“Lovely clean appartments in quiet residential area”
Reviewed 27 February 2011

Stayed at the Terralta and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Reception staff very friendly and shop on site met our needs. Although the appartments are in Old Town - Benidorm we frequently walked to the New Town and got a bus or taxi back to the appartments.

we stayed at the terralta on the 19th january 2011 for one week , on arrival we checked in and went up to room, only to find that we were facing out onto a main road which was dissapointing, as WE HAD BOOKED A POOL VIEW, however this did not really affect our holiday to much as there wasnt much to see at the pool anyway, as it was to cold, , i couldnt reall fault the rooms to be honest as we found them very comfy, most of the staff we very helpful apart from a couple of the workers, but you get that most places, we were looking for a really quiet holiday, and that is exactly what we got, because we were there in january it was mostly older people, but they were all very nice and easy to get on with.

the hill leading up to the hotel is a bit of a killer, its ok going down but we prefered getting the bus back up, only costs 2.5 euros for 3 of us to get right down to Levante beach overall i would definately recommend these apartments, especially in the summer as it is alot busier and more to do,

These apartments are lovely - the funiture is new, the kitchen is spacious and the pool (although freezing) is huge. The problem is just how far away from anything they are. A 10 minute walk downill will take you to a small supermarket (there's one on site which is thankfully well stocked and not too expensive) and bars/places to eat. A local bus which stops outside will take you into new Benidorm, but apart from that it's taxis. On the plus side it is very quiet, but that's not surprising seeing as there's nothing bur residental accomodation around it.

Me and my Fiance stayed here for a week from 21st to 28th January and recently come back, the Hotel itself is nice and everything apart from the steep hill leading down to the shops and the fact that there's not much around apart from a burger king, but anyway back to the Hotel, we arrived at the Terralta apartments on Sat 21st and arrived quite early to be faced by a woman on reception who was nice at first and then asked us for 60 euros in a rude way, we then went up to our room which was basic like most hotels, we went onto our balcony and we was placed at the back so we didn't have a good view of the pool or sea view or anything like that, so that was quite disapointing, we also noticed that the cookers in the room don't have an oven just the hobs, toaster and microwave.

The living room has a telly but majority of channels are in spanish apart from channel 38 which is a music channel, during the day it plays american music and latest charts, and channel 31 which is the news channels but if you want english channels you have to pay 3.50 euros and you get bbc1, itv1, movies24, skysports 1 and adult channel. Or you pay it in payments. The bedrooms have 2 single beds with a drawer in the middle and a door leading out to the balcony. The Hotel itself has a shop near reception but it was always closed by the time we got up because it's only open 9am until 1pm and then shut for rest of day and night, there's a laundry next to the shop which you need tokens for, the swimming pool were too cold to go in but they have an indoor swimming pool outside close to the swimming pool so we went in that a few times. They also have their own restaurant and bar which is quite costly and the bar staff were rude when we was deciding what drink to get and walked off and carried on talking to another bar member. In the restaurant and bar bit they have tellys which mainly has sports on or music sometimes and got pool table and darts as well. They also have a play area bit for children which also has arcade games, pool tables, machines etc but you have to pay for them to use them. They also have computers with internet access but you also have to pay for them as well. When we came back from a day out, the woman at reception was talking about us in Spanish to a barman who were both staring at us.

So that's all about the Hotel, Benidorm itself is lovely and laidback, wasn't much open due to it being out of season but was nice for the break, the weather was nice most of the time, it was sunny but windy, we also had two days of rain and a day of sun, we eat at a place called Dannys in the new town which do nice chips and also walked to both the Old and New town which didn't take us too long, only problem is the hill going down which leads to them, it's okay to go down but coming up is tiring and takes it out on you.

With us being young, we wanted to meet people our age around the resort but it was just full of old people as well, i've got nothing what so ever against old people but because we were young they was all staring at us, well im 20 and my fiances 19 but anyway.

Overall it was a good, relaxing holiday and I would reccomend benidorm, The hotel is nice but unfortunately some of the staff let it down and the location as well because there's not much to do around it like no bars or cafes.

Stayed there two days, end of november. the hotel is absolutely clean, perfect equipment, spacious apartment, 10 minutes from the beaches. On your way to the beach, you will find many restaurants. Mirador was perfest, even the small street buffets are full of very tasty spacialities. One of the pools was closed because of reconstruction, it was no problem for me.Benidorm itself was so clean, with welcome peple, they also spoke very good english and german. Also the prices for the taxi from the old city centre to the hotel was o.k.

Selected these appartments on other peoples reviews and we wern't dissapointed. They were the best appartments we've ever stayed in and the staff were the most friendly and obliging. The bar was not too expensive,Euro2.40 for lager andEuro1.20 for wine and during happy hour 8.30-10.00 its 2 for the price of one.Next December we're planning on going for 10 weeks.Besides the bus which stops out side the hotel every hour there is a 15 minute bus service frim the bottom of the street.

Having used the Tripadvisor reviews to select this hotel I was optimistic about the place itself but worried about the hill. First things first... the hotel itself. Outward appearance of the hotel is very good and it looks inviting. Reception staff were very helpful but I was taken by surprise when I was asked to cough up 60 euros as a security deposit against breakages and the like. There is a cashpoint in reception which saved me some embarrassment. As it turns out it was pointless paying the deposit in the first place as when I went to check out I was handed back my money without anybody even looking at the apartment.

The apartment itself was very pleasant but faced the rear and looked out onto the street. We could have changed to a pool view but as the pool was closed and undergoing renovation we didn't bother. The street itself is very quiet so the apartment location wasn't a problem. The apartment is very spacious and is equipped with all that you need. You can't have a double bed though as they only have singles and the mattresses are incredibly hard. After the first night of tossing and turning we used the sofa beds for the rest of our stay.

The rest of the hotel is very spic and span, if a little sterile. Happy hour in the bar from 8.30 until 10.

Now the hill. It is not half as bad as a lot of people have said. It took 10 minutes to get from the hotel to Poniente Beach and only slightly longer to get back. Once you get to the beach turn left and 5 minutes later you are in amongts all of the shops, cafes etc in the old town.

Benidorm itself is very pleasant with 2 beautiful beaches and loads of little bars and restaurants. I would recommend the El Mirador restaurant which is at the end of Poniente Beach towards the old town. 2 starters, 2 main courses, bottle of red wine, coffees and brandy for 45 euros. You can of course get cheaper but this was all cooked to order and served by very pleasant and attentive staff.
