First time visit to Benidorm and pleasantly surprised. The Sandos is in a great location just on the edge of Old Town. Room 503 was fine with a view over the pool. The food was very good with a great choice. We especially liked the soups. The entertainment was very Spanish and at the weekends the influx of Spanish guests meant it could get very noisy, especially at meal times but overall was never a problem. Raquel the entertainments host was excellent and even took us on a guided tour of the Old Town which was a bonus. Tried the spa circuit and it was very enjoyable.

One slight negative - I inadvertently left a pair of shoes in the room and despite contacting the hotel by email and also getting a Spanish friend to actually ring the hotel direct to enquire if they had been found, I had no luck iand they were unable to reunite me with my shoes or even let me know if they had ever been located which was disappointing. Lesson learned - thoroughly check the room before you leave!

In addition Monarch were at their usual worst a 3 hour delay on return due to a problem with the aircraft but all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and plan to return next year.

Room Tip: Room 503 was in the shade until late afternoon.

Booked for The Benidorm Fiesta 9/11/2011 - 16/11/2011. All inclusive. Generally a good hotel but with a few wrinkles. All inclusive was good. Pool was closed and this only became clear as we arrived, also the provision of picnic lunches had been stopped as from the 1/11 even though we had confirmation from Sandos Monaco they were still being provided. The rooms were fine and clean although on our last day I dropped a euro onto the floor which rolled under the bed - under there had not been cleaned. The showers have a problem in maintaining a constant temperature ,it goes cold without warning and scalding hot within seconds - take care. Location of hotel for the fiesta, the beach and the down town bars was fine. Evening entertainment was not the best but would do. I would use this hotel again. Going at Fiesta time is thoroughly recommended and the complete programme is available from the tourist office albeit 24 hours before the fiesta begins.

Room Tip: Would prefer rooms on a low floor as the lift has the potential to be a problem at peak times.

We stayed at the Sandos Monaco in November 2011. We were there in a group of 20 people as we were there for the fiesta. I have been to Benidorm for many years now and i have to say this is the best hotel i've stayed in so far. The hotel is situated in the middle of the old and new town. Just a short 5-10 minute walk to shops, bars and the square. The rooms are very clean with a small balcony. Bathroom with bath, shower,wc,sink and beadie. The towels were changed every day and sheets a couple of times but we only stayed 5 nights. The staff are very friendly and would do anything to help. We were all inclusive. At the hotel if u want smirnoff vodka, cider, wk, smirnoff ice etc u are asked to pay 10 euro extra per day of your stay but all u need to do is ask for it and u get it for free:) The food was excellent. You get everything, at breakfast there was everything from cereal, toast, fried bread etc and every kind of eggs from fried, scrambled, boiled etc. Basically full English breakfast and theres also fruit, yogurts, cakes oh and also champagne breakfast...just help yourself:) Lunch was ok and the dinner at night was also good. There was a different theme every night but if u didnt like it there was other choices such as pasta, chicken, beef, pork, salad, cheese, pate everything u can think off and loads of different puddings. Also wine to help yourself and soft drinks. The bar lounge was really nice with a pool table and they also had entertainment every night from karoke to quiz nights. There was also a bar upstair which was good to relax. The bar upstair had a bbq a few days a week which the chefs made piaella, ham etc. It looked really nice. The pool is also really nice(big enough) with a seperate one for kids. I would recomend this hotel to anybody as its far by best i've stayed in. Cant fault it one bit as everything was perfect.

I was last in Spain 30 years ago, when I went away for the first time with friends when I was 17.
Myself and 3 girlfriends go away every Feb for 4 days usually to a European city in minus degree temps. sight seeing so this time we went for somewhere abit warmer and we were not disappointed. We had 4 days lying on sunbeds in bikinis & came back with a tan top up dispite the locals in coats and hats. We didn't think it was cold at all !
The check in at the hotel was quick, but we were to early for our rooms so we just went to the bar, not a problem.
We had 2 rooms on the 5th floor which were very nice, especially the bathroom. They were quite spacious, modern & nicely decorated. The twin beds were very comfortable except for the pillows which were so thin we had to double them over to sleep on.
There was a flat screen television, fridge, furnished balcony but no coffee making facilities which would have been nice.
The restaurant was abit canteenish, but we found the food to be very good and the staff were lovely. We never had a problem with the temperature of the food either as some people have mentioned and we enjoyed the bucks fizz at breakfast, nice touch.
The bar staff were great and we never had a problem getting branded drinks, the vodka was definitely Smirnoff !
We really liked the young lady who did the entertainment, she worked really hard and was genuinely friendly. While we were there it was valentines and there were alot of older Spanish couples and expats staying at the hotel, which can only be a good advert for the hotel. We had a really good time with the Spanish guests, they were very friendly and loved teaching us to line dance at the disco.
I can't comment on the spa because the sun loungers were calling we never got to use it, but it looked very nice.
All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel for a short chill get away.I can't comment on Benidorm its self as we didn't really go anywhere except to the Benidorm Palace one night for a meal & the show which was an excellent experience.
We booked this break with On The Beach and thought it was excellent value for money.

This hotel is fantastic, staff excellent, food great, clean, and extremely helpful.
We booked in to this hotel with a wheelchair and needed a wet room shower, unfortunately they only had one and that had been booked by someone else.
I sope to both the manager Fransisco and the deputy manageress Lorena and within 2 days they had the builders in to remove the shower tray and put in a wet room for me, now if you can tell me you can find that sort of service ANYWHERE i will eat my hat THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, also they are going to revamp more rooms to wet room showers as they have seen a problem and have acted on it. If i could give more star's i would.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent as far as i have seen
