Stayed at rossamar for 5 nights over Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel staff put in a lot of effort on Christmas Day , food was very good, plenty of choices, restaurant itself looked lovely and festive.

Went from Glasgow to Benidorm for a week starting from: Saturday/16/December/2017.

We've been to Benidorm a few times around this time of year. The climate is obviously better than here in Glasgow.

We decided on the Rosamar to be honest based on price and because we had stayed there years ago (18 in fact) As other reviewers has already mentioned, the hotel rooms are in dire need of refurbishment. The public areas are perfect, but the rooms are dated.

All staff that we had dealt with were very pleasant and polite. Living in the old fashioned room was bearable, just. We requested a low floor room via email soon after booking, and the reception honoured our request and got a room on the 2nd. floor.

The Rosamar is located in a convenient site in resort. With loads of bars, shops and other popular hotels all around it. 5 minute walk to the beautiful levante beach.

We were booked on a Half Board basis with Jet2.com. The restaurant always had plenty of choice of food. If you require Wifi in your room you have to pay: 5.00€ per day, this allows you to connect 2 devices. If you don't want to pay, then all the public areas around the hotel allow free connection.

We also booked a fridge for the room which cost: 3.50€ per day. To hire the safe is: 2.00€ daily plus a: 25.00€ deposit, refundable when you hand the key back.

To sum up: a very good break away to a lovely resort. Not sure how this last comment will be perceived but feel I have to make it anyway. I sort of suffered an upset stomach for 2 days early on in the week. My wife suffered badly to the point of being physically sick on our last morning. Not sure what caused us to feel unwell, especially happening at different phases if our stay, but from speaking to and overhearing other guests at the hotel, there were a good few more with similar symptoms. And booze certainly wasn't the cause as neither of us drink.

Stayed 2nd Dec - 9th Dec 2017. Holiday was slightly ruined due to sickness and diarrhoea unfortunately, we put this down to the food. However, I did notice the cleaner use the same mop for every room on our floor, without changing the water. The rooms are very out dated and there was a huge crack in our wall. I cannot fully complain as the staff were all lovely and we still did have a great time (barring the two days of illness) but I feel that the full place just needs a huge revamp! Would stay again but maybe wouldn’t recommend.

The hotel is in an excellent position for the entertainment and shops. It does need a bit of an update but that doesn't stop you having a lovely holiday. The all inclusive food and drinks were very good we couldn't complain there was something for everyone every night, the waiters weren't the happiest unless you we're Spanish but it didn't bother us. The lifts are a bit slow but they do arrive eventually and didn't break down when we were there. The rooms have walls of paper you could hear everything from the room next door but the room itself was big enough and the wardrobe had plenty of hangers in them, plug sockets not ideally situated but we managed. Overall a nice hotel.

Room tip: Low floor if you don't want to wait for the lifts.
