“Ideal Benidorm Hotel.”
Reviewed 13 February 2013

One week stay first week of Feb with superb weather and temperatures up to 70 F !
I have stayed in several hotels in Benidorm and Madeira Centro is up with the very best.
A spotless and very professionally run hotel in a superb central location for more or less everything in the town.
Staff were superb, esp the Reception team, but also the Restaraunt staff, who were both friendly and efficient.
Only fault I had was some of the food not as hot as I would like it, but the in situ microwave soon sorted that.
Food was lovely and suitably varied. Well done the kitchen staff.
We had a superb 12th floor, sea facing room which was a great place to sit out with a drink and admire the sea view, which went from Levante to Poniente!
It got the sun all day too!
Rooms very clean and cleaned every day. Bathroom has outside window which is great for ventilation and cool breeze into room.
Five lifts so no probs with access.
Taxi and bus ranks right outside hotel for easy travel to other parts of town, etc.
Absolutely no complaints to make about this very good hotel, in fact I complimented it to Reception as I passed them a box of creme eggs when leaving!
That put an extra smile on their faces!
The pool is small and in a tight corner due the city centre location.
Not a prob in Feb, but for me, in summer it would be, as I like to swim plenty.
So. For me, it would be The Melia Hotel in summer, for its fantastic pool, and Madeira Centro during the off season, for its superb location and high standards, though both these hotels are excellent.
Well done all at Madeira Centro Hotel!
We had a lovely time, and it was my wifes' Birthday whilst we were there, so I was very pleased the way it all turned out.

Iv just returned from a four day break with a friend to this fabulous hotel we are in are late 50s and found it to be one of the best.
The only negative I can say is the reception staff are a little off with manners maybe because we where brits.
They certainly favor other nationalities I was kept waiting when the man on reception chose to speak to three other people before me even though I was waiting first in line.
Anyway ever onward we had a room on the 16th floor and it was a very large room two double beds and plenty of hanging space for clothes. Bathroom plenty of space,
The view was amazing looking out to see and plenty of late sun on the balcony.
No tea or coffee facilities so glad we took a travel kettle.

Dining room was spacious with excellent service at dinner and they gave us a bottle of Cava to celebrate my friend’s birthday, I e mailed in advance so if your celebrating this is a good idea as they will maybe treat you to.

Drinks in the hotel where what you would expect for a 4 star hotel 1.80 Euros for a bottle of water at dinner cant quote the wine price as don’t drink it.

Two Bacardi and Cokes where 11 Euros in the hotel bar, but next door to the hotel is a great English bar called the Duke of Wellington Two coffees 2 B&Cs where just 8 euros.

Breakfast was the usual affair continental or full English it would have been nice to have a pot of coffee brought to the table but no such luck all self service.
They did give us a ticket for a free glass of freshly squeezed orange juice which was a nice touch.

The indoor pool is nice but very small, the outdoor pool was not in use but if visiting in summer I would say its very small compared to the size of the hotel. But the beach is only a five min walk away.
Over all I would say a great hotel in Benidorm old town, easy walking distance to both beaches and new town if you want that sort of British food and entertainment, which is not want I want from holiday. I would go back for sure only for a short break, the hotel gets a well deserved 4 stars but as for Benidorm a short break was enough for me.

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor with sea view

Madeira Centro is in a great location, only a 2 minute walk from the seafront and being in new Benidorm there are some great clothes and jewellery shops.
The hotel itself is very clean, the majority of the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and although some don't speak very good English, they do their upmost to help in any request.
The food is lovely with great choice, replenished regularly and kept as warm as possible.
The only thing you may need to request when you arrive would be another pillow, as it is one long pillow for a double bed and can be a little thin.

The only English TV channel wasn't working when we were there but found that if you choose MTV or a film channel and press the blue ear button on the remote control then press the down arrow button, the language changes from Spanish/German to English

Room Tip: We were located on the 16th floor and had great views of the sea.

We stayed at the Hotel Centro Madeira, Benidorm for four nights on 11th January 2013. The hotel is ideally placed a very short stroll from the old town and the beach. It’s an impressive 20 floor blue building which is easy to pick out from the Benidorm skyline. Check in was painless for all in our group of 12 guests, staff were pleasant with adequate English. There are four lifts and one nice scenic lift meaning the wait time is not too long. On the twentieth floor there is a skybar with terrific views across Benidorm day and night and also a ground floor bar.

We had a room with two double beds on the ninth floor with air conditioning and black out curtains. For a resort hotel the room was modern and well equipped with marbled floors, bathroom with bath (and shower over; if a little weak), lovely sea view balcony, minibar, tv and safe (chargeable). All relatively clean and comfortable with maid service every day. There were only news channels in English on TV and no tea/coffee tray but otherwise a very comfortable room. No iron in the room but may have been available if we’d of asked!

The pools are not very big but there is one heated indoor and one outdoor pool with jacuzzi. There is also a sauna and steam room by the indoor pool but unfortunately these are charged at 7 Euros each. There is a basic gym with running machine, elliptical, weights machine etc which is also chargeable. We were offered a 13 Euro deal for all facilities but we did feel a hotel of this standard should be offering these without charge, or at least reducing to a couple of Euros.

Staying on a B&B basis we enjoyed the breakfasts. Hot food most days included omelette, pancake, churro, tomato, beans, streaky bacon, fried egg, boiled egg and hot dog sausage. Cold food included cereal, fresh fruit, continental breakfast with croissants and pastries, yoghurt, meats and cheese. There was toast and rolls, fruit juices, tea, coffee and cava on tap! A single glass of freshly squeezed orange juice was available but regulated to one per person via a voucher system. All was good quality and continually restocked.

For what we paid for an off season break we had a lovely relaxing stay at this hotel as the facilities were all fine and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

the Madeira centro hotel is stuated on the border of Levante beach & Old town 200 meters from the sea. Outside there are several bus routes to ferry you around the area for $1-45 per journey.
rooms are large with 2 double beds and mini bar and free wi-fi . fresh towels daily and very good cleaning servicing. the restaurant is large and food is very good and varied everyday. plenty of choice for even the fussiest diners.there is a lovely piano bar on the rooftop with 3 indoor and 2 outdoor seating areas with magnificent views towards La Cala.there is a heated indoor pool but the outdoor pool is very small fot a hotel with almost 200 rooms.i rate this in the top three 4 star hotels in Benidorm . i have stayed in many hotels here over many years & would say it's one of the best 3 to be found here.i would love to stay here again in future & the only negative is if you have a rental car parking is metered all around the area and the hotels car park quite expensive to use.it's possible to find free parking a ten minute walk away should you require it.i only returned home today and couldn't wait to add this review & hopefully make it easier for anyone considering booking it come to a decision.i am fussy person & my review is honest.

Room Tip: choose high floor if you want the views

My daughter and I have been coming to Madeira Center every year, and sometimes even twice a year since 2007. After trying many other hotels, Madeira Center wins it on location, price, service, quality. The indoor swimming pool was a selling point for me, since my daughter loves to swim, always! Everything is kept clean every day. The restaurant offers great food and so many choices, service is very nice. The guests are a mix of Spanjards and north Europeans. Since most people go to the beach, which is just 5 minutes away, we always have te pool to ourselves :-).The rooms are of good size and offers enough storage. Everything you need is available. The hotel is located right near the old city center (great shopping at Zara), taxi's are waiting right outside to take you to La Marina for example, but you can also take the bus. We love to take walks to the old city center and go to the top mountain church to enjoy the view. On our way we pick up ice cream, and sit at the beach to watch the elderly do their yoga exercises and singing.

This was our 3rd stay over new year with stays at other areas in Spain in between and we were not disappointed hotel was as lovely as we had remembered, rooms spacious warm and clean, still very Spanish as we and another family only English which is how we like it. Food very good with plenty of choice. Cava breakfast every day if you want it. New year eve was lovely fine food and free drinks they also made a special effort to bring in English new year even though we were the minority and the Spanish definitely know how to,party 3.30 am before we got to bed and they were still dancing! The only disappointment was that the road outside the hotel used to be blocked off for massive firework display at midnight but this happens somewhere else now what a shame.
The weather was beautiful tapas alley as cheap as ever with cava or bear and tapas for 1 euro and on sea front coffee and brandy or baileys plus a cake for 1.40 euros. Hotel drinks very reasonable to. Only thing missing in room is kettle so if you like a morning or afternoon cuppa in your room take a travel kettle. If you like the benidorm that you se on the tele do not go to this hotel as you will be disappointed this hotel has got class.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view of sorts but to get best views you need to be on 12 th floor upwards
