We made a short visit to Valencia to visit the City of Sciences over 2 days and chose this hotel as it was so close and such good value. We were not disappointed. Parking was free and easy adjacent to the hotel. A good and generous breakfast buffet (nothing hot though.) There´s also an an enormous shopping mall situated between the hotel and the attractions. It´s also just 30 -40 minutes for a pleasant walk through the park to the city centre. Hightly recommended.

Very conveniently located for the Ciudad de las Ciencias. There was a fresh and clean smell when I walked into the room. The bed was the best one ever with an orthopaedic mattress, light yet warm covers and I even had a choice of a soft or firm pillow. Room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast in the morning was very good as well, including warm tortilla and fresh fruit. I would love to stay there every time.

Very friendly and helpful staff, couldn't do enough for us. Excellent cold buffet breakfast with pleanty of choice. Rooms standard Holiday Inn, could do with tea and coffee making faciltities but there is a bar in the reception area and also vending machines for ice as well as soft drinks and wines and spirits and snacks. Finding the parking area was difficult, there is parking within the hotel at an extra cost which we paid for but wasn't actually necessary as there was pleanty of roadside parking. Wonderful shopping centre right across the road with lots of bars and restaurants. Very close walk to the arts and sciences and only a short taxi or bus ride into old town Valencia. The only dissapointment was there were no local bars or restaurants other than the shopping centre. There was a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms.

This Holiday Inn is located in the north of the city at the end of Turia Park, about 10mins walk from the Oceanographic, Science Musuem area.

There is no metro station nearby, but from the airport we caught the metro to Xativa (Central station metro) and then got a cab to the hotel. This cost us 7 euros, plus metro fee. Probably the best way to get to the hotel. We were not aware of any metro station nearby, nor did we every need one as we used the bus, #95, that ran from near the Science Musuem all through town, or walked up the Turia Park to get to where we needed to go. Bus ride was 1.50 euros per trip, regardless of where you got off.

Hotel itself is very clean and reception staff very efficient and helpful. We even missed breakfast on our last day by 5mins and the receptionist very kindly got us some toast, ham and cheese to have. Really could not have asked for more. Breakfast was continental fare but plentiful. Only downside to rooms were they were slightly small, with not much storage and a very slim line wardrobe. No safe inside the rooms, nor tea/coffee making facilites, and no mini bar. We did request a double bed, but were given a twin bedded room and when queried this was told we were better off in a twin bedroom as a double bed is only a queen size. Bathroom was clean and compact and had a shower and bath tub. We had hot water at all times, but not the best pressure. Our a/c worked fine when needed, no issues there. The bonus was that you get free wi-fi in the room.

There is a shopping centre right opposite the hotel which has a number of fashion shops, restaurants, cinemas and a supermarket, which is really handy. We also found a great bakery up the road called Lorna, (turn left out of the hotel and then first left and 3 blocks up). They had a great selection of sweets, savoury pies and rolls as well as huge portions of chicken and potatoes for lunch for 3 euros! Really recommed this place.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and were pleased to be in an area that we got to experience the local life style.
