“À real charm of à hotel.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 September 2010

It is exactly what you would expect of a charm hotel : small, cozy, great location with all of Valencia's must-see nearby, and very nice rooms. We had a room on the top floor, with a very nice and roomy balcony. Try to get room 52! And for dinner, there is no better place than the restaurant. Excellent food and good service. You don't find this quality in the city!

My husband and I stayed here while we were in town for Las Fallas. It's a perfect location - close to the riverbed for the fireworks, and just far enough from the Placa Ayuntamiento to miss the most crazy goings-on. It's also a great location near the cathedral to see the parades and the giant floral virgin being assembled.

However, because it was during Las Fallas, there were still crazy people screaming and setting off fireworks in the street outside the hotel. I don't think there's any place in the city that's not loud and insane during Las Fallas! Bring earplugs if you are in visiting then.

If you're not visiting Las Fallas, I imagine this hotel will be peaceful and serene.

Very accomodating staff - they went above and beyond what most front desk staff would do, and were always pleasant no matter what time of day or night. Great location on a quiet street right off a main thoroughfare, and a short taxi ride from the bus station. We stayed in a triple with our son - a very comfortable room, modern amenities, in an incredible historic building. We booked it based on Trip Advisor reccomendations, and want to pass it on to others. Cute organic restaurant on site, but we never got to eat there. We rented bikes to ride across town to the CIty of Arts and Sciences - the bike company delivered the bikes to the hotel which was really convenient. Beautiful citrus garden off Plaza de Las Virgenes. We thoroughly enjoyed discovering all the shops and restaurants on side streets.

Went with 5 girlfriends sharing 2 rooms. All very comfortable and well equipped. Central location for weekend city break a short walk from the old town and close to main routes for buses further afield. Really only slept here but found the reception staff helpful and professional. Had one dinner in the hotel restaurant (adjacent) for convenience sake on first night but was rather lacking atmosphere although food was good. Recommend taking meals including breakfast out and about - there is so much to choose from. We had 38 degree sunshine with warm evenings - perfect. Even swam in the sea at 9pm - do take the No 1 bus and visit the beach via the fantastic modern cultural centre; and the old town and the market; try a horchata drink and hit the music bars in the evening.

Splendid hotel tucked away in a quiet part of the old city, a few minutes walk from the main squares. The staff were helpful and the rooms were very spacious and attractively furnished and were very comfortable with nice en-suites. There isn't a car park which is a drawback but all in all a great place to stay to explore this wonderful city.

Reasonably priced, this townhouse style hotel in a quiet alley off the Cathedral is exactly what you imagine Spain to be like if you've never been. Facade looks like something from a movie set. Interior has old beams, high ceilings, period doors, and exposed brick. Don't worry about it being slightly off the town center, once you figure out how to walk through winding streets you realize it's very close to town center. You can walk from train station to the hotel in 15-20 minutes, and a cab ride is only US$5 for this distance. You can walk from Cathedral to this hotel in 5 minutes. The town center is not very large. I would stay there again next time. Breakfast is fantastic - not just continental breakfast, there were melons and jamon and tortilla espanola. Lovely people, architecturally worth seeing. Romantic for you couples out there! Got a room on the back end...no problem with noise at all.
