I choose the hotel for its location, price/quality ratio, excellent staff and great breakfast. It is a typical 3* Spanish hotel. Downside is that it attracts a lot of coach parties, football groups with the subsequent downside - last week I had a gang of drunken Brits next door which spoilt my night sleeps. However after phoning reception, the hotel staff seemed to sort the problem out. 20 minute walk downtown but the metro is opposite and the bus nearby takes you to the Oceanographic and downtown. Not the best hotel in Valencia but overall a good hotel offering excellent value for money. Recommended.

My husband, Mum and I travelled to Valencia to meet up with my daughter who is currently teaching in Valencia as part of her university studies.
My expectations were not really very high, however I am really pleased to say that the hotel exceeded everyones expectations.
The staff on reception were very welcoming and arranged for us to have rooms near to each other.
The rooms were very comfortable and even though the decor was a little dated they were spotless clean. The linen was changed every day and the maids were very thorough!!
The mini bar as in all hotels was quite expensive but we filled it with our own supplies which didnt cause any problems at all.
Breakfast was delightful, with freshly squeezed orange juice and a great selection to choose from including omelettes made to order.
No hairdryers in the room, however no problem at all as reception are very happy to supply these on request.
The hotel was not as noisy as I had expected,, and we slept really well without any disturbance. The hotel pool was a real bonus as is was great to chill out after a busy day sightseeing. Only problem was as it was early in the season the pool bar was closed. The staff were great though, and allowed us to bring our own drinks and food to the outside terrace.
Overall I felt this hotel was great value for money and would definately return. A fantastic holiday spent in a beautiful city in very clean comfortable surroundings

The location of the hotel was excellent to connect with the Metro and Bus, only 1.90E from Valencia airport by metro with only one change. Don't make the mistake we did check out the Bonocards, daily and Visitor transport offers Valencia is bigger than you think, tried feet are not fun!
On booking into the hotel they supplied a very good leaflet on the local sights and a tourist map that had the main bus routes marked, we found reception to be willing and helpful in answering our queries and assisted with a cup of milk 'free' when we asked late the first night where we could buy some.
Reviews I read about the hotel sugested that the food in the resturant was not the best, we were therefore pleasantly suprised at the quality and variety of food offered in the buffet for breakfast [9 euros] and evening meals [20E], although I would recommend that in low season that you eat soon after 8pm for the evening meal as the hot food was not topped up. If you like breakfast it would be worth checking out the cost of adding it to the booking.
Be warned the hotel walls are thin although we had no problems with noisy neighbours, the room we had was fairly basic but clean and comffy. We had no kettle in the room, although got no complaints about emptying out the for sale items in the minibar and filling it up with my own purchases - great that there was 2 supermarkets in the shopping mall behind the hotel.
The sight we enjoyed most supprised us as it was the BioParc a short ride away on the 95 bus, the annimals appreared more content and lively than any zoo I have been to and it was great to view them so close up with only natural barriers keeping us/them safe.
Valencia is not a cheap option for shopping, eating out, drinks etc. it felt more costly than London!!!!

We stayed here for Las Fallas, the big annual celebration where the whole city is exploding or on fire. Awesome experience BTW.

We reserved the hotel for 3 nights. The cancellation policy says up to 12 hours before check in. We called a couple days before that saying we'd only be needing 2 days. They said, OK, no problem, here is your new price. It was a little more than 2/3 of the initial quote, so great.

We arrive at the hotel and lo and behold, the reservation was canceled. They claimed we canceled it, we did not. We showed them our printout and said it was their mistake. They said, 'Too bad, but you're lucky as we still have rooms left. But of course the rate is different now and the new price is...' Big surprise, it was almost exactly what the original reservation value was. If we didn't like it we could go elsewhere.

This was Las Fallas, the one night where everything is probably booked so we had little choice but to submit to their ransom. So basically we had to pay for three days, even though we stayed only two.

Parking is also steep and inconvienent. The lot next to the hotel is 18.5 Euros/day. There is a cheaper lot that is 12 Euros, but it is the next metro stop away. I think they have Internet, but you have to pay for it.

The rooms themselves are OK, nothing special.

Although we had a great time at Las Fallas, we'd never recommend this two-timing establishment to anybody.

I stayed here 21-24th Januray 2010 for a business trip. The hotel is cheap and good value on the face of it. Rooms are clean but tired, I had an executive room which has an additional little room which had a little table and 2 chairs, and a TV (not working) mini bar etc. My room was on the 10th floor on the street side - the air conditioning wasn't on, so I had my window open - there was a lot of traffic noise, and Valencia is a 24hour city, so noisey all night.
Walls are very thin, I could hear the alarm clock of the person in the next room.
If you are a group of younger travellers looking to party and need somewhere as a base, then this is a great choice. If you are on business then there are probably better hotels.

We just came back from and had a horrible hotel over there, so we didnt have big expectations for the next one. But it was great, we didn't pay a klot for the room but it looked really fresh and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast buffet was also great!
The hotel is not located in teh city center but really close to all kinds of transport.

For the money, it's a good deal, but it's not a gem. The location is a short walking distance from old town and a 15 minute bus ride to the Science/Oceanic museum. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel's door. Grocery store in the lower level of Corte Anglais department store is 20 meters from the hotel's front door. Rooms are thin walled and have two doors, which does not stop the noises ranging from people having sex to men having business conversations. Floors are tiled with dirty grout, but otherwise clean. Even in mid November, the rooms are a bit hot, especially at night. If you open the window, it is very loud in the room. With the window closed, there is almost no street noise except for the random siren (typical of any city). Beware: This hotel claims to have free internet, but it's not really true. They offer 15 minutes of free internet per stay (not even per day!) and then you need to pay. No free computer terminal in the lobby. The restaurant downstairs REALLY smells like smoke, so if you are a non-smoker, you'll almost certainly be unable to hang out for a drink. I got such a cheap deal (about $53) that I cannot complain about anything, but this place is just OK.
