“Good Spanish Hotel Recommended to British Families”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Having been to Benidorm last July as a couple we returned with my partners 2 Daughters aged 12 and 14 in May school holidays and wanted to stay near the Old Town.
We all thought the hotel was well located to get to the beach ( 2-3 minutes walk)and to the Old Town (7-8 minutes walk). We were in the minority as far as nationalities go as hotel attracts mainly older Spanish, French and Italian guests but we found this a bonus as it gave the hotel a foreign flavour which we liked. it also meant that there were plenty of unused sunbeds to have every day. If we had wanted a predominantly "British" hotel we would have stayed in the New Town or gone to Devon.
We stayed Full board although we did eat out a couple of times during the week and we found the food to be of a good standard and prepared for multi nationalities. The restaurant does get busy but we didn't have any major problems finding a table. The staff are very helpful and polite and engage in conversation at meal times even when they are rushed off their feet.
The girls are fussy eaters but they had no problems choosing their meals each day, in fact they ate stuff that they would never have dreamed of eating at home.
The outside pool is of a decent size with a small toddler pool.
The hotel is very clean and has 3 lifts to cater for 8 floors, all rooms overlook the pool area.
The hotel is in a quiet area and so no problems of noise at night. The entertainment in the hotel was in Spanish but this didn't bother us as we ventured out every night.
We all really enjoyed our stay at the Benilux.
We all agreed that if we returned in the future to Benidorm we would have no hesitation of staying as the Benilux Park Hotel.

JUst come back from this hotel it's clean gave us a dated room as the courtesy room was well modern.. Food was quite bland the Spanish German and Dutch guests are very ignorant and are like vultures. This hotel is quite abit away from the old and new part of benidorm but there are plenty of bars both Spanish and English, about a 3 minute walk to a lovely long beach. Had to pay for air conditioning, fridge and telly in this day and age this should be standard. Definitely wouldn't return to this hotel but would go to Benidorm again .

Room Tip: Lovely lady on receptionist Letetica really helpful a credit to the hotel.

As a single traveller expected to get the normal room by the lift shaft but this was different, was first room, 416, as you left the lift but really quiet. Will say that the Spanish staff in a morning cleaning round the pool could be a tad noisy. Room was good as it was a double bed, balcony went into the corner of the building so had a spot to sit where couldn't be seen by everywhere else. Bathroom was ok, the toilet under the sink was quite handy after a lot of walking and needing a little helping hand to get up but rest on sink don't pull as it will come away from wall lol. I had to get the room with the shower that not only washed me but also the rest of the bathroom, tried to turn the power shower down but it made the situation worse so sorted it by putting a flannel over the head which reduced the output over the rest of the room. didn't report it as noticed this was in a previous review and thought if it hadn't been sorted then doubt it would be sorted whilst I was there and it wasn't a big problem. Everywhere was clean though did notice toward the end of the week that the floor was sandy so could have perhaps done with a wipe over. You have to rent the remote otherwise you cant use TV but I didnt bother, apparently the same for a fridge and of course a safe 15 euros but you got 5 back when key was handed in though do take a torch as mine was in bottom of wardrobe on its back and sometimes couldn't find things in it. The staff are fine, always said hello and yes it is Spanish orientated and yes the entertainment does get a little boring after 6 nights of line dancing, not sure what the final dance was but looked like she (the very quick talking Spanish compere) was sawing her arm off after telling everyone where to go - my interpretation. The food was good, I was full board had plenty of selection, especially fish and as its been said before you get what you pay for. The pool is clean and the area is quite a little sun trap so I found when it was really warm that the beach with a breeze was best but its individual taste. All in all I had a great holiday

Room Tip: if you find the electricity isn't working try the switches outside bathroom, I thought all mine...

Just returned from long weekend at Benilux Park (4 adults). Good location in Old Town Benidorm so away from the madness, but a nice walk down if you want it. Nice stroll to local eateries and tapas bars, predominently Spanish visitors (which we like). Hotel clean and comfortable, although the view just looks out onto other hotels, no real views. Stayed Half Board and was allowed to use the option at lunch time, so as to be able to go out in the evening. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend to friends and family.

Just come back from Benilux Park Hotel in the old town of benidorm. The food is absolutely rubbish, we had to eat out everyday. The spanish are like Vultures, no entertainment for the english and all old spanish people, if you're not spanish then you don't fit in. Not Recommended for the brits. Just don't go, you will be disappointed.

Having been there before and read all the most recent reviews, my expectations were not high. However, very little notice and the unthinkable alternatives, made this a reasonable choice.

To be fair, at this price, one shouldn't expect a 5 star hotel.

All considering, I thought the food was ok (breakfast in fact, was very good). Choice of Lunch and Evening Meal were a little bit limited but ok. The lounge area is very good and service is fine.

It is true that the average age of visitors is higher than most hotels, and it is also true that only 10% are English. This did not present any problems for us.

The hotel does let itself down by letting the rooms fall into disrepair. In our room, the handle on the balcony door was hanging off. An electric socket in the bathroom and one in the bedroom were hanging out of the wall. You have to pay (apparently) extra at reception to make the air conditioning and TV work.

We found all the staff to be absolutely fine, although the night receptionist does not speak English.

When booking this hotel, one should consider that it is on the more residential side of town and might not suit younger clients or clients with children.

We recently went on a couples weekend to Benidorm. The hotel was great for what we paid. Location was good for both old and new town. Food at the hotel was acceptable but nothing to shout about. Some of the rooms have been recently upgraded, which are nice and comfortable, All in all a great bargain.
