Given the price we paid (not a lot) for an all inclusive stay here I was apprehensive! However this is a clean friendly hotel smack in the middle of Benidorm 50 meters from the beach with friendly staff and pretty decent food. Pool on the roof was chilly but sunny. What more do you want? I'd happily stay again.

Booked an all inclusive 3 night stay for a birthday weekend and thought we had got a bargain. However the food was absolutely awful. I have read many reviews in the past on TripAdvisor about poor hotel food and always thought they just need to be a bit more adventurous and open their mind to more continental cuisine. I am sorry to say that the only edible thing on the buffet was chips - how awful! There was no atmosphere in any part of the hotel so even taking advantage of the all inclusive drinks was painful and felt like you were sat in a railway station waiting room. Now I wasn't expecting a full entertainments programme but somewhere pleasant to have a drink with friends would have been lovely.
This meant we ate out and drank out of the hotel making an inexpensive weekend away a very expensive one.

We stayed at the Voramar from Christmas eve for 5 nights. My daughter was struggling with her suitcase up the stairs and the porter came out straight away to take the case from her. The man on the desk was pleasant. Our room was lovely, clean and tidy and the cleaners came in daily and on Christmas morning we tried to stop them as there were presents everywhere. The food was lovely, all typically Spanish but then it is a Spanish hotel in SPAIN. There was always plenty to chose from and always something for the English such as chicken nuggets, burgers, chips. Half way through our holiday they did start writing what the food was in English and in Spanish. All the staff were very pleasant and we had a lovely time and would certainly return there. I cant think of anywhere else you could get all that food and drink for the money that we paid.
Sadly some british customers are extremely rude and embarrassing and if I was spoken to like they spoke to some of the waiters then I wouldn't have helped them either. If you are polite to the staff then they are polite and helpful back.

We stayed here over the Christmas period on an 'all inclusive' basis.

The hotel is typically Spanish but has some British guests. It needs to address the needs of its diverse customer base more, rather than just concentrating on its Spanish clientelle. We paid for 'three star accommodation' but we felt this hotel fell well short of it's 'three star' grading.

We found the staff unfriendly and disinterested. Upon checking in, the receptionist was distant without any greeting or any other comment. When we checked out, it was the same receptionist and there was no comment on our stay or anything else. Our door card was taken off us and a rubber was used to remove our name from a list. The only friendly member of staff was the young lady who was on duty to the door of the restaurant. She was friendly, polite and welcoming.

The food was typically spanish but there was always 'chips' available. I can say that we didn't starve but we ate varing concoctions at each meal time. Sometimes we didn't recognise what we were eating!

The hotel decor is dated and in need of updating/redecoration. Our room was basic and the bathroom tiling was loose and needed grouting. The handbasin was also loose from the wall.

The licenced bar is also open to the public, which was interesting being able to mix with the locals.

Whilst ideally located in the centre of the old town and within minutes of Poniente beach, in our opinion the hotel needs to 'up its game'.

We wouldn't return.

my sister and sister in law arrived at this hotel. at midnight,on the 23rd of dec 2013.looking forward to a good xmas and new year in benidorm,,the transfer bus. booked by sunmaster, for this hotel. put us out 500 meters up the road as there is no parking erea outside the hotel. except for taxies/it is on a incline.we had to drag our cases down to the hotel. after asking a few people where it was.when we got there.steep stairs to the reception,no way of getting the cases up the stairs. we went inside, and there was 2 people on the reception, and we had to ask for assistance ,they didn't seem to pleased. when we finally booked in, we were shown to a room, for 2 people, with a camp bed put in at the bottom of the other 2 beds
. we opened the bathroom door, and the smell from the drains was horrendous. we said we coud,nt sleep in the room with that smell.we were told all the other rooms were booked. so we had no option,
the veiw from our room was as bad as it gets, a dilapidated building, with a noisy bar below it.we tried to make the best of a bad job. until we got to the breakfast room.in the morning,WELL !!!! salad.fried eggs that seemed to have been there for 2 days..all i can say is the food for the whole 10 days was as bad as it gets. we eat out for the 10 days we were there.no one in the hotel spoke english.and only wanted to know you if you was spanish. the sitting area was like a old peoples reception room. no television, and a lot of old spanish people sitting looking at each other. all they was short of was carers.
no internet in the rooms..you had to sit in the reception,.and a lot of the time it was switched off.the tv in the rooms, had 4 channels all spanish
they had a bar down stairs that was full of local spanish, when a english person walked in, it was as if you should,nt be there
BENIDORM itself was awesome. the new town was excellent. and i will go there again.the cimbel hotel. the marina hotel/ more expensive but we had some brilliant nights in them shows, food, second to none
i will never,,,,never... stay at the voramar hotel again, if i was given it free
xmas day !!!! lamb stew on the bone. wit mash that looked like rice pudding, swimming in red greasy liquid

Room Tip: only the spanish get the good rooms. facing the sea

My wife and I stayed at the Voramar Hotel over Christmas, It is located close to the heart of Old Benidorm and is a SPANISH hotel and not for someone looking for roast beef and Yorkshire pud. Local parking is at a premium and can cost up to 20 euro a day. The staff are polite and efficient. The only bar is a typical Spanish bar (noisy) but there is lounge area up one flight of stairs. Wifi reception is poor in this area but very good in the bar but I don't think noise canceling earphones will compensate for the noise. The rooms are good but the walls are thin and snoring and the TV can be heard from both sides. Overall opinion it is a lovely Spanish hotel and got more then I paid for and yes we would stay the there again

The Voramar was a lovely, clean, homely hotel located in the heart of the old town of Benidorm. just 2 minutes from the pleasant Dove Park, we're the Spanish take there morning stroll, down to the beautiful Poniente Beach. The rooms are basic, clean, and comfortable, and the public areas are charming. The staff, Manuela greets you at the restaurant, Khalid the charming waiter, Augustin on reception were what makes the hotel what it is. Do not come here if you want bingo, English entertainment, and a sing along. if you want quiet, relaxed, Spanish charm then do. Thank you for a lovely Christmas holiday, even though we had no Father Christmas, Turkey, or mince pies!

Room Tip: Avoid non balcony rooms in the interior of the hotel, poor view, and next too a very lounge chimney...
