“Good value food with a good 'menu de la noche'”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

For €17 each we had a very good 3 course meal with plenty of choice for each course unlike some places. There was a large sport's team eating upstairs which made for a lively atmosphere but not unpleasantly so.
Would recommend this restaurant for a restaurant in a good central location and with reasonably priced traditional local food. To our taste buds the paella was very good and the grilled cuttlefish I had for started was excellent (not too rubbery).

“Good value, good food”
Reviewed 7 November 2011

Right on the square in Valencia. Small restaurant, but they all are really. Had a set menue for 18 euro per person. Good choice of all 3 course, I had mussles, chicken and chocholate crepe. The mussles were great as was the checken and dessert. My friend had the Valencian salad - it was enought to feed at least 3 people, and then the pork which she said was beautiful. Drink prices were not too expensive, on a par with the rest of Valencia (around 6 to 7 euro for vodka and mixer)

“A good place to stop”
Reviewed 20 October 2011

A restaurant conveniently located in the Plaza de la Reina, with a pleasant terrace. The service was adequate and friendly. They have a variety of tapas and offers typical dishes of the region such as paella and fried fish. The presentation of the dishes were ok and had good flavor, though a tad salty. In general, a good place to stop

“Value for money...”
Reviewed 20 June 2011

After a full day at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, all we needed was a good quite restaurant. Pepe Pica is in the heart of Plaza Reina and was perfect for our needs. We opted for a set menu and a nice bottle of white wine. Food was of good quality and served at regular intervals. Service was fine although one must mention that there were few guests. Would return in my next visit to Valencia.

“Overrated in my opinion”
Reviewed 9 September 2010

Overrated Paella pretty much sums this up. It's a nice place on the plaza and its presentation is fine. I had the seafood Paella. I must have had high expectations because I was not impressed at all. It was fine but boring. Not sure why people rave about this. My guess is that most other Paella places are crap, you can tell by looking at them. Ten a penny tourist traps.
