Owner description: BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

This was the perfect way to send half a day with two young children. The Bioparc is just the right size and is so well thought out. We visit our local zoo often (the Toronto Zoo) and it just doesn't come close in comparison. Even the food in the little restaurant is good. Visiting the Bioparc has been one of our top highlights of our trip to Spain.

We had a very nice time at Valencia Zoo, the park is beautiful and the animals well cared for. It was a bit expensive at 24Euros as it is not a huge area. The real drawback is that you are not allowed to take any food in with you and your bags are searched! We had a lovely picnic made which we had to take back down to the car. We thought this may be so people do not feed the animals, but no, you were able to buy food in the cafe and wander round with it. Also only two of the four food outlets were open ( in July!!) one sold only sandwiches and crisps, The other was a very expensive restaurant but you had to queue round and round barriers, reminded me of school dinners! Poor show Valencia bio park, a nice picnic area would have made such a big difference. Will not be back.

My wife and I were in Valencia for several hours during a recent cruise. The Bioparc was an excellent place to visit for several hours. Animals are well kept and they were extremely active, especially on a day where the tempature was in excess to 95 degrees.

The environment was very pleasant to walk around. I highly recommend visiting the Bioparc, a hidden jewel in the city of Valencia. One of the best zoo attraction that I have been to. A fair amount of walking, bring your camera, you can get some great shots

Great experience, the best zoo I've ever seen. It's wonderful to see the animals running almost free and not in cages
