We stayed at this hotel for a week in October, we chose this hotel as we wanted to be near the old town away from the madness that can be found in the newer part of the resort. We were very pleased to get to our room and find it to be large, bright and modern and the sea view was great. We were very comfortable and the room was very clean and was kept that way by the hard working staff. As it is not a large hotel we found the dining room unusually calm all of the time, no waiting to be served drinks or to help yourself to the food. We never struggled to find something nice to eat, and although I tend to stick to cheese after my meals on holiday, found myself having sweets most evenings as they were lovely and much nicer than the average hotel sweets. The bread and butter pudding was delicious and not at all stodgy. We found the wine prices in the dining room very reasonable and we paid on average 8 euros a bottle for really lovely wines both red and white. Also the prices in the hotel bar were slightly less than what we were paying in various bars in the resort. We felt that the pool area could possibly be improved but as other people have already said, the beach is only across the road and so clean. Benidorm gets a bad press but we went because we needed a week away with sunshine with only a couple of hours flight from a local airport, it was out of season but the weather was great and even at 10.00pm we still had short sleeved tops on. The old town was very busy but not in a rowdy way, there are lots of small streets with tapas bars everywhere and the atmosphere was lovely and very spanish. The hotel also had Spanish and English guests. If you are looking for a nice relaxing week in a lovely hotel and in a very handy spot, this hotel would be a good choice, we would definitely return.
