What a great place Benidorm is,normaly we stay just outside the new town but we decided to stay at the Ambassador,to be in the hub so to speek.
The only downside of this hotel was we were faceing John and Joseph's,which is 24 hr cafe/pub.
We wre overlooking the pool, very good because it was entertaining...1... Watching all the people run as soon as the door's were open to the pool area to place their towel's.
Even the old one's.(and i am 62) it was hilarius.
2... We were faceing the stage of an evening and could watch all the entertainment,Whitch was very good.
Getting to the staff (absolutely brilliant)you cannot fault them, they were verry helpfull in every way,I was up early every day and on the balcony every morning watching the staff cleaning the pool area and I must say Rafeal should get a pay rise, he was the most hard working member I saw that would not stop grafting, from 07;30 to finnish whitch sometime's was past 8 pm.
The selection of food was very good,we had something different every day with all theme's Greek,Spanish,Japonese, all sort's.
all in all a very enjoable experience and we have stayed in Benidorm about 12 time's now.

Room Tip: High room only 6 floor's. faceing pool

Just arrived home today after a week at the ambassadoor 1 my husband and I first of all check was fast as their were a number of people arrived with us there was one man on reception he was very very efficient and took minutes to check every one in ,we asked for high floor and quite room at the back and we got it we was all given a bag with food in as we only arrived at 3 45 am .the room clean and if you put the air con on you had good sleep quality .food was good good as we were on full board and never waited to be seated.the negatives are not enough umbrellas at the pool but have to say the pool man was excellent as people were reserving beds and chairs and he would remove there towels etc and put them on chairs near the toilet as the pool area was very busy ,people moaned at this but if yous items were remed he would find you another sun bed he was very pleasant the young man and did a good job and he was polite but I think there should be a notice saying if sun beds left un attend for more than an hour there things would be removed then every one would not give the young pool attendant a hard time.also pool area could do with some nice colourfull flower beds to brighton it up .this was the first time in benidorm at first didn't like it as to many hen and stag groups there but we went into the hotels and quieter bars and it was hot so a nice holiday .but don't think we would return but would recommend the hotel hope this is helpfull ask for a room at the back it's quieter .

Room Tip: High floor and at back of hotel get a safe and hire a fridge .

Just come back (1st July) from spending 2 weeks in Ambassador Playa 1. Hotel was great staff work really hard to make sure everyone has a great time. Ian the entertainment manager WHOOO WHOOO does a great job and Rapheal the pool area manager is tireless in his efforts to ensure that everyone gets a lounger so be prepared he will take your towels off any lounger that are unoccupied for some time which is fair enough. The only thing I was not really impressed with was the food. There was plenty of it but I felt it was a bit repetitive but it did not spoil our holiday. I would recommend this hotel it is situated close to all the night life which is just fab, something for everyone, hotel enter and only 5mins from beach. In fact I am going back in October with 3 of my friends for my 60th birthday so that should be fun. Just a word of warning we had a room overlooking pool which we paid extra for I wouldn't bother again it was a bit noisy at night especially if you got a gang of Liverpool supporters in John and Joseph's (which is opposite) singing You Never Walk Alone at 5·30 am.

Room Tip: Room at back of hotel quieter.

Quite possibly the worst place iv stayed, thankfully we had no kids with us. For this reason we spent no time at playa ambassador except to sleep. Have yet to make it to the pool and tried the food once and after a mouthful ditched it. Safe to say we won't go back. One bonus is that it's central.

I have just returned from a hen weekend, with all 8 eight of the party staying at the Ambassador II. I booked this break and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this 3 star hotel despite the cost. We stayed on a half board basis. Evening dinner gave plenty of choice, but especially enjoyed the breakfast, though i would recommend you bring your own teabags as theirs were very weak. Location wise it is perfect, close enough to be in easy walking distance, but far enough away as to not be too noisy! The beach and seafront are beautiful, and despite all the drunken revellers, is kept clean. Would definitely come back here, next time with the husband!

Room Tip: Our room was overlooking the pool and street and had a much better view than those at the back. And...

Stayed recently in 1 with thomson. Room clean small, beds good, hairdryer in bathroom.no tea coffee facilities in room.Noise didnt bother us at all. All staff encountered excellent. Special mention too nadia in restaurant, always polite and courteous. All meals v.good. no pancakes breakfast but cant have everything! Salads nice fresh. Special mention to the paella and chocolate fountain with all the extras too dip. Hot drinks would be nice with all meals. Only complaint is about shower room that is made available to those getting picked up late. It is just a shower and sink. No where to put clothes bags etcs.no chair, floor flithy, dirty towels, water everywhere. Had too go into ladies toilets too get dressed. Would return to this hotel in future as its in a good location .
