we didn't want a highrise apartment block with hundreds of other people, so this was perfect, eight two storey houses each with four apartments . Our large two bedroomed apartment had a front and back terrace so we could always sit in the sun. The sitting room was comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for self catering. The houses were set in very pretty gardens and the pool area was also very well maintained and surrounded by flowering shrubs.
you definitely need a car, there is nothing close by (apart from the onsite bar/restaurant, which at this time of year was very quiet, in fact we only saw two other customers in there)- in high season i would imagine it to be different. Hosts seemed pleasant enough. Calpe- three miles away is a lovely town, with beautiful beaches and enough restaurants to give a different dining experience every night for a month! (no really loud discos- Great) Ideal touring base- lovely trips into the mountains - castell de guadelest well worth a visit. Great value for money!

Room Tip: all accommodation is the same, - the two bedroom apartments only had two single beds in each room

Firstly you really need a car or bike because Calpe town centre would be quite a walk. It's a bit difficult to find till you know it. When heading east on the main coast road, there are some tunnels through the rock just before Calpe. Get ready for the bridge. Slow right down as you go under the bridge because it's the next right on a left hand bend. Follow the rough concrete as it forks to the right, past a little roundabout sort of area. Past tennis courts on the left, and the bar/reception buildings are on your left. Make sure you have some cash when you check in (euro or sterling), because they like to have 100 euros in an envelope as a deposit against breakages etc. This exact same envelope was returned to us the evening before we left. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and do try the restaurant because the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Our apartment was spacious and equipped with everything we needed.
Would definitely stay there again.
There is a place in the mountains nearby called Guadalest, This is well worth a day out to visit . There is a monastery/castle and loads to see and do. The views are stunning.

Room Tip: I think I would prefer a room on the first, rather than ground, floor because it would be nice to have a balcony rather than patio.

Just returned from our week stay at Sunsea village which was made all the more enjoyable by the non-stop care and attention from Anita and Ghislaim in the bar/restaurant, and Luc and Nicky in reception. When we had a problem with transfers Georges, the owner, was there to make phone calls that we could not have made ourselves.
Our apartment, a 2 bedder, was far superior than one would have expected, but do not make a mess because you are in charge of the cleaning, and the toilet rolls!!
Just one regret-we only had a week there.
If you want to go out and about you do need a car, but we just went down to Calpe twice using the taxi service.

There were no issues with the resort, and would probably be good for families, however it is quite a distance outside of Calpe, and a car is needed to get into the town. It was clean enough and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We were there in June 2013, it was a very nice and peaceful location, about 5mins drive from Calpe and 25mins from Benidorm, I would advise the need for a car, and 5 mins drive out of the back entrance, if you can find it is a lovely little beach in a cove next to a small harbour.
Not a lot to do and see on your doorstep but after being out in Benidorm it's lovely to come back to the peace and quiet.
Didn't try the food but by all accounts it was very nice on site, the apartments were clean fairly spacious and cool.
Overall I would rate this complex as very good!
