just returned form a winter break in Benidorm and a 1 week stay all inclusive at The Sandos Monaco, a wonderful place to stay, Situated in between the old town and all the bars and clubs about 300 metres from the beach about a 10 minute walk to either 1. Food was very good and recommend at least one 8 0 clock breakfast to get some of the warm homemade bread before it goes cold. Entertainment in hotel is as expected not great but watchable most nights, but try to get a seat at the bar end of the concert room in the winter as when the smokers go out the top door a cold wind blows down the back wall, most of staff were great really friendly and quick off the mark and also let you get 1 or 2 extra drinks. Hotel was really clean and and rooms were really nice and odd numbered rooms on the higher floors get the afternoon sun.

Currently on our last night in Benidorm. Staying at the Sandos Monaco, which is a great place. As others have said, the staff are very friendly and the service comes with a smile.
Food is great and there is a choice for everyone.
Special offers on the spa and massage will make your break extra special.
If you like motorcycle excursions then you must do the harley ride up the mountains with Fred in La Nucia, there are flyers in the hotel reception (but message me for more info of if you want to check before you go) , great roads and stops, lunch in a village.
Cannot fault this Hotel... A++++

Our first time to Benidorm and having seen all the fantastic reviews we stayed at the Sandos for a week with my parents.

A lovely spotless hotel with sanitising gel outside the restaurant, toilets and elsewhere. Staff friendly & accommodating. Close to a supermarket and 10 minute walk to the beach.

Food plentiful with a different theme every night. Yes the food was recycled into other forms the next day but that happens in most all inclusive hotels. The actual food as an all inclusive is the best we've experienced in terms of how much choice was on offer. Vegetables were not always as hot as we like but there was something for everyone and plenty of it.

The food was always replenished and the staff worked very hard.

Rooms large and very nice with a balcony to sit out. Safe inside the wardrobe and a fridge. We were on 12th floor but there are 3 lifts.

Only problem is you can hear the furniture moving above you and as it is heavy wood it was annoying. The bed is actually two double beds together so when they are separated the bed is scraped across the tiles. The doors are so heavy every time somebody banged the door closed you could hear it and if we were asleep it woke us up. My parents fridge door kept scraping on the tiles every time they opened it - frustrating for anybody in the room below them.

There were several groups there for stag/hen and birthdays and we were woken several times throughout the night/early morning with drunken behaviour. The hotel were quick to deal with it but once your sleep is disturbed a few times a night you can't get that back and this happened a few nights during our stay.

Pool & jacuzzi very cold as they are in the shade most of the time. We couldn't always get a sunbed on the terrace as people were reserving them with their towels and not turning up for 3 hours or more!! It would be nice if the hotel stopped that happening.

We didn't use the spa and if we wanted to use the indoor pool you had to pay. We did use the gym and as small as it is it was adequate for the number of people using it.

Rachael worked very hard to get people involved in the daytime entertainment - kudos to her as being adults only the majority were 50+ until the stag/hen groups arrived.

The evening entertainment was ok but tended to start at 10.00 or later and some nights it was boring.

A must see is The Benidorm Palace. The show is brilliant and the food superb. Great value for the money.

We went to the port and did the excursion to Calpe at 22.50 euros each. Once we got there we were hassled by all the restaurants to have lunch with them - straight off the boat. When we finally found them (as they are not signposted well) the Roman Ruins were not worth the visit. We did see dolphins on the way back but a bit of a wasted day.

We probably won't return to Benidorm as we like places with culture & history but if we do we would stay at the Sandos again. Despite the negatives it is a lovely hotel.

We had 2 great weeks at the beginning of November the weather was brilliant so bonus there for a start. The hotel was absolutely lovely the rooms were spotless and very well furnished the beds were very comfy. The bathroom was very large and again spotlessly clean. The food was very varied and there was something for everyones taste. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. No queues at the bar as they were so quick to serve you and always with a smile. This is an adults only hotel which we enjoyed. The beach is about a 5 minute walk away and all the bars and shops are very nearby. We are definitely going back next year this time for 3 weeks cannot wait.

Room Tip: All rooms either overlook the pool or the sea so any of the rooms should be okay

We went for a late sunshine break and found the hotel lovely. The sun shine, the staff were very helpful and the food and drinks flowed. We weren't sure what to expect as reviews were very mixed but having stayed in top hotels all over the world we found that this was amazing value for money.
