Have been to Benidorm a few times and this is by far the best hotel, The rooms are clean and fresh bedding & towels daily. The food was very good and a varied choice, that was plentiful, hot and replaced regularly. On the first day you do have to get to know the set up of the restaurant as the food is in different areas - but once you get to know the place, all is good. The 'Gala Meal' on New Years Eve, saw a fabulous variety of food, including Lobster/Crab/King Prawns - however, it was a bit of a 'free for all' to get the food. The bar service is the best, with a variety of local and international drinks. We tried to book a SELECT holiday before we went, but could not as it was full. Do not regret Not having select as we were drinking international brands like JB whisky & Bacardi (Try a Hot La Mumba or Champagne Cocktail)!
The entertainment was ok, but nothing special. The group on New Years Eve were excellent and kept the party going until very late! Route 66 did not connect with the audience, but the Twins, Flamenco and Circus acts were good. Plenty of opportunities to dance and ENJOY! We will be going back as it is a lovely hotel. *In reply to a previous review, we were advised to reserve a table for NYE as 400 people were coming to celebrate. My Partner did put a bottle of wine on a table for us. Many other people did the same... sorry you missed out, but this hotel is so friendly, you could have come and joined us! See You Soon Sandos Monaco - 'Save Your Kisses for Me'!

Room Tip: A High room gives fabulous views of Benidorm and the promenade.

Just got back from Benidorm this is our 8th New Year and the best hotel yet !! Staff and hotel great couldnt do enough for you. New Years Eve fantastic atmosphere. Hotel would have benefited from English tv only so much sky news a person can watch. Will hopefully be back next year. Entertainment was poor but still enjoyed it seeing other people who obviously were enjoying themselves . Could do better in this area not geared up for english but plenty of places out of hotel to go to. only half pint glasses for beer which meant several journeys to bar but didnt stop my better half from drinking.

my wife and myself went last chistmas by ourselves for 11 nts,it was awesome! so good when we came home on the 6th jan we booked again for 2013,but this time 14 nts Christmas and new year, we met so many people who have now become friends, this year was fantastic, the food was beautiful, something for everyone,i defy anyone not to find something, the gala dinners were 5+, lobster, giant prawns, several fish, beef, lamb, pork, turkey, red, white, rose wines on table refurbishished when empty, champagne, absolutely faultless.the staff, well I hav`nt seen any better anywhere, fantastic nothing to much trouble, that is wright through the hotel, everyone of them!!! the bar staff ,AWESOME!!! full of life and mega fun, rachael she`s a diamond, reception staff fabulous fabulous always had a smile! and would solve any problem, entertainment, all the dancers were brilliant, espescially the dirty dancing scene!the only mega downfall was ROUTE66, they were awful, there last year, again this year!! twice a week, the worst singing I`ve ever heard, that voice made of nightmares!!!! please sandos show them the door!!!!! it would make a lot of people very happy!! the rooms are fabulous, beds very comfy,32" flat screen, again sandos please could we have a couple of engish channels!!, the spa, fabulous, as for indoor pool? it`s the spa, yes it`s extra but 3 days a week there`s a deal,15 euro`s for 2 people, bargain! we were in room 813 fantastic, sun all day, nice and quite, except for odd muppets dragging furniture about, beyond me no consideration for others, the class of clientele were excellent full of fun and laughter and would join in, okay a certain o t t, but enough said, I just blanked it, all in all another fantastic Christmas and one of the best new years I`ve ever had, will I go back? I won`t answer that,ha ha already looking at prices!! thankyou again sandos for a fabulous time,

i must say the sandos was not as enjoyable this year, entertainment mostly some sort of dancing ,the girl who is in charge of entertainment wore the same clothes every night except new years eve when she looked stunning make up on and a nice dress.food could not fault it loads of choice .bar staff were very nice and well mannered not like some of the brits ,our room was to warm but we just kept the balcony door open the wardrobes are to small its difficult with two sharing how three manage i dont know.xmas and new year are very expensive i think their should be water in the room ,a free safe and entrance to the indoor pool what made our holiday special was our friends.i know you are talking about us ,you know who you are when i say eight of us sat together four went in fr dinner and four went when we returned.we had problems last year and always had to sit next to the freezin cold smokers door.the new year was spoiled rather by some travelers they were loud and used quite upsetting words .the hotel located near the old and new town the sun terrace has the sun all day drink and snacks are always availible we will return but are hoping the entertainment improves.one tip bring a light suitcase as clothes and shoes are so cheap.

Room Tip: high floor,sunny balcony

Stayed for new year , this is the second time we have been and had a good time. Made a comment last year about the entertainment and I am sure this year they played exactly the same music and the singers sang exactly the same songs as they did last year. We are a group of four, young 55-59 year olds and we are not ready for the entertainment on offer at the Sandos, please look at the music you play and update it! Also please stop people saving seats on New Year's Eve, you know who you are, ("save your kisses" for me entertainer!!) it's not on we all want a good seat!!!! Apart from that we had a brilliant holiday, prob not go back next year but who knows in the future.

Before choosing this hotel we checked out all the review's and it seemed to fit the bill for everything we wanted for a xmas break . What a let down it turned out to be . The photos made this place look like paradise , it's just a pity they were taken some years ago . The foyer and entrance look amazing and classy but this is as far as it reaches . The rooms are tired and old looking even though it has supposed to have been recently refurbished ( 5 Years ago we were told , not quite recent you would think ) There was 2 small drawers , 1 bedside cabinet , and 1 small ( difficult to access ) double wardrobe with 10 clothes hangers all in a horrible dark brown colour . Some days it was almost 3pm before the rooms were cleaned and the sheets were only changed once in the fortnight we stayed there . One day no towels were left and it took almost 5 hours before we received any were forthcoming ( after going to the desk twice and asking for them ) . As the Maid took about 12 minutes to clean each room and there were only thirteen rooms she should have had plenty of time to get things right . The food was plentiful but very repetitive with the same offerings for breakfast every day for 2 weeks and all the products were of the cheapest quality . The staff were mostly friendly and tried to help when asked and the spa was a joy to use ( at an extra charge) but the entertainment was rubbish and the upstairs bar closed at 6pm every night so most people felt obliged to go out of a night-time , this meant dodging the dog dirt on the path leading down from the hotel towards the beach wich seemed to be a favourite place for the locals to bring their dogs it's just a pity they dont bother to clean up after them . As this was not a cheap holiday i would advise anybody to look elsewhere as there are much better hotels out there at a better price

Room Tip: If you still want to go here ask room 13 ( good luck ) on the 10th floor or higher as you will get t...
