Enjoyed the dove gardens the most. Didn't enjoy the walk back to Levante. Has some lovely shops in the cobbles streets.

Went to Benidorm for a nosey as we were staying in Altea Fortunately!
The front was madness with a capital M.
The Bars and promenade full of drunken revellersseemingly having a good time ,that part was not for us my other half was having a panic attack!
however we went into the old town which was great full of lovely lively Tapas bars ,higgeldy piggeldy streets bustling with people of all ages ,had an amazing time here with some good food and drink . well worth the visit.

Just love the Old Town. We got a taxi from the other end of Levante as my mum has difficulty walking. Was so glad we did and managed to see the sunset on the Balcon and there was even a man playing his guitar which added to the ambience. There had been some kind of fiesta with horses and flamenco dancers which we just got the end of and the whole town was very busy and had a great atmosphere. Loads of tapas bars and coffee shops, restaurants etc and lovely shops. You knew you were in Spain here! Would love to spend some more time visiting the Old Town. Since the last time I was there it also looked like some new boutique hotels have opened up near the old Church which although they are modern doesn't take the feel away from the town. A great mixture of old and new styles but with the atmosphere of the Spaniards out socialising and enjoying the warm nights.
