Aida. Going to the bar for some drinks we get a "ahhhhhh...welcome back...(big hand shake)" from Alex. Eldest daughter suitably impressed by the fact that the staff all knew us but thats just how its been for us at this hotel. Its most important asset is its staff and ,for us, their most important person is you.
Room was ready and once again we had been given an upgrade to a sea-view room. On the second floor so we were initially a little worried about the traffic noise but it was never a problem. We were a little worried as to how the room would cope with the extra person but it was absolutely fine (2 adults, 2 teenagers....plenty big enough!)
Food at meal times (of which if you factor in snack times there are many) was varied and with two potential fussy eaters we never had a problem with them getting something. Sometimes meals were good, sometimes excellent. The only things i had which i didnt like were a couple of "never tried before" items which i decided to try. Ahh well, now I know.
Other people (including myself previously) have stated that the night time entertainment is not "the best show in town" but a couple of nights we ventured down and had a good laugh but wanting to show our eldest the town we actually went out a couple of nights. The location of the hotel means that it takes 10 minutes at a slow stroll to get into the old town, and more importantly, only 10 minutes to get back. The Levante side of Benidorm is close enough to visit but far enough away not to adversely impact your holiday.
The girls (my wife and 2 daughters) loved soaking up some rays on the roof terrace. Its just a quiet oasis where you can relax and do nothing or simply take in the views of the bay.
All in all another fab time at the hotel. Honestly cant say a bad word about it. (I have had to give the children activities an "average" only because our kids were too old for kids stuff so cant say anything good or bad about them)
