Owner description: BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.
Useful Information: Bathroom facilities, Stairs / lift, Activities for older children, Wheelchair access, Baby buggy parking, Activities for young children

“Ok as a zoo. Terrible queues to enter”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

As a zoo this was fine and if you like zoos then still worth going. But be warned, on our day (and also as previous reviews have stated) the queueing system is terrible! Very long ( 45 mins ) and poorly organised. In the heat with a small child this was a nightmare which only got worse.

If you reserve a ticket as previously suggested (at least on the day we went) the queue for prepaid tickets was 15mins longer than the normal queues!!!!

Also we pre-bought tickets through the Trip Advisor site (Get Your Guide) and as an option during booking choose emailed/smartphone tickets . When we EVENTUALLY got to the front of the queue we were told that we MUST HAVE A PRINTED COPY. Thus ensued a dramatic attempt to gain entry lasting another 20mins and finally resolved by an understanding Manager who let us through based on the email confirmation that I was showing him, although he had no way of scanning the IR Code or even entering the booking number!!!! In the end he pretty much had us jump over the gate !!

So be warned, if you choose to prebook tickets have a printed copy and think twice before pre booking.

“Fantastic day out”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

The Bioparc is beautifully landscaped, provides amazing access to the animals and thanks to some very clever planning makes you feel like there is hardly any barrier between you and the animals. The cafe affords a great place to have a drink and watch the wildlife go by.

“Nice parc”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

Bioparc Valencia looks almost the same as any other zoo. But there are two good exceptions
The concentrate only on the African continent
In the Madagaskar part you can almost pet the animals. The walk freely between the visitors of the park

“Even better than expected, not your standard zoo.”
Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

After hearing a lot of good things, we decided to check out the Bioparc, and we are so glad we did.
I'm generally against the idea of zoos that enclose the animals in small spaces, so for me, this was a breath of fresh air. The animals are mixed together with other species they would naturally encounter, they are free to roam very large enclosures, and as a result, they are the healthiest and happiest looking animals I have ever seen. If only more zoos could be like this. Eating lunch overlooking the giraffes is a spectacular experience. A must-see for anyone who would like a different zoo experience.

“Just an illusion”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Really beautiful place, with luxuriant vegetation, waterfalls, rocks...
But the animals have very small and limited enclosures, no place to hide, they can't avoid the crowd. You think you're in a wonderful zoo, but it's not...
