Stayed here start of July for a week.Family of 4 in a sea view top floor.Rooms and hotel is spotless.Staff very very friendly.Great view from the room and just across the road from the beach.5 minute walk and your into the old town and all the shops and bars etc.If you want to poarty etc then 6 euros takes you to the new town and all it's many bars and shows. When we stayed it was mostly Spanish due to their holidyas but quite a few British staying as well.Food very good and different every night but be aware if you have children there is no childrens menu.Plenty of sunbeds and parasols available and all in all very good.Fridge in the room and supermarket across the road so you can fill it with cans of pepsi etc.

Downside - room walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the next room.Family of four have two single beds and a settee pull down bed which is the most uncomfortable thing I have slept on.I honestly thought a family room would have 4 beds or two doubles like the hotels I have stayed in, in the past.No inflatables in the pool which was a major dissappointment for the kids. The slide in the pool for some reason gets turned off for a couple of hours in the afternoon which means no slide for the kids until it goes back on later in the afternoon about 4 o'clock. And finally be prepared for the price of drink at the poolside bar.We are not big drinkers but on the first day I ordered a vodka and diet coke. The vodka was poured into a smallish plastic cup(to be expected at the pool) which was 3.80 euros. The small bottle of diet coke was 1.85 euros. So 5.65 euros for a smallish vodka and diet coke in a plastic cup at the pool. You can guess we did not have many other drinks at the pool.

Room Tip: Always go for a sea view. The back of the hotel has a terrible view

Thank you Gordon for reviewing the Hotel RH Corona del Mar.

Good to her you enjoyed the food and location of the Hotel, we are very lucky to be in such a beautiful part of the Resort.

Just to respond the pool bar prices, they are the same as the bar prices in the Hotel, which are reasonable and not over the top.

The slide is turned off a couple of hours at lunchtime whilst most people are eating and also because it is so very hot, a lot of guests are in the shade or inside the hotel. It is also part of our contribution the environment by not wasting energy.

We don’t advertise a children’s menu at the Hotel RH Corona del Mar, however here is plenty of options for them to eat a well-balanced diet.

Kindest Regards

Been to Benidorm a few times before and stayed in the new town. Made a welcome change staying in the old town. Hotel was ideally located with the lovely poinente beach across the road. Staff were friendly and rooms were spacious and modern. Food was really good and strongly recommend there own house white wine. All in all a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Second time to this hotel but found entertainment solely for Spanish when the hotel had lots of English there and we all pay good money to stay there. Food good but not the selection as previous year. Swimming area needs to open at 9 not 10 god forbid if you sit there before 10 you are spoken to like a child but again I think this is because I'm English Spanish treated very differently. Bar staff excellent and cleaners.

Room Tip: Sea view is a must

Hello Gill,

Thank you for choosing the Hotel RH Corona del Mar once again.

I am sorry you think the entertainment is solely for Spanish but it’s not true. Eva does her very best with all guests in the hotel and the shows we out on are for all.

In relation to the pool area, we are now opening the pool area at 09.30. In order to deal with your issue of being spoken to like a child a message has been sent via TripAdvisor and I hope very much you will respond, so I can speak with the person in question.

We do not treat English and Spanish differently and I am terribly disappointed that you feel that way,

Kindest Regards

Arrived back home on the 1 July after another lovely holiday at the Corona Del Mar. I ditto everything I have said in my previous reviews! Still a special place for us!
A lovely hotel, that never fails to let us down. Was a nice surprise to see the hotel now has tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, and the full length mirror a welcome addition!
Just like to add for people with children. The hotel does provide a wide variety of entertainment day/night time for kiddies during main holiday season which is excellent! This is provided in and around pool area, as well as indoors through out the day.
Once again , I'd like to thank everyone at the Corona for your hospitality! A big thank you to Rosario our chambermaid for being patient some mornings with us, due to my husband health problem. You are a diamond!
Looking forward to our second visit on 30 Sept this year.

We have just returned from this wonderful hotel having stayed for 11 nights, it's location is excellent, a lovely clean hotel in a great position almost on the seafront All the staff are lovely and very helpful, there was an excellent choice of breakfast, my daughter and myself especially loved the donuts. They were the best we have ever tasted, the crepes were also a very nice addition to breakfast. We only had lunch once, we chose the Paella which was lovely. Evening meals were very good, with a wide choice every night, lots of different salads, there was a different meat every night cooked fresh on the grill. One night in particular it was Kebabs which my husband and daughter loved. Wide choice of meats & fish, we even had steak & peppercorn sauce which was delicious. Potatoes varied ranging from boiled to sautéed, chips & new. There was also a range of fresh bread and rolls, cheese biscuits & selection of cheeses on different nights. Desserts were lovely with a selection of cakes, mousse , fresh fruit, yoghurt or ice cream. The rooms were nice and modern, cleaned every day, the hairdryer in the bathroom was good, there was also a kettle with coffee & tea bags provided. We had a room which was at the back of the hotel, despite reading that these rooms overlooked a cemetery, which was not off putting at all. The air conditioning had 3 settings which was good. The pool area didn't open until 10am which we thought was very good as in most hotels we have had to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sunbed. There was none of this at this hotel and we had no problems getting a sunbed or a parasol at all. The pool bar opened around 11am every day. On a few occasions when my husband could only carry two of our drinks to our sunbeds, the waiter brought our other drink over to us. It was lovely to be able to sit & have a drink on the outdoor terrace from morning until late at night & be able to look at the sea. I thoroughly enjoyed the Irish Coffee, which was the best I had during our stay in Benidorm. A special thank you to the lovely Diego for being so friendly to us during our stay. He always had a smile no matter what time of day or night. I also thoroughly recommend this hotel as we were definitely not disappointed at all during our stay. I celebrated my birthday on the day of our arrival & the following day was our 20th wedding anniversary. On both occasions, the hotel sent a bottle of champagne on ice to our room which was delightful. All in all, the hotel was a lovely place with excellent service. We could not complain.

We had booked half board and arriving just before lunch, we were asked whether we wanted to take the full board option at a cost of €39 per week each. This seemed to be very cheap, so we chose to have lunch and try it. The food was plentiful and there was a good selection salads, plus a small selection of meats, deserts, fruit and fridges containing yoghurt and ice cream.

We reported back to reception to collect our room key and agreed to take the full board option, but what we hadn't considered was that we would be offered 28 versions of the same buffet, with very minor changes. Chicken, chicken, chicken. Vegetable soup, vegetable soup, vegetable soup with an occasional chicken soup. Boring to say the least and after the first week, very unappetizing.

I can honestly say that our eating experience was the only blemish in an otherwise extremely good hotel.

Room Tip: Most sea facing rooms don't have a sea view and those facing inland overlook the cemetery.
