“Another good holiday at the Venus.”

I returned from the Venus yesterday after my seventh visit (the second this year) and yet again, I’ve enjoyed a splendid stay. I had emailed the week before asking, if possible, to have a room with a balcony which gets the sun during the afternoon. On my arrival the very friendly and helpful chap on reception informed me that he had allocated me a room overlooking the terrace on the ground floor. I have stayed on this floor previously and the great advantage of these rooms is that there is no waiting around for lifts! As usual, the hotel is very clean, both the rooms and public areas, and I cannot fault the cleaning staff. I had read adverse comments on this site regarding the recent changes with the restaurant furniture, but I cannot see anything wrong with this. The important thing is that it in no way detracted from the quality of food which is plentiful, varied and tasty. The restaurant is looked after by the rather jolly head waiter, who has been there for a number of years, ably assisted by his efficient staff. During my stay, I spoke with several people who, like me, return time and time again, which must be the best testament a hotel could wish for. Time to start thinking about booking my next trip, I think!

Just returned from 7 nights at the Venus HB. Arrived Friday 1st Nov, from the friday to the sunday the food choices were a lot more varied, unfortunately, from Sunday evening onwards the food was disappointing. I found plenty choice for breakfast, would recommend the omelettes, but the evening meals were repetitive and lacked choice.
I had emailed the hotel and requested a double bed, which was is what I got. The rooms and the main areas were very clean. I found the staff in the restaurant were only interested in selling drinks. Due to the heat the hotel turned on the air conditioning, but after staying here in May 2012, I found it rather ineffective.
While staying at the hotel 2 ladies split something on the bed cover, unfortunately, it had leaked through to other side of the cover, but the ladies were charged 66 euros for the damage, and this was just for the single cover. So please be very careful when your in your room. I don't think I will return to the Venus. I was in the Calypso in February and found this to be a better hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the pool as the balcony gets the sun all day.

this was the 3rd time of staying at the venus and cannot fault it at all. went in oct with my sister and felt safe as no one could get into any areas of the hotel unless had a swipe card. the rooms were spotless and staff were friendly. the restraunt had changed from previous visit and felt a little more like a cafe but was spotlessly clean. plenty of choice for all meals. pool area was clean though water quite cold. plenty of sunbeds and parasols. near the market which was on sundays and wednesdays. about a 10 min walk to the beach and near plenty of shops and bars. good in the hotel bar as drinks when we went were 2 for 1 so good value for money. would definately stay again, in fact looking to go back in may/june. the rooms were of a good size and always cleaned along with clean towels daily. fridge and safe in room also.

Beautiful hotel well situated,very helpful and pleasant staff.Hotel is very clean BUT the dining room is terrible no service no table cloths,extremely noisy, mediocre food ,. i am sorry to say a complete let down

Another great stay at a Servigroup hotel,the Venus is in a good location only minutes away from all entertainment but far enough from the noise,food is a great standard,always something to eat even for the picky eaters,cleanliness unbelievable,staff very helpful and pleasant,the bar always seemed to have lots of people in,I think with 2 for 1 drinks,but we went out every night to see entertainment in different places,we found bedrooms adequate for what they are for,(sleeping),the bathrooms are beautifully done out,with walk in showers the fridge in these hotels are an added bonus for cold drinks or milk for hot drinks,says it all cos we are going back to the Venus December 30th,should be 4star.

Room Tip: Try to get pool view which we had,some people say rooms on roadside was noisy at times.

Just returned from a week in this hotel, as you approach it looks very nice, clean, modern, we were told our rooms would not be ready for an hour, we returned an hour later to be told it was still not cleaned, although others had come after us and got their rooms, we eventually got our room, extremely small, more like a single with two single beds in, the balcony over looked the pool which was very nice, the bathroom was clean although tiles were broken on the floor, then the bathroom door, glass, see through but granted it was frosted but it had a gap all around it so you could see everything, and if you were on the loo you were sat opp the bed.Walls too thin hear everything our neighbours had no consideration!!! Food .....good job we both like salad. .the hot food was plain, nothing seemed to go with anything, always battered fish in little clumps.. not much choice. we ended up eating out a couple of times. Then something went missing from our room, we complained and kicked off so to speak. and when my partner said he would go to the head of Servi group within half hour they had been found...strange....people were older than us but that doesnt really bother us, they seemed friendly enough, .I went to the bar one night and stood there whilst three other people walked up and got served, another holiday maker commented was I invisible. I left without drinks...wont be returning,...hope the Calypso is better in Feb.

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor.

Regarding your room, we would like to inform you that the official check- in time, stipulated by law, is between 12 - 16 hours. In any case, we always try to have all rooms ready before this time.
Although the reception staff informed you that the room required with a pool view was not available, need to be cleaned, and offered you another room, you preferred to wait till a pool view room was available.

A few days later, as soon as you informed to the reception that you weren´t satisfied with the room you were assigned due to your neighbours, the reception staff offered you a room change. You then came to reception and indicated that pair of leather sandals went missing from your room. Fortunately, when the cleaning staff started to clean your previous room she saw your belongings behind the curtains and immediately reported it to reception and they were given to you. We have evidence that you apologized for this forgetfulness to the hotel staff.

With reference to your comments regarding the food; we do offer an international buffet which is carefully chosen by our catering department, where a wide choice of homemade food is available. None the less we do appreciate our guests’ opinions, as customer satisfaction is our sole aim.

This is the best hotel we have stayed at in Benidorm, helpful friendly staff, great food, excellent room with great shower and all very clean, we even had good weather in November, what more can you ask.

Room Tip: We was on 4th floor over looking pool; would recommend
