We aarrived in the Regente app 12-30 sat night. we we greeted with friendliness from the night manager and given a packed meal to eat. In the morning we went down to an immaculate dining area, greeted be a friendly waiter. the hygine standards are excellent.
The hotel, cleaniness, staff, pool area are second to none. Rooms cleaned every day, towels clean, maids so friendly, meals and choice of meals, excellent. Friday night is gala night and i would recomend this evening to all who stay there. All in all, one excellent hotel .
Close to all amenities, but, so quiet at night.
Would go back or recomend to any one !

The hotel has a friendly atmosphere. Entertainment every evening, starting with something for the children. Restaurant is clean with a good choice of food. Gala meal every Friday evening with a carvery and champagne. Swimming pool area is clean, only fault they allow smoking on one side if the entertainment bar and you can smell it on the non-smoking side other wise no complaints.

I thought the hotel was good value for money. The hotel should be a 3 star and not 2.The food was very good and great hygiene standards. My children loved the area by the pool to play. The hotel was in a quiet area but still a short walk to the beach and shops, bars etc.The family rooms were a little small but a lovly bathroom and cleaned every day.

If you’ve been to Benidorm before read the review just about the hotel if not keep reading about the resort.

We stayed at the Regente the last week of March along with family members who had been to this hotel before. We read the earlier reviews but were not disappointed. The hotel was really nice, we enjoyed our time here.
The staff were very friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day and the rest of the hotel was spotless. And the lifts worked.
We went on a full board basis but I understand you can go half board. Hand sanitisers are in place before you entered the restaurant (but surprisingly some people did not use them) Often the lunch menu offered a better choice than the evening meal, but after the breakfast all you really need is a light snack. Gala night was roast beef and yorkshire puddings. (not bad for a spanish hotel).
Drinks in the bar are comparable to what you would pay at home and they do a happy hour a couple of nights week. You have to pay for drinks with your evening meal but they don't come round and "hassle" you, just order at the station.
The location is up a slight incline but very close to shops and a short walk to the beach. Not really what I would call "the rincon" cos that can be very hilly. You meet people and tell them you are on "the rincon" and they are staying up proper "cardiac hill" that is a trek.
The pool area is non smoking but there are tables away from the pool where you can smoke. There is also a decked balcony above the pool area and you get the sun most of the day.
Two minutes walk to get to the beach and there is the marvellous promenade to walk to the Old Town. You will see people building Sand sculptures on the beach and some of them are amazing. You can take photos (but just offer them a few cents for the privilege).
The beaches are cleaned every day so ideal for kids. On another note the Spanish and exc pats all have dogs but the place is dog dirt free. (not like home)
The Old Town is much better in the summer when it is buzzing with the locals eating at the "Tapas Bars" they all ,go even the kids . It's a lovely walk after your evening meal, and you can always stop off for a drink on the way.
WATCH OUT FOR THE "POTATO AND PEA" GUYS on the promenade because they are still there. (March 2009) They work in groups and are only after your Euros. You will see them with a cardboard box with a crowd round them that are gambling on the result of the pea. A bit like Tommy Cooper with the glass and the bottle but not funny cos they will rip you off and the lookouts are watching for the Police turning up, which they do regularly, and surprise surprise they all run off. The lookouts are part of the group.
The shops in the old town are amazing, it's a shoppers paradise. Designer shops, leather goods, you name it you will find it here.
Market day is Sunday & Wednesday. Same items you can buy in shops but much cheaper ~Watch out for the gypsies though (pickpocketting)

The entertainment in the Clubs is good (the prices of the drinks pay their wages) but hey ho you are on yer jollies so don't be surprised to pay 10 E for two drinks. There is something for everybody in Benidorm try it out and enjoy yourself.

We stayed at the Regente in march 2009
This is the second time me and my husband have stayed here,we liked it so much the first time, that we decided to take my mother this year.
The hotel is really clean.
Our room was a bit small for 3, but it was ok for 1 week.
If you can, stay at the reception end as you get the sun most of the day on the balcony, but theres not much to see only the next building, but if you stay at the other side you can see all the shops.but the rooms are v. clean and cleaners call every day to clean your room.
We stayed f/b, the food is ok but a little repetative not much on the dessert side but overall ok.
The position of the regente is in the rincon area, which i think is the best area to stay, as your not in the middle of all the hussle n bustle, but only a short walk to the centre, the lovely beach is only a short walk along 1 street.
Benidorm its self is great, there are loads of shops for the ladies(ie clothes n shoes)as my husband says "a ladies paradise "you can get to lots of different places by bus and its a good walk along the beach to Benidorm old town and then on to poniente beach which is really quiet.
I would recommend this hotel and benidorm to all ages as it is a great place to go

Booked this holiday last minute and got a real bargain, from getting there to leaving we had a fab time apart from the unsettled weather.
The hotel was spotless andthe staff were really friendly. Our room was cleaned every daywithout fail andwe recieved clean towels and sheets too.
The food was good too, something for everyones taste. They venhave a gala night when there is a roast on and everyone gets a glass of champagne with their meal.
THIS HOTEL SHOULD NOT BEA TWO STAR, MORE LIKE A FOUR.
IF YOU GET THE CHANCE TO GO THERE THEN GO.
The entertainment in benidorm is fab and there is soething to suit everyones taste.

Stayed at hotel 13-20 March. Party of 5. Was somewhat worried about all the bad reviews on here but pleased to say never heard or saw anyone being unwell. Food was always hot; hotel spotless and clearners always in attendance. Hand sanitisers outside restaurant and all guests seemed to use them. Entertainment left alot to be desired but it was aimed at the older generation so maybe they found it good. Overall, no complaints.
