“The best choice for opera lovers”
Reviewed 19 March 2013

This is the cheapest 3 star good hotel I've ever been in! The position is excellent if you want to visit Calatrava's quartier (science museum, Oceanografic ecc). It's also new, clean and well served by bus if you need to go to the center. There is a bus station in a front of it. Absolutelly, the best choice for the opera lovers. You can see the opera house from the window!

Positives :
I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights last week end. It is a big hotel divided in two entites Las Artes I and Las Artes II. Both are members of the chain NH hoteles. The location is great if you want to go visit the outstanding Science museum and Oceanorium. The bus N°35 will take you to the city center in only 10 min for only 1,5 euros. There are plenty of buses running til around 10pm every day. My single room was basic but clean. There is a TV set will international TV chanels. Bathroom was small but fonctional. I only paid 77 euros for 2 nights. It is a good deal.

Negatives :
There are many points I believe which could be improved :
- One of the ladies at the reception was not particularly friendly.
- water was rusty (red/brownish colour cos of rust) when opening the tap. It is due to old pipes full of rust. Disgusting.
- The windows are not double glazed. As a consequence, it is very noisy inside of the rooms due to the heavy traffic on the main avenue. I must notify that I was staying on the 6th floor and with the windows closed. I can't imagine customers sleeping in lower floors....impossible to sleep!
- No free wi fi internet in the rooms but only in the lobby. It is not acceptable!
- Breakfast buffet is charged at 12,5 euros! A rip off!
- No shower cabin but small bath equiped with shower.

Rooms are not very big, but enough even with a cradle. It was clean and had no problems at all.
We asked for a room facing the pedestrian square and didn't hear any noise during fallas days.
My wife needs complete darkness and absolute silence for sleeping and she had no problems with the room.
It was located 20 min walk from the center, not that far.

Room Tip: the rooms facing the avenue may have some noise as it has lot of traffic.

Old fashioned room and a rather small hotel but comfortable. 20 minutes from the city centre but if that's not a problem for you its in a nice location across from the museum of Science and arts and near a long green park, nice for a walk. Staff were friendly to. No iron or ironing board which I normally like as it was chargeable for all laundry. If you get a good price for it then I would say yes if not no.

It's right next to a mall and the City of Arts and Scieces. I stayed at the taller building, but was never really sure if I was at the I or II hotel. The rooms was typical small Europe. They haven't seem to discover wash clothes, and breakfast was over priced. The resaurant serves good food. The price was nice. The front desk staff was pleasant enough and spoke English, but some of the others (like the bartender woman) was outright rude. Thermostat controls in the room seem to blow around whatever temperature is already there.

Don't let the front desk call you a taxi...if they call a taxi then the meter starts when they receive the call not when they pick you up. There are plenty of taxi's outside the hotel so just go wave one down.

The rooms were new, clean and quiet. Very helpful staff and they speak English. Very close to the city of science but not that close to the city center. It has wifi, buffet breakfast and room service but we did not check any of these.

The hotel is a little far from the center, but a 5 minute walk from the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. Amazing. Loved Valencia, loved the hotel. There's a bus right across the street that takes you to the center, and takes about 20 minutes. The rooms were good, the staff was friendly. Overall, a great value. Would go back.
