“SERIOUSLY FOLKS THIS IS AMAZING VALUE FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY...”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

My partner and I and our 4year old little girl and 14 year old son stayed here from 12th July to the 27th. We arrived at 2.30am so were all pretty tired, we were checked in and shown to our room within 10mins maximum..on arrival to our room my partner was ready to start moaning about size of room as we had 4 single beds in room but I talked him into going to bed n see what things were like when we woke up. We went for breakfast and to be honest it was well above our expectations. We were fortunate to be on 1st floor with a pool view which was a huge bonus. All staff were second to none, very friendly and helpful. We stayed her 14 days and can say we all had decent food for every meal, plenty of choice for a small hotel. If u want 5* then ye pay 5* prices. This was a cheap last min get away for us and it was one of the best holidays we have ever had. It was 5mins walk from beach and very central between old town and new town. We never had to que for drinks and bar staff were amazing. The drinks were not the usual watered down rubbish ye get which amazed us for a 2* . At meal times if you wanted wine they give you a full bottle not just a glass and it was very nice. We never witnessed any stag/hen parties in fact the hotel was a very quiet family orientated hotel. Beds were very comfortable and the whole place was spotlessly clean however if we return we will take 2 rooms as like already said the room was cramped with 4 beds in 1 room. Every single member of staff went out of their way to help to us from bar staff to resteraunt staff reception staff room cleaners entertainment staff even the maintainance guy. The professional shows that were on in hotel twice weekly were fantastic. There is a shop directly opposite hotel entrance which was open 24hours which we found useful at times. All in all this was a fantastic holiday for very little money and we will return. 6 weeks previous to this my partner and I stayed in a very high class 4* hotel in benidorm and there was very little difference to this hotel. We met amazing friends both Spanish and English and our kids loved it here. So stop listening to the folk who call this hotel bad as it's worth far more than 2* and best value for money we have ever had and we travel lots, we have had around 15 holidays in last 4 years and this was one of the most enjoyable..

just returned from the vista ora, decent enough hotel, staff nice enough,we wernt informed about the aircon on arrival and suffered in silence until we mentioned it to reception,it is included and a godsend ..quiet for this time of year I thought .drink was ok,and you can purchase the real stuff for 50% off ,but the selection for the food was on the small side, but was decent enough ,I probably lived on the pasta ,children I think would be stuck, but there was always chips.and the snack bar.wouldn't of gone allinclusive if I had known,.have to pay for wifi 5 a day or 15 for week, 10 mins walk downhill to beach ,loads of shops .long walk to new end with all the main bars and that comes with the hassle, but got quite a few free cocktails lol, havnt been to Benidorm for about 10years ,used to be drag artists in most bars on front beach now its scantily clad girl and boy dancers, but still can get the euro pint in some places.

.....That pretty much sums it up.

The hotel is clean and tidy. The food, whilst basic, is acceptable although there are so many other places in Benidorm to eat that really only the drink makes all inclusive a sensible choice. Premium alcohol is not included in the all inclusive but there is a concession which is more than alot of other hotels offer.

The only pool is small but not overcrowded. The advertised solarium/jacuzzi was unavailable, ive no idea if that is short, mid or long term.

The room was small with twin beds pushed together. It was cleaned daily and towels changed as and when requested. The aircon was good but noisy, this was reported but not rectified as we werent in the room when the handy man called.

There was a courtesy room and baggage storage after check out and they didnt cut off the all inclusive for the 4 hours we were there after checking out at 12 noon.

Benidorm itself was shock to the senses for our party of 11. It seems the day gets started at 10pm. The Vista Oro is located right on the edge of 'the new town' and the opposite end to 'the strip'. Its still busy and noisy but not intimadating.

hotel very clean, glad that only two of us was in a room as they are tiny, most of staff are friendly the entertainment is just really for children the girl that did the entertainment was lovely the food not to bad the only down fall was we thought that the bar for all inclusive was till midnight when we got there it stated 11.30 twice we got to bar just after 11 and was told we had to pay for our drinks we were on holiday so what the hell we paid for our drinks the last night we were there got to bar at 10.45 and again had to pay for our drinks the bar manager was very rude and nasty to a couple who was at the bar with he told her to - - - - off you have to pay for your drinks even the night receptionist went to see him but he wouldn't budge so my advice is don't go all inclusive to this hotel not worth it.

Room Tip: ask for pool view

Stayed here for 10 nights at the start of June. Check in was easy and friendly and the room was okay. Not the best view in the world looking onto a school playground and a roof but we wasn't on holiday to sit in the room. As prev reviews suggest hotel had quite a few stag and hen parties over there that seemed to just sit and drink the bar dry but no real problems and being 2 gay men felt completely safe. Location is excellent 5 min to beach and under 10 minutes to the Old Town where the gay bars are. Easy access to the New Town - Drinks were good - full on bar and all staff were very friendly. Food became a bit repetitive and was of an okay standard but like I said remember what u paid to stay here! Definitely would stay here again!!!

We found this hotel to be very friendly, from the reception/restaurant staff, cleaning staff and Beatrice in entertainment. Food plentiful and good selection. Rooms cleaned daily and bedding/towels refreshed regularly. Altho entertainment not for us lots of people did seem to join in. Yes the hotel could do with some modernisation but was situated in good place to walk to the shops and beach and only a Euro 6 ride into the nightlife of town! Would definitely go back there.

My family and I went to this hotel for a week at the beginning of June 2014. We were soon booked in by Frank (Hi Frank) with no hassle what so ever, he let us leave our cases in the left luggage room and directed us into the dining room where we were greeted by Ricardo and staff for some well deserved drinks and food. Once replenished we then headed off to our rooms on the 1st floor and while spotlessly clean oh what a disappointment we felt as when we opened the curtains we were met by a dull orange wall and the flat roof of the kitchen. No view what so ever was in sight, well we thought we hadn't come on holiday to stay in the room so decided to give it a go, the following morning of course we were woken early by the kitchen staff doing their jobs. When we went downstairs ourselves for breakfast I asked if we could have another room. I didn't mind the none view but I did object to being woken up very early. I was very impressed with the response and was told that we would be moved as soon as a room became available, we spent a further two nights in our non view room then was moved into another room at the front of the hotel, well done the Vista Ora. Now to the food, while some of it I didn't try as I'm a very fussy eater ( I eat with my eyes) I ate really well so once again well done the Vista Ora. I can honestly say it was one of the best A/I I have ever stayed in. the dining room staff were excellent at clearing the tables, Now to the entertainment Sorry Vista Ora it was naff. It catered more for the Spanish than for the English etc. they are still locked into the 70s / 80s. The last thing I will criticise is that we booked this hotel on the pretence that it was a family hotel, In the week we were there, there were four different stag/ hen parties and the language was atrocious, Different guests both Spanish English etc were telling them off and to stop it as children were getting upset. If the hotel doesn't address this then I think most families will not go back to it, which is a shame because its lovely situated, very close to the beach and old town and in the centre of a lot of shops. I would like to try this hotel again to see if they take notice of these reviews.

Room Tip: Nowhere in the hotel is quiet. the back rooms get the noise from the kitchens and school, whilst the...
