16 of us stayed here,it was ideally situated for the nightlife the rooms were basic but clean, the entertainment was a little dated but you did not have to stay there as a great pub over the road called neptunes,we all found the food was excellent and the service and friendliness of the staff was great except for reception who were quite rude,i would go back

Was impressed with hotel although rooms were pretty basic they were clean and had everything you needed, hairdryers/remote controls etc. can be collected from reception for €20 deposit - room was a good size and bathroom had a powerful shower and was cleaned every day. Food was really good and much better than I would have expected from a 3* hotel - lots to choose from and different menus every day. Saturday night when we arrived there was a cold fish table with prawns, mussels, crabsticks, together with several hot meat dishes which were all delicious and fresh salad area, vegetables, desserts, fruit, rice and pasta dishes. Breakfast was good with bacon, eggs and all the trimmings, cold meats & cheeses, coffees/teas/juices, cereals in fact could not fault the food at all. Staff were very pleasant and friendly at all times and couldn't do enough for you. There are 2 bars one which has a country & western theme and opens out to the street - great music and very lively! The second was the main bar which had entertainment every night with tribute singers (Neil Diamond, Elvis etc.) all really good and a large seating area - probably caters more for the older generation. Pool area a little bit overcrowded as the hotel was fully booked but no problems finding a sunbed or chair although not much space left to walk inbetween. Hotel is in a great location if you want to be where it all is and there are loads of bars very close by with entertainment every night (comedians, hypnostists, tribute singers) all free to watch. Loads of hen and stag parties about so very noisy in the area surrounding the hotel. All in all had a great few days.

Just arrived back from a weeks stay at the ambassador , in our opinian the food was the worst it`s been in our ninth visit ,i had to use the microwave at least six times because the food was just to say warm .The food choice was okay if you liked pork or stews , and the hot ?? desserts were either stewed apple or pear or bananas in some sort of liquid . They used to have a number of specials on an evening this week it was two , ham of the bone and another night mussels and prawns with a few crab sticks . Breakfast consisted of cold greasy bacon with dried up sausages and mushy chips if required but the baked beans were red hot . The hotel now seems to cater a lot for the ever increasing Spanish visitor who do not like waiting in a que for breakfast .But one good thing is the hotel is still kept spotless and i hope this was a minor hitch but talking to a lot of other guests they have said the same as us food terrible

We arrived at Ambassador on 3rd March for our 3wk stay. We had e.mailedhotel previously to ask for low floor and was given room 202, which was a pool view, what we had paid for. Never had any noise from outside( we closed patio door) The weather was very good , every day we sunbathed round the pool and was able to top up me tan. Only had rain 1day which did actually last all day!! The evenings though were still frosty, so you had to wrap up well on a night. We found the food was an improvement from previous visits and more varied variety. Pasquel the resturant manager was very cheerful attentive and came roundevery meal time to have word with us. The rooms always get cleaned daily, also clean towels. beds get changed twice a week. We didnt meet as many people from previous years, but of course everyone gets older each year, so may be unable to get. We dont think we shall go again in March, will wait until the evenings warm up. I came back with chest infection and ended up with Broncho-pneaumonia, was in bed for 2wks.! We had a brill time as always and will def be back to this hotel

Room Tip: in winter you need pool view rooms for the sunshine, in summer get back rooms as they are cooler!!!

Stayed 1 week 31st March- 7th April at the ambassador, first visit to benedorm may be the last.Traffic noise unbelivable they need new patio doors to help with noise. Other guests screaming & shouting early hrs of morning every day so no sleep.Cleaning awful the room was not that clean when we arrived but my toilet & bath had not been cleaned by day 4. I had to complain to rep to get it done, sheets changed once & did not fit the bed. Now the food, restaurant down an awful passage like we were entering a gym/swimming pool.
Meals on wheels & school dinners spring to mind (no thats an insult to both of those) same food day in day out, cheap greasy spoon style food. if it could not be boiled in gravy it was not prepared, baked beans at every meal, we lived on chip butties until we were sick of them, soup out of packets, I don't see how they could call the cornflakes cornflakes more like cardboard & fatty bacon & the scrambled eggs well I cannot describe them. By day 4 we were eating out. Hotel in awful part of town, if I go back I will stay with the spanish in the old town

Room Tip: room over looking pool but then you will get the noise from the bars/entertainment

we came back on the 25th march,we were in this hotel for 4 wecks, and i have read some comments from other very unhappy customes, and i think that are not thrue. The hotel maeby was only 3 stars, but the room ware cleanet every mornig, and the bed changed every two days, there waren plenty towels and soaps, and the room always looked and smelt fresh.I don`t know how anybody could complein about the food, becouse the buffet meals waren plenty food, for break fast there was everything that i have ever seen in any hotel (as Maitre d`hotel for 30 years,i have been around) there was fresh panini, crossons, pastry, brow and white toast, orang, apple.pears, and peach juce, coffe, tea, cioccolate, cold or hot milck, and for main dish, there was, bacon, sausage, fried, and scramble egges mushrooms tomatoes, baked beans, and ---french fried ???? plus dont forget the Porridge, and semolina, and fried onions!the buffet lunch and Diners was alwes at least 4main dishes, one of Fish,2of meat,1of chiken, with varioses vegetable and always fried potatoes, and boilled one,and also was always a cold table with diferents cut of meat, and cheses. There was plenty food for every one.In the bar it was dance musik every evening and a bit of cabaret, there was one hour beetwen 8 and 9 oclok, for a happy hour.the town was very interesting, and quite reasonable(wenn you went in a no turist side) The only think, was that the people on the front desk, and the restaurant staff weren`t to friendly, maeby becouse there was no tipping!

Room Tip: ask for a room with the pool wiew on the second or third floor.
