Terra Natura has a promising collection - there is a decent variety of species kept at the park - and although the majority of the facilities are adequate, a number of the major exhibits are not.
The cat facilities in particular were awful, with Sumatran Tiger, Asian Lion, Jaguar and Ocelot in small enclosures devoid of enrichment. The Bengal Tiger facility was a minor improvement but was still rather uninspiring.
The whole place, whilst branding itself as 'immersive', is very barren and un-inventive. With such a large site and influx of visitors from the resort of Benidorm, there was potential to build something great here - of a similar calibre to Bioparc Valencia (1 hr 30 up the road, significantly cheaper and well worth a visit) - but the whole place seems to be thrown together, more about quantity of species than quality of facilities.
A special mention must also be given to the dreadful catering: the only restaurant offering a vegetarian main course was closed on our visit.
