“For your summer escapades”
Reviewed 16 August 2012

I was here with group of friends to participate in Habaneras choir competition 2 weeks ago. It was summer - and it is a perfect hotel for below reasons :

- only few meters walk to the beach side (well, 2 minutes to the rocky beach, 5 minutes to the closest sandy beach)
- lively pools (by means, pools with lots of entertainment til night)
- friendly staff
- bus stop right in front of the hotel (if you decided to go to the city with taxi - it'll cost you around 8 Euros one way)

what i don't like about the hotel was :
- choice of buffet (probably because we were there for a month, along with other participants, they arrange us a buffet for bfast / lunch / dinner - but taste gotten horrible as we stayed longer, also the restaurant staff / head staff was rude)
- room cleaning, they tried to clean up the room, but it is always sandy no matter how they cleaned it
- towels ! even worse, the cottons were falling off the towels, and also strong smell of bleach

Room Tip: - the hotels have two wings, looks like the other wings (facing the sea) is new-er than the sides i...

Noisy is the overall impression of the hotel. Disco music from 10:00 in the morning to 01:00 at night around the poole area, unfortunately every room facing the pool so it's impossible to change to a more quiet room. This together with the fact that you can hear almost everything going on in the room above makes it very unpleasant. The staffs English capabilities are limited to none existing. The in room safes has to be rented and are not complimentary and is in poor condition. Due to the hotels gym facilities the hotel is exstra crowded with locals froom nearbye school classes, so make sure you plan a 10 minute wait if you are interested in asking the reception anything during daytime. The breakfast is below average at best, everything is there but not in good condition.

This hotel is very large, the rooms spacious, but very basic. The location is quite near the beach, but otherwise not very attractive. From the balcony I had a sea view, that was nice. For shops you have to walk. There is a bus connection to Torrevieja about every 30 minutes, but the buses run unregularly. In the winter the area is quite dead. The buffet breakfast was ok.

I think that means I liked it more or less! A friend of mine has a property not far from
here, so its usually more cost effective to book a hotel for a night when somebody is in the property, than it is to book a next day flight: if that makes sense? Cabo Cervera is perfect for
this. Its reasonably priced, breakfast is adequate and the staff are very friendly.
Overall Cabo Cervera serves its purpose quite well for a short stay.

Room Tip: location is a key factor for people who book this hotel

We arrived late (1am), and I honestly just wanted to turn around and find another hotel.. The room smelled like it had not been opened for several years, and it was hot and sticky..The furniture was old and curtains and AC was beond outdated... But it was clean, and no bugs. We decided to stay the first night and see the next morning.

Breakfast...maybe I'm picy but I just couldn't eat there. Eggs, and bacon were both soggy, and nothing really looked appealing...There was a selection of bread and pasteries, yoghurt, cereal and fruit - but presentation....Anyway, we found a nice little place by the beach that served omelette and coffe (the omelette was not on the menu and they served us before they even opened:))

We stayed 3 nights. Torrevieja is not the place for luxury, we could not find anything but 3 star hotels, afterall this was probably a ok choice for this area. The room was big and clean, and service Ok for a 3 star hotel!

We've been in Torrevieja at the end of August 2011 with two of my girlfriends. We've stayed in Cabo Cervera for 8 days and we had bed & breakfast option. Rooms were spacious, clean and all of the rooms have got sea view. Our was on the 9th floor and we had a fabulous view from our balcony. People at the hotel were very friendly, polite and helpful. There was an entertainment at the evening, mostly for the children and in Spanish language but there was also bingo for everybody and a disco on Saturday for adults. Despite of the fact that we barely know any Spanish we've been welcomed very warmly be Spanish tourists. Most of them were families with children.
There was a large variety of food at the breakfast buffet and everything was fresh and nicely prepared. Beach was only 10 minutes walking from the hotel. Very quiet area, the bus stop is just next to the main entrance to the hotel and it gets to the town center within 15 minutes.
Overall we spent fantastic time in there I would definitely come back to that place!!

we stayed in this hotel for a week in june 2011. We have 2 young children so wanted a hotel by the beach with a nice pool, this hotel had that. It was very quiet for the first few days, only 10 or so rooms booked from a capacity of around 200..we didnt mind this as it was mainly a base to see family that live in the area. This wouldnt be ideal if you are an english family staying here for the nightly/daily entertainment as there was none initally as the hotel was very quiet. Towards the end of our stay more family's had booked in, none english, all pretty much spanish, then the entertainment kicked in but it was totally geared towards them. The breakfast buffet is great, lots of variety and the kids had plenty of choice. The pool was very clean and the baby pool is particularly nice for the little ones, my youngest is 3 so he loved it...the lifeguard was very on the ball and we felt our kids would be totally safe around the pool area. The hotelroom was a nice layout, separate bedroom and sitting room which was handy, but air-con was only in the living room not the bedroom so it was almost unbearable trying to sleep most nights. The sitting room area had a fridge which was great for juices/water etc..The bedroom and bathroom windows were of a slide design, like patio doors but didnt have locks on them so could easily have been opened from the outside by a stranger or by a child from the inside, wasnt impressed with this so myself and my husband had to sleep with our children to make ourselves feel secure...hotel and surroundings were always very clean and tidy and the receptionists were very polite and helpful. ALL the rooms have a sea view which i thought was brilliant. I may stay here again as a base for travelling but not for a main stay hotel, it isnt geared up for that, unless you are spanish of course! on one occassion a coach load of school children decended on the pool area with no warning to the guests and they took over the pool, which i was shocked with as they were noisy and it was very intrusive, strange thing to happen i thought, as it was obviously a school trip of somekind. Not a hotel to stay in for english families expecting entertainment or things to do.

Room Tip: all rooms have sea views, lots of parking
