surprised by this lovely little family run hotel, immaculately clean rooms modern and lovely .situated near all shops and bars. great beach not far to walk to.this was just up our street as a couple not rowdy more relaxing,no swimming pool but we new this and it was not a problem, however you can use hotel pool across the road if you like.we did not bother we used the lovely beach every day to cool down the sea was like a warm bath, very popular with all.breakfast was plenty to choose from considering it is continental.staff didnt seem to speak english so well but they are very pleasant.would definatley reccommend this great hotel

Room Tip: we had room 406 overlooking a small square where the locals gathered on a night time for little chat...

Based upon some good overall feedback I booked a room at the Rosabel for a midweek stay. Located on the outskirts of the Old Town, the hotel was easy enough to find. On checking in we were given no info regarding breakfast, facilities, or use of the neighbouring Hotel Melina. The room itself was basic and tired-looking. Working from the outside, the balcony was almost non-existent and it would be nigh-on impossible to sit two adults upon the table and chairs provided. The beds were cheap and uncomfortable - furniture was chipped and had seen better days. The air conditioning functioned once a credit-card-sized object (Or key fob) had been inserted, but again there was no instruction from either reception or within the room itself. The bathroom smelt of dirty/blocked drains and although an extractor fan had been fitted, it did not work. As such each shower led to a 'steam up' and once waste water had drained away the ever present whiff returned! We sampled the breakfast on the first morning after our arrival but the offering was poor. The tea (bags) and coffee (from machine) were almost un-drinkable, then the fruit 'juices' (again from a machine) tasted like really diluted squash drinks. Cereals were cheap and nasty, plus the yoghurts were from a supermarkets 'own brand' range. Bread, meats and cheeses were available but there was no fresh fruit offer - which was disappointing considering the hotel's location. I opted for the Rosabel after weighing up the previous reviews, the facilities on offer and the hotel's location. In hindsight for an extra €15/20 per night we could have booked a nicer room in a better-graded hotel and sacrificed the inclusion of breakfast, or the use of a pool, etc. We will probably return to Benidorm, but will give the Rosabel a miss in the future.

Stayed at the Rosabel Mon-Fri in Mid August. Travelled with another couple for a cheeky few days in the sun. We were on a tight budget so that was what led us to the Rosabel over other hotels. However this is by no means a budget hotel! It spotlessly clean, the staff on reception are very friendly helpful and nothing is a bother.
Rooms have plenty enough storage and space, although the balcony is a bit snug. The room has a modern feel and the bathroom was very nice too.
We stayed on a B&B basis and the continental offerings were great, fresh pastries, bread rolls and the obligatory ham, cheese and salami.
The hotel it's self is a 5 min walk from Pointete beach and about 5 from the start of the old town.
Restaurants I would highly recommend are Amigos bistro in the old town (booking essential) and Neil's Brasserie again old town just off the beach front. We also had lunch at the Coach and Horses to the right of the beach front which was decent grub in a nice setting.

Hotel Rosabel is situated about 300m from the Benidorm beach area and close to the old town. This makes it good for people who want to stay close to the centre without the noise of night life. We staid on a B & B basis. The room was quite small but clean and tidy and equipped with air-con/heating. On-suit bathroom (Bath) was perfectly adequate for the stay. The room was equipped with a small TV which can be tuned for Spanish TV and when dual language broadcast can be changed to English.
Breakfast was 'continental' and fresh product was generously available. Lunch and dinner, when wanted, are available at the Hotel Melina situated close by as were the Melina's other facilities.
The biggest weakness of this hotel is parking if coming by car. Parking in Benidorm is very difficult and expensive. Free on road parking can be found but only with difficulty. Best to use the secure parking buildings and pay the money. Fines for overstaying on 'blue zones' is now 90 euro!
The second weakness is 'in hotel' noise. The walls are thin and every noise can be clearly heard. Best take ear plugs!
