“Spanish hotel but plenty of Brits and fairly well looked after”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

I have stopped at this hotel on numerous occasions . we like the hotel but this time we were in the main building, with the lifts being a nightmare at peak times . We like to stop in one of the annex buildings surrounding the pool but we did not get one this time . [ it was August] My partner and son love the food but me not so much ,i.m very fussy. But over all we like this hotel but I think I will go self catering next year

Room Tip: try and get the annex rooms you will not have to wait for a lift

Spent 5 nights in this hotel. Great family break. Kids loved the different pools. Buffet had loads of choice and menu changed each night. Staff really friendly at reception. Rooms good size and very clean. Nightly entertainment was ok but the hotel is close to tonnes of other bars, there is plenty of choice.

Just returned from a week at the Pueblo, with my family kids 14 & 16, very good overall, food was excellent and a lot of choices for breakfast and evening meal, one thing I found strange was if you bought a drink from the bar you couldn't take it in the restaurant you had to buy your drink in the restaurant. We had a room in the annex block on the bottom floor which was good for not having to bother with lifts, despite a few stag and hen doos there I didn't hear any noise. pool area is fine, if you want a sunbed I would recommend getting your towels out by 8:30 at the latest, a lot of Spanish there in that week so all afternoon entertainment and games were done in Spanish, ( there crap at darts). Don't know what the evening entertainment was like as we went out every night, no way we were staying in a hotel on a night with all the great acts to watch in the bars.

Just back from a week in the Pueblo! I'm a Benidorm regular and love the place but this was the first time in a lot of years that I'd stayed in the Pueblo. We were a party of 7, 4 of us being my sister, her husband and 2 grand daughters aged 12 and 13. They had booked what they thought was a suite for themselves and the two girls which turned out to be an average sized room with 4 beds, squashed together with no space between them and just room to move around them! At a cost of over £2,000 this was unacceptable! It took a couple of days of constantly complaining before they were moved into a larger room in one of the annexe buildings. If you're planning on going high season like us don't even bother trying to get a sun lounger at the pool cos you've no chance unless you're up at the crack of dawn! The majority of these loungers lie unused with towels draped over them most of the day!! There IS a sign up that states that towels will be removed if left for more than an hour - they'd be as well just taking the sign down as no one bothers with it. The lifeguard at the pool tends to have a queue of people at him all day complaining about the lack of loungers! The pool area basically is not big enough for a full hotel and 4 annexe buildings! It may have been a Spanish holiday week when we were there? I don't know? But The majority of the guests seemed to be Spanish, fair enough, but we felt the hotel catered mostly to them! The kids entertainers at the pool only spoke in Spanish so most of the British kids couldn't join in very much. The put on a Mamma Mia show one night that the kids in our group wanted to see but - lo and behold this was in Spanish too!! Big let down Pueblo!! Would put me off going again! If you don't mind all this then it IS a lovely hotel, staff were nice, rooms were lovely on the whole (maybe the air con could have been better?).

Dear guest,

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your comments on TripAdvisor.

We are sorry to hear that when making the booking for our hotel you thought it was a suite. We would like to inform you that the rooms for four people have two beds with two extra beds. We apologize if we didn’t manage to offer you a room change on the date of arrival, unfortunately, in high season due to the high occupancy it is sometimes complicated.

It is forbidden to reserve sunbeds. There are signs around the pool area with this prohibition. However, if you had informed it to the lifeguard he would have immediately, removed the towels and given you a free sunbed.

With reference to our entertainment team, they have instructions of speaking in both English and Spanish. We apologize if on a particular occasion they forgot to do so. Be assured that we have passed your comment to remind them that the activities must be made in both languages.

Once again, please accept my sincerest apology for any inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,
Customer Service.

First time in Benidorm and first time with Servigroup.
On arrival at the hotel reception our first impression was clean, beautiful decor and very organised with friendly staff. We were offered the choice to stay in the main high rise hotel or the annex at the back, as my wife is not keen on heights we chose the annex.
The annex is very noisy with every door shut with a slam, any movement, voices seem to echo around. A suggestion would be to adjust all door closing mechanisms to allow the doors to close without the slam. And that is the only complaint.
Room: serviced daily by friendly staff.
Food: Excellent,with standards and choice.
Restaurant: well managed, nothing to much trouble, again with friendly staff.
Pool side: very busy with normal towels on sun beds problem, but with excellent 1 hour rule adhered to by lifeguard.
If you were to have a problem or just need a question answered see Lynn at Servigroup help desk for excellent service with a friendly smile.
We are planning a return next year, to Benidorm with Servigroup but a different hotel, and this is only because we like a change.

Room Tip: If you are a light sleeper choose main hotel
