Paid €97 deposit for the Benibike in September but it never turned up. Apparently they went bust in July but they are still accepting booking via their website. Emails and phone calls ignored. Avoid at all costs!!

I booked and paid the deposit of euros 97.50 for this bike for my Daughters Hen Do in October, 2013.
I received a reminder on the morning of the planned trip, got to the meeting point where there was no bike.
According to the local bar owners and tourist office this bike has'nt been seen in months and is in a garage going rusty.
I tried numerous times on the day to ring their number and have emailed them on several occasions, but no one answers.
I have lost my deposit so suggest anyone thinking of booking this DON'T

Booked this for 10 of us on a weekend trip. Did the booking online and paid 50% deposit, all okay.

Arrived at the meeting point 15 mins early to meet with the driver and the bus, however nobody turned up until 15:20 and we were starting to panic a little. You are walked to the bus across the road which is locked and away and then off you go, seats for 6 cyclists and plenty of spare seats for the lazy ones !

First stop is at the Grill House on the main avenue, no waiter service because you on the tour so you have to queue at the bar, staff here were pretty unfriendly and there's no leeway on what you can have to drink it's lager, lager or lager ! OR you can swap for a half pint of cider instead. It's also a little difficult to liaise with the driver as his English is not very good to be honest. He will jivvy you up when it's time to move on to keep to the 90 min trip. The second stop is down on the seafront at Far West Bar just past Tiki Beach (mayhem!!!!) In this bar we didn't get what we were sold, half pints ONLY, we disputed this with the waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders, when we collared the Benibike driver he too just shrugged his shoulders and said "sorry this is new bar on the tour, nothing I can do" !! Well someone should be changing the advertised drinks on the Beni website or they should change bar stop or re-negotiating the deal............we weren't very happy.

Last stop was the Lazy Cow bar at the far end of the beach, staff were much friendlier here and we got our pint of lager, but no option at all to change the drink choice, but they did allow us to swap several pints for a jug of Sangria, it's worth noting they also give you a free jug between you all.

The trip lasts the full 90 mins and then you take the bike back to it's car park at the designated time. All in all we had a brilliant time on it, music pumping out from the bike, singing and bell ringing and really good craic. But some issues need sorting as I'm certain a bike full of thirsty blokes wouldn't be as accepting as us girls to only get 2 pints as oppose to the advertised 3 ! Plus there's no actual drink allowed on the bike itself despite what the advertised pics on the website and around Benidorm show, that might be a disappointment to some people booking if they're expecting a beer on board

Also just as an aside, there's a chance your booking could be altered/cancelled. I received a text from Beninbike the day after our tour advising they couldn't take a booking that afternoon at 3pm........and asking for it to be changed to the following day. Obviously this wasn't meant for me but for someone else who'd booked, could be awkward given that many people fly home on Sundays !
