“GREAT LOCATION”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Room was very clean and presentable. However, the hotel is due for an upgrade and looks tired. The staff were great. The breakfast and buffet dinner were excellent and great value. Good option in Valencia

Perfect location! We had a room on the top floor with a balcony looking over the main square in Valencia. Very quiet. Only 5 minutes walk from Estacio del Nord, the main railway station where we arrived on the Metro from the airport, so exceptionally convenient. Extremely well tended hotel, very clean, good sized room and bathroom, wifi was excellent, very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly - can't really fault this lovely hotel. It's close to all the touristy things to see and do and lots shopping opportunities surrounding the hotel too.
We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel as we always like to eat in the little local places near our hotels. Tried the Ascot Cafe just a few metres away and went back there each morning. Standard breakfast like the locals eat was freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh croissant and coffee. Super, super cheap at just 3.9 Euros each! Coffee was good - black coffee brought to the table and hot milk poured in by the waiter - tasty and nice and hot.
We'd definitely stay at this hotel again and highly recommend it.

Location is 'perfect ' for business or pleasure, i.e. It is central - to key tourist spots and city transportation. Rooms are clean and of generous size -- as is breakfast. Price is "cheap" compared to others. English facility of staff is minimal, but they try hard and always with a helpful, pleasant attitude.

This place has an excellent location - right on the main plaza. It's also a 10 minute walk from the Xativa metro and the Estacion del Norte train station that has a shuttle bus to the Joaquin Sorolla station for the AVE trains.

The hotel itself is showing signs of wear, but I had a comfortable standard room, internet, an armchair, a mini bar, a bath and shower. There was a small balcony that looks onto the street but not the main plaza.

I wasn't feeling very well on my first night, so I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was a 3-course prix fixe for 26 Euros. The soup was good but the steamed fish was just fine. The food was good but not memorable. Considering that good, inexpensive meals are available for about 10-15 Euros, it was not good value but I did not feel like checking out other places. What I did notice on the following nights is that the restaurant didn't have many clients.

As an aside, I like soups and in Malaga, Valencia and Girona, I had very tasty "crema del dia" They are vegetable soups that have been blended, generally no cream.

The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. A few years ago, my husband and I stayed at Melia hotels in Spain, and that's what I remember: the breakfast spread, and this hotel did not disappoint. There were chorizo, jamon, smoked salmon, different cheeses, in addition to eggs, Spanish torta, and fruit.

What stood out for me during this stay was the solicitousness of the employees. I wanted very much to make tea in the room since I wasn't well; however, there was no kettle in a standard room. Francisco at reception had hot water sent up for me a couple of times. As well, Imma (sp?) in the breakfast room always asked me if I wanted lemon for my hot drink after I asked on the first day. Very kind service.

I had a very good stay and will come back next time I'm in Valencia.

Decent hotel in the city centre, it's great for exploring the tourist hot spots. Beds are tiny though. The wifi is very good. It is close to the bull stadium and you can't hear the traffic outside. The staff are very nice and friendly

The hotel is perfectly located in the middle of the most popular square of Valencia (downtown "old city"). I had an early arrival (09:30), no problem to check in against a very reasonable price ( € 82,50 incl. taxes). The room (207) and bathroom are is nice. Mini bar and room safe are available. Excellent beds. I slept extremely well. The room was clean.
The room is opposite the elevator (not that much noise though). On the other hand I woke up early in the morning from people walking around with their trolleys.
The younger desk attendees speak English, the older try to(o) and ... manage ... :-)

Room Tip: I had room 207 opposite the ellevator. Looking out the window you look into an office building, from...

2 days in Valencia, we used this time the Melia Plaza just beside the old Citycenter.
It is good located for shopping or exploring the Tapas Bar´s in the evening, so if you look for that , you are best in here.
For Businesstrips it is not the best, single Rooms are not that big, even the bed in there are small.
To work on a table you just have a small one, free internet in the whole hotel is ok!

The Gym in the 11th floor is fitted with 4 new machines, also a small sauna is there.
A outside "solarium" sun deck with Jackuzi is also there, in summer nice, but now,... not useable.

Breakfast buffet is ok.

It would be great if this hotel sees some upgrade renovation on the rooms,
to be a honest 4star hotel again , with Top Location!
