This place is like a scheme in itself barking dogs throughout the night local kids that terrorise the pools local youths rolling joints at pool and pool never saw cleaned once would certainly not recommended staying here as seems like the Spanish who live there are all drinking and none seem to work also saw young Welsh down syndrome lad be abused by these kids and when told to stop they brought there dad and friends round who were all very drunk and needed a good wash and they started threatening people at the pool

Back again after August; apartment just right for 2 mature ladies. The keys were where they should have been and on the last day they let us keep the apartment on until we left at 4.30 with no charge. Will definitely use them again.

would definatley stay there again, very safe and secure and for those of us who dont like highrise buildings, they are a definate must :)

we hve just returned from a week there. bungalows were quite roomy as there was 6 of us staying. there was toilet downstairs, lounge and kitchen., with fridgefreezer, gas cooker, microwave, kettle and washing machine cutlery dishes, pans etc..kettle broke but was replaced for us strait away . 2 spacious bedrooms and a bathroom with bidet toilet bath and shower upstairs. water was always hot. yes neighbours were noisy but the way the bungalows were situated its jst like a housing estate with tenants from many countries, some live there fulltime. nothing that a pair of earplugs would,nt sort. outside areas were spotless, park for kids and pools were excellent, security cameras in places and gates were always locked unless u were a keyholder. it,s situated pretty close to everything. i would definately go back.

Our apartment, No. 62, although spotless, was very basic and desperately needs a refurb. The apartment next door was empty and the trees in both neighbouring gardens were very overgrown so our patio was permanently in the shade. Our apartment was on the first run not far from the main gate and there was almost constant noise - doors slamming, gate banging, dogs barking, people shouting until the early hours. There's no air conditioning - we just had one fan, when we could have done with three. The location was good - behind the Sol Pelicanos, so it was about a 15 minute walk to the beach and the Calle Gerona's bars.

Room Tip: Avoid No. 62

This is roomy and good value, about 10 mins walk from Levante Beach. The duplex apartments are quite tightly packed, (reminded me of Herculaneum!) and there appears to be a mix of spanish and tourists occupying the place; it can be noisy: rowdy British in the early hours, noisy Spanish in the mornings, with the odd dark bark thrown in. There are 3 pools and a play area: they serve a purpose, but it's not a relaxing set-up, being so cramped. Each apart, has a garden, but again you wouldn't want to spend much time in it.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, useful. There are safes in the rooms for hire. Air con didn't appear to be available and tv had to be hired- paramount and ?spanish MTV seemed to be all there was.

There are a lot of entrances to the place and lots of keys, it is reasonably secure. The neighbourhood is ok, there's a supermarket next door and the usual British bars. Monsoon is very friendly next door and does value meals and breakfasts.

The Greek restaurant (turn right out of the main gate, at the end, near the market area) is friendly and great value- try and order something without chips and be liberated. There is a market here Sunday and possibly Wed. too.

I probably wouldn't stay here again, in conclusion: it is luck of the draw who your tourist neighbours are I guess, this is nearly bargain basement! I'd spend more and stay in the Old Town/ Centro - where I am now. Air con and being able to shut out the noise is quiet a nice feeling?

Room Tip: Tricky as so close together. Take some earplugs and keep your door shut.

Stayed at the Rinconada in August 2012. Not really apartments, more like small houses. The house was very nice, if a little bit dated, plenty of space for the 4 of us. Complex is just a 5 minute walk from all the bars and shops but far enough away to be peaceful. Needed to buy the aircon as it was so hot, only problem was that the aircon only worked downstairs so ended up using the pull out beds. Not all the houses had aircon so if you think you might want it then request a house with it. Great to have a small kitchen, fridge freezer, washing machine. Pool area quite small and not a lot for the kids to do. We booked direct and saved £200 so worth doing that. Santi who works there was very helpful. We took a ferry and then drove the rest of the way, parking can be a problem but there is a free car park behind the apartments. Small friendly bar outside, Beethovens, and then just up the road you have the Monsoon bar and grill. Over the road pop into the Mad Munk, staff really nice, food was excellent, as was the beer. Most importantly for the kidds, free Wi-Fi if you buy a drink. If you like chinese as you get to the top of the road turn left and head for the mandarin wok, last chinese on the right, look for the sign, well worth the walk! 9.95 for all you can eat or you can order from the menu, spot on!
Finally, if you have children under 11 and want to visit the waterparks or the theme park go to MacDonalds as they have free vouchers for children. You dont need to buy anything as they are all over the tables.
