“The best view ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Up hill, I went at night with a friend of mine, I had the great suprise to discover Benidorm in its beautiful lights and nice buildings. The corner is quit except for some people who had a bad experience with people hanging out there for specific reasons but overall, it's totally worth it AT NIGHT.

“Tiring but rewarding”

Probably best advised not to walk up here during the hottest part of the day as it's a right old trek along the winding roads up to the top, but the views from there are spectacular. Easy enough to find your way, would help if it was signposted from the town though.

“Good walk!”

Had a wonder up here on the last day of our week away, excellent scenery and it's free! Some of the houses on the hill side are amazing! Abit sad to see the local council have made relatives take remembrance plaques etc down from the cross, looks a mess now!
Road 90% of the way and a little rough terrain to the cross, wouldn't mind following the other paths up the larger hills next time if I have more time!

“amazing”

Pretty straightforward route to the top, since you can see it from town literally walk toward it, road winds up hill next to the sea, lovely views all the way up. Took about an hour to get up (stopping for photos etc..) Defiantly worth the climb. We went on a misty day and climbed up through the mist to beautiful sunshine! On the way down you pass a bar/ cafe Meritas. Worth a stop off, Really friendly staff and good cheap food and drink :)

“Best view of Benidoem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

What a fabulous view! You can see the whole of Benidorm bay laid out before you and the Costa Blanca mountains as a backdrop. The cross itself is made of steel and concrete about 50ft high with mementos and tributes to the deceased or missing scattered around or attached to the lower parts, in itself nothing really special and quite untidy BUT..... what a fabulous view! Well worth a visit but unless you're a fit and healthy able bodied person do yourself a favor and get a taxi up to the top from town, it only cost us 10€ from the other side of the old town. Once out of the taxi the last 100 meters or so are over rough ground and up some some quite steep steps, if you can't manage the climb then the view from here is still quite spectacular.
Take water and anything else you're likely to want with you as there's nothing up there or on the walk back until you get into town.
The walk back to the start of Levante beach takes you about an hour or so, it might be quicker if you don't keep stopping to take photo's and admire the view which changes each time you round another corner. The view back up and the site of some really exclusive looking villas are almost as spectacular as the view down from the top.
If you're in an exploring mood, walk down to town, get the number 2 bus from town and get off at La Cala beach, walk up the hill to the right and you can see Benidorm from the other end of the bay. What a way to spend a day! We'd do this again next time we're in Benidorm,
