The hotel was very clean, food was very good with great choices and trust me I am a picky eater. Staff were helpful and the location was good so you could visit the rowdy pubs and clubs and go back to a quitter location. It was early season during visit in April but the hotel was well prepared but little entertainment but was due to start up. Would definitely visit again as this was our first visit to Benidorm

Just got back and was in one of the new suites and the room was fantastic. We have also stayed in the old rooms 2 years previous and they weren't that bad. If you like to sleep in this is not the place for you at the moment as only floors 19-25 are finished and they start banging and thumping at 8am, It was said that full refurb would take until September and the speed it's going that might not even be possible. Try and get the higher floors we were on floor 22. Having said that the quality of service and vast amount of food on offer was fantastic and it's usual high quality. freindly and helpful staff and the cleaners are thorough. Hotel and restaurant spotlessly clean !! Will be back next year for sure, couldn't think of anywhere else in Benidorm i'd rather stay

Room Tip: If you're going now you need either the highest floor ( 25 the top ) or the lowest or be prepar...

I have stayed at this hotel previously, in June last year prior to the refurbishments and couldn't fault it, however this time around was a different story. I stayed in room 2004, which was newly refurbished. At least, it looked new. Let me give my opinion of the room...

In the old suite, there was a bathroom, a bedroom (with a wall separating it from the living area where a sofa bed can be used) and the door led into a hallway where the bathroom and a small kitchen area was. The bedroom had two single beds with a space between them. There was nothing wrong with the layout.

What they have now done is turned the whole apartment around. What used to be the living area is now the bedroom, and they have done away with the hallway and kitchen area to make a bigger "bathroom" (there is no bath, but I'll get to that) and the only thing separating the living area from the bedroom is a glass sliding partition. Simply no privacy. You have to walk through the living area to get to the bathroom. Also, the room I ordered was a twin, and yes, I got a twin but the two single beds were pushed right up against each other and you couldn't fit a cigarette paper between them. I'd have been better off just ordering a double bed.

The bathroom is a riot. The ceiling had paint flaking off it as if there had been a leak upstairs, and there was an electrical socket next to the sink hanging off the wall. The bathroom has NO bath, but a very, very nice walk in shower. The issue with the shower is that only half of it is partitioned, so while you are having a shower, you can't relax, because water goes all over the floor! You spend longer wiping up the floor when you come out the shower than you do anything else! There really should be a full length door on the shower to stop this happening.

The living area had a sliding door cupboard, no idea what size it was inside, as the door was jammed shut.

The restaurant downstairs seems to have had a makeover, in that they have bought an extra 500 tables and chairs. I am a very skinny guy. I'm about 6 foot, and weigh 9 stone, and even I couldn't squeeze into the chairs as there is NO room whatsoever between your table, and the ones in front of, or behind you.

The entertainers during the day are a pest. They do a good job, yes, however we mostly sat at the pool bar, at the tables and chairs there. The bar had a radio on, playing some really decent music (not just my opinion), then the entertainers would come along, trolley out a massive speaker and put on the most dreadful rubbish you've ever heard in your life. When asked to turn it off, they replied "We need to keep it on, it's the rules". Utter nonsense. Why no go and put it on by the pool or somewhere else? When there are a handful of people happily enjoying chatting, and amongst ourselves, clearly we don't want loud banging music!

While I was there, the renovations were still ongoing, and aside from being woken up at 8AM every morning with banging and drilling, we all actually had a laugh watching the mount of guys it took to build a tiny fence next to the outdoor barbecue place, was really rather amusing! Despite the early wake up, they really didn't bother us at all, and really done well to keep disruption in general to an absolute minimum.

The plus points...
The food in the restaurant is excellent. Always a wide choice, and it's always hot.
Aside from the warning about the twin beds above, the rooms are actually decorated to quite a high standard, and are very welcoming.
I like the location of the hotel. It's far enough out the way that you don't get constant noise at night, but close enough that you can walk to any of the bars, beach etc.
The staff are fantastic, especially the guys at the bar, they do go out their way to do an excellent job!

If you are two friends, who don't want to sleep on top of each other, don't stay here unless one of you wants the sofa bed...

Room Tip: All the rooms face the same way at this hotel. Whichever room you stay in, you have a pool view. T...

Arrived on 2nd May after being told all renovations would be finished unfortunately this was not true they have only done about 10 floors so all day there was banging and sawing which got a bit annoying. Food was very repetitive and was not hot, I did complain to the restaurant manager but nothing changed. We eventually got one of the new rooms which was very nice and when it is finished it will be lovely I only hope they can improve the food. I also found the staff a lot more friendly than the last time I was there.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the renovated rooms

Stayed in this hotel 3/5/14 to 10/5/14
We stayed in one of the new suites on the 21st floor.
Room was fantastic in every way and the daily maid service was spot on.
Food was the best I have had in any AI hotel in Spain or its islands the lunch and evening selection of dishes were beyond reproach carvery roasts grilled steak grilled fish curries ect.
And the chef doing the serving and carving was excellent.
As other reviewer have mentioned the drinks are served in disposable glass,s in the main show lounge but if you prefer a glass glass all you have to do is get your drinks from the Jazz Bar or the Sports Bar.
Out of the seven nights we stayed there was shows on five nights and karioke on two which were two of the best attended nights in the show lounge which every one seemed to enjoy.
All in all for value service and cleanliness it was unbeatable.
When the refurbishment is complete this hotel will be one of the best value destinations in Benidorm.
