The location of these apartments is excellent. Not quite 5 minutes walk from Colon Metro station, on a good shopping street, 10 minutes walk to the old town. There are quite a lot of bars & restaurants in the streets behind the building worth a visit.
We stayed during & just after the Fallas. Our friends had apartment floor 5, 172 overlooking the shopping street (1 double bed & a single in the same room). We stayed on floor 3, room 58 looking down towards the ayuntamiento (double bed in separate room to the 2 singles). They were very secure as there is a 24hr concierge who keeps an eye on everyone coming & going.
We were checked in (office 42, 2nd floor) very quickly & efficiently. We were given maps, leaflets and even a little brooch to wear for the Fallas.
The kitchen was perfectly adequately stocked with the basic utensils to do a little cooking. The central market is fantastic for fresh food if you want to do some cooking, there is also a supermarket on the street behind the main entrance.
In room 58 there was loads of storage, very good hairdryer, large flat screen tv, washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, spare blankets & pillows. The other apartment was stocked similarly I presume but with less storage but it had an adjoining apartment separated by a locked door which probably had more.
The not as good
For the price these apartments are fantastic. However, the bathrooms were a little dated. Plenty of hot water but the shower didn't work very well.
The windows didn't seal very well so did let the noise in, but except during the Fallas, there isn't much street noise when you would be asleep so it's not a problem.
