“Good food, 2 minutes from the centre of the old town.”
Reviewed 30 October 2011

Wasn't sure when booking this hotel as it was a 2 star but after checking the reviews thought we would give it a go. The hotel is small and is situated on a busy side road a stones throw from the centre of the old town. The rooms are basic but very clean. We thought the food was good but some guests complained that there wasn't anything suitable for children. The staff were very friendly except for one of the bar staff who was quite miserable. A hotel receptionist very kindly lent me her own umbrella when it was raining which I thought was a lovely touch. The hotel guests were mainly elderly and Spanish. We don't have anything against elderly Spanish people as some of them were friendly. However, it did make us feel old before our time and it would have been nice to have met other British people of a similar age to ourselves. We were staying all inclusive and would have preferred to stay in the hotel until late evening to make the most of the all inclusive bar before going out. However, we found the bar boring and the little entertainment that we saw wasn't to our liking. Therefore we decided to go out rather than enduring elderly people line dancing. In fairness we honestly cannot comment on all of the entertainment. The television in the lounge and in the room was all in spanish. All in all we feel that this hotel is a good 2 star. It is clean with good food and a 2 minute walk from the centre of the old town. It is suitable for elderly guests.

A group of 12 went here on the weekend of 14th October 2011. Although the rooms might be a bit out dated. The hotel was great. The food was great and different every day. Breakfast was also great and was cooked brilliant. We went all inclusive for the weekend and was well worth it!!! The bar tenders don't measure their drinks. This shouldn't be a 2 star. The food was better than some of the 4 star we have been in. and the hotel was very, very clean. We was all worried with it being a 2 star but was all supprised to find how good it was. The staff was very friendly and couldn't do enough. We all know that Benidorm is high on the elderly, and we was the youngest in the hotel, but they seem to understand that we are there for the weekend and up for a laugh. A great hotel for everybody, that good we are even going back with the children next year.

Room Tip: go all inculusive as it was well worth it

We cannot fault anything about this hotel. Although we were only there for a few days the quality of service was way beyond some 5 star hotels. Looking at the hotel pictures the bowling green has been taken over by gazebos with sunbeds and perhaps they are uprooted if the bowling green is needed.
Our bedroom overlooked the back of the hotel which in Benidorm, unless you had a sea view room , invariably meant looking at another skyscraper, then lo and behold on Monday morning at 9am loads of spanish children appeared pulling their hostess cases - we were next door to one of the local schools!!! It didn't affect us but helped us see the spanish culture of the old town.
Relaxed, peaceful and quiet but only quarter of a hours walk to the bars of the new town.

Large outdoor pool with safe childrens playground area alongside. Small lawn,(yes it's real grass) for sunbathing, half width astro turf bowling green outside, where you can also play skittles.
Excellent service from all staff, Shame Paco the manager retired this Feb.he was a real gem. Jason the 'animator' is brilliant at getting everyone to mix and join in the varied activities on offer. The bedrooms are well equipped, even bathrobes and slippers are provided!
Excellent food, good selection and plenty of it.
Live entertainment most nights.
The rooftop sun terrace has ample sunbeds AND a 6 person jacuzzi with shower, and great views over the rooftops of the old town
All this from a small TWO STAR 90 bedroomed hotel, right on the edge of the old town and 4-5 min. walk to the beachl.
NEED I SAY MORE!!!

Just returned from a four night stay with friends. this hotel offers excellent value for its rating of 2 star i have stayed in much worse 4 star hotels. The location is just off the old town and a short stroll to the beach and the hustle and bustle of the old town. The reception staff were excellent and greeted me by name as I came to check in which was very swift and efficient. The hotel was fully booked but did not seem crowded in the public areas I did not come across any other English people staying in the hotel (that's not such a bad thing). The food was buffet style in the restaurant and half board did seem a popular choice the food was adequate, fresh and plentiful at whatever time you chose to visit during meal times. A special mention for Roberto the barman top man, always willing to have a laugh and share a joke even at busy times a real breath of fresh air and a credit to the hotel.

As for Benidorm, its got something for everyone fabulous clean beaches the charm of the old town to the madness of the bars in the square and good value for money. enough said.

Be advised that in February most of the residents were elderly on all-inclusive holiday packages. The hotel itself is equally elderly and despite some modifications still reflects this in certain aspects. There is a good standard of service from the hard-working staff. Food is buffet service and rated by me as average to poor. The double bed was two singles of differing heights pushed together! The room was warm, very poorly lit with a 14" portable TV without remote. The entertainment is dire and note that the rooftop jacuzzi is not heated!! Good central location and good value for our half board however we have been to better in Benidorm. Tapas alley just down the road in old Benidorm is a must do.

Definately no more than a 2 star hotel.Very clean and basic accomodation.Only wanted somewhere to sleep for a couple of nights, and in that respect it served its purpose.I may have been unlucky with the food, because reading other reviews, people seemed to like it,however i thought it was average to say the least. On a more positive side, the staff were very good and enthusiastic.
Of all the hotels i have booked through reading reviews from Trip advisor, this is the most disappointing. I must stress however,it is only a 2star and having normally booked 4 star hotels through reader reviews on trip advisor maybe i am a bit too critical.
