“Good Hotel, Good Location”
Reviewed 9 April 2013

It is the second time I went to this hotel, the staff is very freindly and helpfull, the first time it was too nice they upgrad us to suite room and the second time we get poor room but they move us to another room quickly as we were with baby.

the location is in near plaza espagna, metro and taxi or right fron the hotel.

during las fallas 2013 we enjoy our stay there.

only I'm requesting to add a way for baby stroller to get to the restaurant rather to handle it on the steps.

Room Tip: you have to book the superior room.

Firstly the location is great near the metro, rail station and 5-10 minutes walk into the old town, or 10-15 minutes walk to the Turia riverbed. Had a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking other buildings and facing the sun. The room got very warm on sunny days even with the window open. This made sleeping, along with the twin beds, a little uncomfortable, although it was quiet. The free wifi was ok but quite slow in this part of the hotel. The room itself was clean and had everything you may need. Breakfast was reasonable with a bit of everything enough for a start to the day. For the price however this was very good value in the city.

The hotel is located in the downtown area which is close to almost everything. I booked it from booking dot com and the price was really reasonable (about 70 EUR per night for two people - although I was a solo traveler). The room was spacious, big bathroom with bathtub, and quiet at night. The wifi was slow from time to time but generally it works okay. I didn't take the breakfast package and instead opted for some nice cafes around the hotel (ask the service counter and they will give you suggestions + map). Generally it was a good stay.

The hotel staff is friendly. WiFi was good in my room. My room looked very nice and was spacious. The location is very good, although you can here some noise from the busy road nearby. My room was at the front of the hotel and the double glazing was not really effective. Some noise from party goers in the middle of the night.

The towels were large and of good quality but smelled bad almost each day. Mentioned this to the hotel staff, but it didn't improve. The tap water tasted bad (chlorine ?). Felt that in my belly after a few days, and had to switch to bottled water (from a nearby supermarket). That was a first for me in a hotel in Europe ever.

Room Tip: You would probably not want a room at the front because of some noise from the street. But I don'...

We stayed here for four nights as part of a holiday package. The hotel is fine for a short stay. It's in a good location, the old town is about a 10minute walk. Would recommend going to the old town especially the plaza la reina which has great restaurants.

The hotel rooms are fine boutique style. The hotel amenities are few. It has wifi but signal is not too great. No safe in room. The 'bar' area is a lounge and the drinks are brought to you. Bottle of red is €8 which is good. Bathroom was clean and the shower is lovely. My only concern was the bathroom door got stuck and I was trapped for 10 minutes, fittings on draw in bathroom was also broke, minor things really. Get your walking shoes on and enjoy this lovely city.

Our room was the 209, facing a not at all nice view.
The smell of fried came inside and the room was way too hot, even for the ongoing Autumn.
The hotel is clean and the location is good. The weakness is it's wifi: exactly, the signal wasn't that strong and we couldn't access as we wanted.
Overall impression is good

Initially upon booking this hotel my husband and I were wary of the location. Once we arrived and settled into our huge room(not a suite) and walking out the door we were very pleased with our choice. Right across the street is a locals coffee bar where we had coffee every morning, then two blocks down the street is a main walking area with bars restaurants and shops. It was awesome!
