“great hotel in the old town of benidorm”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2014

Just returned from a five night stay at the Rocamar hotel. This hotel was in a great location to enjoy the old town and a couple if mins walk to the gorgeous Levante beach. The hotel was clean, rooms spacious and air conditioned, and staff polite and friendly, would definitely stay there again. We stayed on the 3rd floor but would recommend a room on the fourth floor as they have larger balconies with tables and chairs and sunloungers. The hotel roof terrace has Sun loungers tho if you fancy a quite sunbathe. The old town is lovely with loads of shops, tapas bars and bars. Walk along the seafront at night and there are loads of bars to choose from. The new town is definitely worth a visit for a wilder night out! It is walkable but we jumped in a taxi, it was about 6 or 7 euros for four of us.

Room Tip: Worth asking for a room on the fourth floor as some had larger balconies, with tables, chairs and sun...

Yet another amazing visit to old town Benidorm and another stay at the fabulous hotel rocamar.
Lots of posts saying about no English tv (it's Spain) however you can change the settings using the remote control to change to English speaking programmes.
Love the air con in the rooms as this is a big big help during the hot months.
Family and staff as accommodating and consientious as ever.
A little gem in the heart of Benidorm ❤️❤️❤️ Xx

Just returned from a 5 nights stay and I have to say it has been amazing. I would encourage people to try the lunch whilst you may not know what you will be getting, every meal was delicious. From the obvious paella to dishes local to benidorm. Don't be put off because its all Spanish it was lovely. A couple of minor negatives,no English tv and no jacuzzi. Hotel in a great location. Room modern and dont believe all the stories you hear about benidorm its got something for everyone.

Great location in the old town, but still quiet at night, the hotel is small, down a side street with no views from the lower floors, but a great base. The hotel was immaculately clean and modern, and served a lovely buffet breakfast

Room Tip: ask for high floor with view, even if it costs extra!

Really nice hotel, modern and clean, great family who run it and are very helpful. Central location and idea base, you can return to unload and get out of the mid-day heat. Little things like a free fridge in your room and freshly made pastries in the morning make for a wonderful stay. Recommend.

Room Tip: Check out the roof terrace - hot tub, cold showers, small gym and sun loungers - get a really good t...

As a frequent visitor to Benidorm I like to stay in old town and live like the spanish.
Last year I found the Fetiche hotel which was excellent but this place exceeds there! It is modern and contemporary ideally situated minutes from beach and next to tapas alley.
The check in was easy and the receptionist really helpful..even showing me how to work air con, and providing a kettle and mugs free.
Theres a fridge in room and hairdryer in bathroom. perfect!
we opted for room 402 following other reviews and well worth the extra few euros., a spacious patio area and sun beds provided.... other rooms had only tiny spaces outside.
Breakfast was ample, scrambled eggs , bacon and beans on a hot tray.. fresh pastries, fruits and yogurts etc u have to ask for a coffee capsule for the nespresso machine but someone always on hand to show how it works...would have preferred the coffee to be left out though instead of asking for a capsule.
The flat screen tv had no english programmes but didnt bother us and we were not affected by the noise except in afternoon when babylon bar played music loud..on their roof top terrace .
staff were great and we will definitely be back.
(previous review recommended tony morans bar...I would rather poke hot sticks in my eyes than go there!)
Be careful down tapas alley..we ordered quite expensive meal and it came with crisps and not chips! the salad was a plate of lettuce and one tomato...
if u venture to new benidorm the other end..drinks are very cheap and a three course meal is only 12 euros!

Room Tip: 402 ask for terrace
