when the thomson bus dropped us off outside i did think oh gosh what have we booked as the whole front of the building is red and not verry attractive.we walked down the path into reception and inside was beautiful. as you walk in there is marbel floor and chandeliers some green spinny chairs and some brown big ones it looks very impresive! then at the end there is a reception desk. the reception people were friendly and very helpfull. we got the card for the room and went on the way to the lifts you go past a door for entertainment and dinner and first impresions were very good they looked clean and lovely!!

when we got to our room we opend the door and was very impressed the bathroom it lovely and clean the toilet is placed a bit randomly as the sink overlaps so you do have to sit sideways but that wasnt a problem :') the bedroom was lovely a big wardorobe, telly and air con was free but you had to bay 5euros for the controll but you got that back. the balcony has 2 seats and a drying rack and a good view of the pool its lovely at night to watch entertainment and its a good atmospher. the rooms are cleaned every single day.

if you go full board like we did you will have breakfast from 8am-10am
lunch 1pm-3pm
tea 7:30pm-9:30pm

the food is wonderfull and me and my family usually found ourselfs going in for seconds :) the variety is amazing and a different theme every day e.g gala night where they put a massive punch bowl out and give every one a free drink of that it was lovely and the kids get a fruity drink, one night they had 3massive salmons, another they had hundreds of prawns and set them out in a verry impressive way, they had ham and calved it right infront of you. they also do the best chips i have tasted and potato cubes and onion rings but these are only on certain nights you wont ever have the same thing 2night in a row you can tell they go to lots of trouble to provide the best. the resturant staff were amazing working long hours and keeping happy and chatty. the waitress even knew what we drank so every night we hade it placed on our table. when you pay the people are lovely always making convo with everyone and having a laugh :)

the entertainment is really good there was a magician singer dancers illusionists balance act parrot shows we stayed for two weeks ano only once was the entertainment same:)

the hotell is a variety of familys with children young couples teen young boys in groups and afew old people but when we went the majority of people were young we were shocked as we were expecting loads of old people it was a very plesant suprise:)

the location was amazing 5min walk to the beach and 20min to the shops we loved it and i think as long as you go to the hotell with a open mind you will love it i really dont know where the bad reviews are coming from we had a wonderfull time and will deffo be going again !!

stayed at the benilux park hotel for 2 weeks in july 3 adults 3 children first time in the old town of benidorm hotel was great, checkin very quick food was great what ever i had tasted very nice (cooked properly no bad tummy ) coffes, teas, juices ect where free at breackfeast but lunch and supper you have to pay. bar area very nice only 1 euro 50 for half a beer also a cheap supermarket at top of road staff dont mind if you bring your own drinks to pool area. ok there was a lot of old people but also young people my son and daugther made lots of freinds. kids activerties where great the swimming pool area and gardens where loverley. there was a park next to the childrens pool that was great the only thing i didnt like a bout it was the concret floor very dangerous if your child falls. rooms where fresh clean and tided every day. went out every night so didnt see the hotel evening entertainment. only 20 min work to the rincon loved the walk so much to see and do in benidorm for young and old very beautyfull place youll never get board lots of clean beacheswith lots going on. its def not like blackpool like some people say 100 times better. benidorm is one of the best holidays ive been on you wont be let down much better than turkey . absolut loved it all had good time def going back

just returned from the benilux park and after reading reviews we were very prepared for what to expect. the hotel had mainly german spanish guests so i dont understand why first choice would send us there without any warning of this. there was alot of oaps some were friendly and some wasnt so!!

food wasnt to our taste so we ate out everynight breakfast was nice and salads were nice but other than that we ate out the whole week. but the other guests seemed to love it and would que up 20mins b4 each meal...

pool was far to deep 75% of the pool was over my head so you couldnt just laze around in the pool you had to swim to stay alive, my 4 year old was fine though as he had armbands had he been able to swim i wouldve been terrified as the pool was 9ft.
pool area was nice but very small and people would que up half hour b4 the doors opened to get the beta beds and beta spots as half the pool is covered with trees so doesnt get alot of sun after 12 o clock so unless your prepared to get up extra early to get these spots you will end up in the shade like we did 4 the whole week.

rooms were really nice small but clean and tidy and aircon was a must have in july aug and was only 5 euro.

benilux is in the old town and not much happens here, it cost 160 euro on the bus or 8 euro in a taxi to get 2 the square( new town) where everything happens. loads of bars clubs places too eat ect. if you are taking children i would recommend going to the red lion pub they do kids entertainment until 10 and my little 1 loved it and wanted to go everynight after 10 sticky vicky was there which was a really interesting show kids cant go in then though.

over all we loved benidorm and i will be returning but i would stay in the new town and hopefully in a hotel where we could speak to other guests!!!

I stayed at the Benilux hotel for two weeks with my boyfriend. The moment we got there we thought the hotel looked nice and posh from the outside, but when we walked in the woman on reception was so rude and ignorant and made us feel very unwelcome. The bedroom was quite nice and we had a high floor so we had a nice view, but i would not recommend this hotel to anybody under the age of 70! The majority of guests were old spanish people and they were so rude and stared at us every time we walked past. MOST of the staff were very unwelcoming, especially the restaurant staff.
The food was extremely poor; always cold and the same meals every day (probably left over from the day before...) and on the third day of us staying there we saw a MOUSE run across the floor in the restaurant. Another couple we spoke to said they had seen mice on three occasions while staying at the hotel. We refused to eat any more of our meals and therefore spent most of our spending money on eating out. The worst thing about it was that the staff made to attempt to do anything about the mouse, and said that it had probably just come from the outside, and the rude woman on reception just laughed and asked what we wanted her to do about it???
However, the location is very nice, the beach in the old town is nice n quiet, and the main centre of Benidorm is only a 20 minute walk away so you can still enjoy the nightlife =D
My advice is to definatley visit Benidorm but DO NOT stay at the Benilux Park Hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor because they have the best views

We stayed from 21/6 to 5/7

The date we arrived I would say 80% plus of the residents were over 65,
so more like a holiday in a retirement home. Don't get me wrong I will be
that age one day (hopefully) but the side effects were:

1) Majority were extremely rude and had no concept of a queue
2) Complained of children playing near the pool
3) Started queuing at least 15 minutes before each meal time to be "first"
4) Started queuing at 8.30, 30 minutes before pool was open to secure best seats
5) Rampaged into the bar area to secure best seats ahead of all shows, and then sat there all night spending no money

You get the pictue by now

to be fair, the age profile got much much beter as the holiday progressed, we later found out that Spain (& France ?) give
all their pensioners a weeks free holiday - and this is one of their favourite destinations

ADVICE - DO NOT GO TPO THIS HOTEL IN JUNE -

What about the Hotel in general?

Pool was small (20M) and limited area for seating / loungers (see picture) but was cleaned every day, my daughter
ended up going to A&E for an ear infection, along with several others - suspect was the pool.

Rooms were average size, air con was good 5 Euro returnable deposit for remote, nice balconey and shower over bath etc..

No issues with the cleanliness of the rooms - were very good -

Hotel staff in general were very approachable and helpful - no issues -

Food was always available, warm and varied but I would describe it as the sort of food we would cook at home ie., nothing
too fancy eg., Breakfast was always eggs/bacon/tomatoes/beans/sausage/cold meats/cereals/fruit etc... By day 11 we got fed up and started eating out for
variety sake, example, we had a superb Chinese Meal out at lunch time at the
HONG KONG in Denia, total cost 12.75 inc drinks.

Night time entertainment was pityful, mainly consisting of spanish dancers and OAP music, we gave up quite early on and
headed down to the many bars / cafe's / clubs near the beach. Did not get any better at the holiday progressed. Lots of inexpensive places
to go - highly recommend VINCENTS, Kate's Cafe, Belgium Bar opposite Hotel Entrance, amongst others.

TOP TIP - take number 12 bus to town, 1.30 each way stops outside of hotel on drops off at shop at top of road on way back. Good regular service, better then 8 euro for a Taxi

Bar shut at 00.30hrs promptly - bit early for a hotel, typical prices were large beer 2.50, Coke 1.50, Bottle of Wine with Meal 5.50, water 1.30

Packed lunches were available by prior arrangement with reception

Wifi was FREE and worked well in the bar area

Car Parking, 12 Euro's a day extra

I would advise steer clear of the Thomson Trips, very expensive. Local buses are great value - 1.30 the number 12 to Benidorm strip ( where it all happens )

Only Major Complaint - When we booked with THOMSON we booked Full Board Plus - which included wine and beers with meals. When
we arrived the Hotel denied all knowledge of this and so did the Thomson Courier. We did not have any hard evidence
with us so have had to pay up 8 Euros x Twice Daily x 14 days = 224 Euro's. I emailed Thomson's 24hr help line for an
explantion, still waiting for a response. I will be taking this up with Thomson on my return needless to say I won't be booking with them again. We were not the only people with this complaint.

In my view Thomson are rip off merchants

Would we go back?

Probably not, based mainly on evening entertainment & drinks rip off

Upon arrival Benilux Park Hotel exceeded my expectations and I was very impressed with the quick service that we recieved from the reception staff. Our room was standard but very clean and comfortable. The food was also standard and there wasn't a lot of variety to choose from. Not much in the way of daytime activities for children or adults and the pool was very deep which almost made half of it unusable for someone like myself with a small child. Evening entertainment wasn't brilliant but catered to the taste of the older guests who were mostly over 65. I would personally say that for us as a young family we felt very out of place and did not feel that the hotel was very child friendly although the hotel staff were. Had I have known about this website before then we most probably wouldn't have chosen this hotel to stay in. Apart from this the hotel is only a short walk away from the beach which is a plus. Definitely a must for over 65's and German but anyone other than that should stay clear.
