“A gem of a palace”
Reviewed 11 March 2014

In addition to the wide range of porcelains on display, mostly from the province of Valencia, stemming from early age to present days, the palace is a delight to the eyes, with a range of tastefully decorated rooms, more in the 18th century than 19th century style, when it was re-decorated. The staff there is a little stern and could improve on customer service.

“Fabulous building”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

Very interesting guided tour. Really good value at 3 euro 50 each. Fabulously 'over the top' rooms. Much more than just a museum of ceramics.

“Great building with some interesting exhibits”
Reviewed 12 January 2014

A lovely palace in the heart of Valencia. The Marques was one of those very rich people who collected stuff and much of it is here. The real star is the building itself though, which is well worth a visit (and like most museums in Valencia, free on Sundays). There is plenty to see - from Cinderella-style coaches and sedan chairs on the ground floor to pottery from several ages of Spain on the upper floors. The Islamic pottery is especially interesting, and its importance is acknowledged in some lovely calligraphy by Spanish artists at the entrance. Well worth a visit on a cloudy day in Valencia, and handy for some great tapas and pinchos bars nearby.

Beautiful ornate building from the 15th century and restored in18th century.Top floor has wonderful ceramics dating from early Arab pieces to pieces done by Picasso.Really worth seeing.English guide was included with admission price. The guide was very knowledgeable . The entire building is loaded with beautiful art and the architecture itself is amazing.A must see if you enjoy art and history.

The rooms and their decoration is what I liked best. We took the guided tour and it was worth it. Saturday evening and Sunnday it is free.
