“Shame its gone downhill”
Reviewed 6 July 2013

Really disappointed. Have stayed here before with my partner and was pleased when it came up again on the booking system. I knew that it was on cardiac hill and where it was situated. However it seemed to have changed drastically over 2 years and the staff did not like English people and neither did the other Spanish guests staying there. They were rude on reception and rude in the restaurant, the only civil, friendly people were the staff in the pool bar and the cleaning lady. The food was awful and I had the squits all week until we decided to no longer eat there on day 5 and after eating at Tony Roma's on the Saturday evening it was the first time I'd been regular all week! I’m a Benidorm regular (twice year usually) I will never return there again.

Just arrived back from the mont park hotel, had a nice holiday very basic hotel but food was varied and plenty choice would not recommend this hotel for kids who are fussy eaters as did not have much choice for them ie; pasta, macaroni, and spaghetti, room's are very basic badly in need of a refurbishment but clean, as to the staff found the restaurant staff friendly but the reception staff badly need to go on a good manners course very abrupt to the point of rudeness unless you were spanish if Spain are trying to encourage people to return to Spain they need to do some work with hotel staff, sharp incline up to hotel so if you are disabled would not go to this hotel i would return to this hotel if i read it had been refurbished.

we arrived late / early in the morning, check in was swift and efficient, we got room 703 on the seventh floor, room was clean but there was a smell we thought was coming from the drains, but it was in fact from the aircon, which was not working ,we were told it was because it wasn't yet hot enough, but with the complaints from the mainly Spanish guests it was switched on . that's when we found out for definite that's where the smell was from, we used air freshners to try and eradicate it with some success but it only masked the smell, the food was good and we had no problems with choice or seating, rooms were cleaned daily, The only downside is the steep hill okay for fit people but not so good for disabled or infirm, would I book this hotel again for a third time yes I would apart from the slight smell in the room it was fantastic value and a pleasant stay close to all the amenities and clubs.

Room Tip: would still ask for seventh floor but not room 703

Just returned from 5 nights at the Mont Park Hotel, Benidorm travelling with 3 friends.
Room- The room was an ok standard. We were on the 7th Floor but never had to wait long for a lift. The room is very basic but did the job for sleeping and changing. The Shower was very powerful. The room was very clean and had your towels changed daily. The Balcony was nice to sit on and see the excellent views of Benidorms beach and Old Town.
Pool Area-The pool area is very nice and clean. There was always plenty of sun beds available as a lot of the clientele in the hotel are Spanish and not interested in sun bathing. You also get a few locals in the pool area but they are no problem and normally just enjoying some time with their families in the pool. Another advantage of the hotel is it’s not full of the Stag and Hen Party’s so it is very peaceful during the day which is exactly what you need after a night on the tiles.
Bar- the bar was excellent and very good value for money. The drinks were very reasonable, a bottle of water a Euro, a pint of Lager only 1.30 Euros’, a soft drink two euros and Strongbow 3 Euros. They also did shorts which were only around 3 euro for large measure and mixer.
Restaurant- The food in the restaurant is of good standard. There were always plentry of tables available when we normally went in about 8.30pm. There are not massive amounts of choice of main courses but there was always something I liked. I had Chicken, Veal, Pork Schnitzel, and Lasagne over the week. There were also plenty of salads and soups to choose from. I can’t comment on the Sweet’s as I’m not a Sweet man. I also can’t comment on Breakfast as I’ve never been up in time due to being out so late!
Location- The location of the hotel is very good. You are a two minute walk from the beach which is at the most north end of the Levante beach. You are around a 10 minutes’ walk to Morgans Tavern which is basically the start of the main party life and then a further 5 minutes walk to the English Square where Café Benidorm is. The old town is around 20-30 minute stroll from the hotel. There are literally 100’s of restaurants and cafes within a 10 minute walk. There is a Burger King, MacDonald’s and Subway at the bottom of the hill the hotel is on if you want some home comforts.
Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and are returning to the Mont Park for a week in September. Don’t be expecting five stars but for what you pay it is very good value. The only let down of my holiday was I had my phone pick pocketed but this was not the hotels fault and certainly would not put me off Benidorm and was probably down to me having a few too many drinks if nothing else.

Stayed here for 5 nights, from 15-20 May 2013. The hotel is situated on a slight hill, between Subway & Burger King in the new town of Benidorm. Less than 5 minutes take you to the glorious Levante Beach. The hotel is basic but functional. Checkin was smooth, but without a smile. The bedroom was clean but the bed creaked, the walls were paper thin and the décor was drab. The bathroom was clean but the shower was what could only be described as "open plan". When showering, the floor was soaked as the was simply an opening for the water to splash through……strange to say the least. Cleaners came every day and were very thorough. They did have a mop - thankfully.

Though booked full board, I only had 2 lunches and 2 evening meals. The restaurant wasn't particularly large and, in the evening, there was a queue to be seated. I couldn't be bothered with this. Though a buffet, the selection was small and no indication of what the dishes were. When I did use the restaurant, I did eat but I would imagine that a "picky" eater might struggle.

The pool and bar areas were functional, well maintained but not busy. I would point out that the hotel appear to cater more to local and French taste, though there was a smattering of English speaking residents. Convenient, quiet location made up for the minus points of my stay. One further point, the lifts were painfully slow. In the end I only used them to ascend to my 7th floor. I walked down. Overall, you get what you pay for. Next time I'll pay a bit more.

Have stayed at this hotel as a couple about six times now. The hotel we find is really good value for what we paid, and it appears to be improving slowly over the years. The pool area has been refurbished and now the restaurant has a new extension making it about a third bigger in size. Above this extension leading out from the entertainment room, is a new sun terrace which is nice. The pool is not really suited to young kids as it is quite deep in the shallow end, and overall it mostly suits couples and friends. We have always found plenty of British people who we have met over the years and found them easy to get on with as the hotel has a laid back feel. I eat almost anything at mealtimes at this hotel and have never had deli belly which says a lot about the food and cleanliness.

Room Tip: Drinks at the bar are really cheap, and if you ask nicely they will even give you a small bowl of de...
