“Short break”

Stayed here for 3 nights as a lone traveller. My room was number 1 - right next to reception. It was a lovely big room with a double bed and though it overlooked the main road outside it was quiet. I arrived at 1am and though i was only half board i had the pleasant surprise of a snack left for me ( bread, pate, fruit and water) and the room was clean and i had clean towels each day. I would have liked a room with a balcony because of being on my own I could have sat and read a book etc. The food was only average but I was able to have a substantial breakfast each morning. I did not hear any other guests speaking English in the restaurant or by the pool so I went out in between meals as i had hoped to find others to chat to but the staff were helpful and gave me directions to other places. The ampitheatre next door is a lovely place to walk round and it only took a nice 15 minute stroll to the livelier areas though if you have any mobility problems its an uphill climb back. i would stay here again but would ask for a room with a balcony.

Room Tip: Room 1 ideal if you have mobility problems but no balcony and had to keep the windows and curtains s...

We stayed at the Prince Park Hotel from the 7th to the 17th July. We were on the 4th floor and had a fantastic view of the park and swimming pool.
We were the only guests on our transfer bus staying at Prince Park, and our check in was quick and easy. We payed for the use of a safe and fridge, but got a deposit back at the end of our stay.
I have read lots of reviews of this hotel, and was a little bit worried about the food before we arrived, but I really had nothing to worry about and cannot understand the grounds people have for criticising the food so much! Breakfast was a great selection (There were only hot dog sausages twice during our stay). Perhaps the English breakfast selection wasn't amazing, but there were loads of other things to choose from... continental style cheese and meats, bread rolls, croissants, churros and chocolate, cereal, yoghurts, fruit. We thought that lunchtimes were better than the evening meal. There was a paella every lunchtime and everyone I tried was delicious. The salads were nice I thought... yes, perhaps they used some of yesterdays ingredients, but I don't have a problem with that. The only criticism I had of the food is the lack of signs and labels. There would be 'beef', 'turkey', 'fish', but there was no description of the sauce or the type of fish. The salads, veg, potatoes and kids section were not signed at all. Despite this, we found something we enjoyed every meal time. Our hotel room was perfectly adequate. The bathroom could have done with updating and tidying up a bit, but we think that for what we paid, the hotel was great value and we would definitely stay again!
Also, we were there at the same time as another reviewer who has mentioned the event in the park with loud music. It was 'Costa Soccer' and occurred on our first night. We saw the parade in the Old Town and then it finished in the park with fireworks and music. For me it was one of the highlights of my holiday and 'made' my first night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the park. corner rooms had huge balconies.

Stayed at the Prince Park in June with a large group of friends for 3 nights. Hotel is very clean, we had a great room with a first class view of the adjacent events arena which is like an amphitheatre. The staff in general were quite friendly, although one or two were quite rude in asking us to clear the terrace after the bar closed, even though we were just sat chatting and were not even drinking. Special thanks to Marina at the pool bar for being patient and friendly with a large group of mixed age males and the entertainment guy for arranging some poolside games. Food is plentiful with an adequate breakfast and plenty of choice. You get what you pay for here. A little bit off the beaten track from a location point but taxis are cheap. Good spot if the Old Town is your thing. Transfer drop off is only a minute from reception. Thanks PP ,enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a lower floor with a view of the park.

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel between 9th July and 16th July 2014! We had a wonderful holiday, however the some aspects of the hotel weren't great! We stayed in Room 412 on the 4th floor, and we had an amazing view if the park. The room was cleaned daily and fresh sheets every 3 days and fresh towels every day.
However the food was absolutely horrendous! There is a salad bar at the beginning of the buffet and a lot of the food looked like it had been used for lunch, then put out again for dinner. A lot of the food wasn't labelled, so you had to taste it first to see what it was, even then it tasted awful! On a few occasions we skipped breakfast because all there was every day was hot dog sausages, gross bacon, beans and fried eggs! We did have toast, but by the time we had found the butter(it's in a different place every meal time), the toast had gone cold!
The food put on in the later part of the week was slightly improved, however some of it was still in edible. On our last night we decided to have something to eat in the old town because we hadn't had a proper fully edible meal for a week.
There were two lifts in the hotel, and trying to use them (especially during meal times) turned out to be a problem, so on some occasions if we wanted to get to the pool from our room, we found ourselves walking up 8 floors.
The pool bar was never open until 12.15pm which is a bit silly considering the pool is open from 8.30 and your not allowed to take your own drinks to the pool, nor buy from the bar because they are in glasses rather than plastic cups.
On our last night, my partner was using the toilet on floor -3 (the bar) and saw 2 cockroaches on the floor, this was reported to a member of the bar staff who just shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. If this had happened on the first night, we wouldn't have stayed!
Most hotel staff were very friendly and polite, other than the receptionists who we're telling us the wrong information, and answering the phone on more than 1occasion while I was trying to ask a question! Shortly after we arrived, I asked for directions to the supermarket ,and was told to stand outside the front door and I would be able to see the sign! This didn't tell me how to get there, although it wasn't hard to find, once we had seen where it was!
The hotel was in a good location to get to the old town and the new town however the gate to get onto the park from the pool and bar was locked at 21:00, so if you want a nice walk around the park during the evening , make sure you are back by then or you will have to walk backwards and forwards or up a lot of steps and/or a very steep hill to take you to the road, and then up a hill to take you to the main doors and reception area.
One night while we were there, there was some sort of festival happening on the park which resulted in a lot of noise until 12:15 midnight. we didn't mind the noise but it would have been nice if we were told!
I will hopefully be returning to Benidorm at some point in the near future, however I will not be staying at this hotel, nor will I be recommending it to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for park view!

Check in quick and easy all relevant information supplied as an added bonus my request for a low floor with in a corner room with Park view was fulfilled to the letter. hire of safe and fridge 33 euro with 10 euro returned on departure not too bad.

Room spotlessley clean though a tad on the small side having said that sufficient stroage for two adults for a week nice balcony with park view and afternoon sun extra wide single beds firm but I slept like a log the whole week. Televison mainly spanish but could get ITV 1,2,3,4

Meals

Breakfast a pretty good choice of cereals, hot dishes bacon sausage, eggs, beans tomato, good selection of pastries ,couisants, breads biscuits etc Tea pretty good coffee not so good

Evening meals pretty typical of 3 star benidorm with salad bar one or two meat dishes and one fish not a desert person so cant comment on those , half bottle of wine 3.50 euro or full bottle 7 euro ,water one euro
in my opinion pretty good value for money and a lot better than some hotels I have stayed in the uk

any staff we had contact with were always polite and helpful,

Location about a 10 minute walk down through the park takes you to the corner of the avenue meditarainea at the old town though felt longer on the way back.probably about 30 mins to british end. there were buses available from outside the hotel going to old and new town for 1.40 euro a taxi was about 6 euro.

Cant comment on the hotel entertainment as spent most evenings chilling in the street bars and cafes of the old town

All in all a nice pleasant and peaceful hotel and i would not hesitate to visit again or recoomend to couplles or families with young children though not perhaps for teenagers

Room Tip: any room over looking the park

I normally wouldn't review a hotel for at least 6 weeks after coming back to allow myself chance to 'forget' the initial experience.

In the case of Prince Park, I don't think that would help anyway! Brilliant! Quite simply, BRILLIANT!

Booked with Jet2 in December (always great discounts) for a 50th birthday getaway. Like to stay different places in Benidorm and get a different experience each time.

Recently been to Riviera Beachotel - Very swanky but out of my budget now.
Hotel Palm Beach (up cardiac hill) - Great hotel if you don't mind walking hills.
Staying at Marina on Calle Gerona in September,

Stayed in the old town for a change at Prince Park and what a choice it was. Great location if you want to have a central base and explore the Rincon in the east, or Calla to the west, as well as being right in the heart of the old town.

Many who go all inclusive and lounge by the pool all day never see this side of Benidorm. Their loss really!

Emailed about 6 weeks ahead requesting a top floor room looking over the park AND a double room (hate single beds). Checked in 22/06/14 just after 9.30pm. Unfortunately to late in the evening for a meal but a buffet was awaiting us in room 719 overlooking the park. Just what we ordered.

Scottish! receptionist made the language barrier a bit easy and very pleasant and prompt service. As was afforded by ALL members of the hotel staff.

Rooms were slightly on the small side but very comfortable beds. Bath and shower more than adequate. As was the foot spa next to the toilet! Always good for getting rid of that sand.

Food was excellent though less choice then other places we have stayed. Steak & Pork pie to die for. Never any gravy though??? For those complaining about hot dog sausages every breakfast, we had them 1 out of 6. Not all europeans like english pork sausage.

Free wifi in the bar and evening entertainment if that is your thing. We prefer people watching on the square with an ice cold San Miguel.Nothing funnier than watching hens falling flat on their faces after 40 vodka & cokes!

Weather was great too. 96f and I am still feeling the burn! As was the gecko sunning itself on the balcony.

Would we go back to the Prince Park? Next week please if you are paying. Only real downside where the views. Surrounded by scrapers and residential. But if you are only using the hotel to sleep, this wouldn't be a problem.

I will certainly recommend Prince Park to friends ad look forward to returning in the future.

For all the nit pickers reviewing this hotel. Consider how little you paid, but how much you got!

Room Tip: Any room facing the park is better than a view of the hospital.

For a 3* hotel Prince park is decent, especially for the price! Food was different each day and not a word against it, one night their was a mexican night where a right good spread was put on. Our rooms where cleaned each day and fresh towels where put out, very tidy.

Before staying there i did read the comments on here about there being a lot of Spanish in the hotel. Firstly, i thought so what? after all it is Benidorm, but we did find ourselves getting glared at there. Another thing is that their really isnt any entertainment, no music played so those who wish to stay in the hotel may find themselves to get rather bored! The square of pubs and beach side is not to far of though only a 10 minute walk.

Also, the night staff dont allow ANY noise when returning from a night out so us youngsters did find ourselves in trouble now and again, and we wasnt even being very loud. However, the day-time receptionists where lovely women and very helpful, especially when it came down to asking for directions.

Overall a good stay :)
