Perfectly positioned in the old town to be close enough to walk everywhere but far enough away to be nice and quiet. Caro is a great design led boutique hotel with a top restaurant. The breakfast is lovely and the staff are excellent. The only possible downside is if you are very tall you might hit your head on the low beams that are in some of the rooms.

Dear Ian,

Thank you so much for your positive review. We really appreciate your effort, as your opinion is very important to us.

The location of Caro Hotel is indeed ideal: so close to all historical sights but far away from the main square to be able to enjoy a quiet evening on our terrace before going to your room.

It is nice to hear that you appreciate the design of Caro hotel, a balanced mix between old historical parts and new contemporary design. Since we are not part of a chain we can call ourselves a unique boutique hotel.

The restaurant Alma del Temple is located below the hotel and recently has got very good publicity, including a recommendation by the Michelin Guide. With their new menu they succeed to surprise both hotel guests as people from outside with the great flavors of Valencia.
Whether you have dinner, lunch, or breakfast, always you can find many local and fresh products and friendly staff to order anything extra you may need.

We hope to be able to welcome you back soon at Caro Hotel.
Remember that you can ask us any request 24hours a day and room preference can be selected on our website.

Kind regards,
Team Caro Hotel

I stayed here a few days ago n have been raving about this hotel - the location in the old town is great, near the Torres de Serranos, around the corner from a beautiful park, easy walking to so many amazing things. The staff was fantastic, the room was a good size n u felt like u were in a very good hotel - its pricier than many but they have thought out the details so its luxurious. The breakfast was delicious (still thinking about the chocolate crepes w the hazelnut filling). Side note - one night I had dinner at La Pitanza which is about an 8 to 10 min walk directly straight out of the hotel - best seafood paella ive ever had n José was a superb waiter. The free mini bar is a really nice touch n they include snacks! I had fun seeing which candy bar would appear next time :). My only complaint, small complaint, is there is only sugary soda offered, no diet cola (hey if im going to keep eating the chocolate, I have to counteract it w diet cola...). There is a mini grocery about a minute away though so I got my fix. Really a great hotel!

Dear guest,

It is a pleasure reading such a positive review as yours.
We are a unique boutique hotel that, compared to the big hotel chains, can not rely on its name to make good publicity. It is satisfied guests like you that spread the good experiences to other future guests. This is why your opinion is very important to us.

It is good to hear that you enjoyed all of the 5-star extras that are included in our night rate, like 24hour reception with always friendly staff, free minibar (where else can you find this?!), free sweets and other snacks, free tea service and many more. And please next time do not hesitate to ask for diet coke since we will be more than happy to include this in your minibar :)

Kind regards,
Team Caro Hotel

Absolutely fantastic hotel, full of lovely little facts and interesting stories. Lovely bar area, both inside and out, with beautiful plunge pool. We had complementary cocktails and tapas one night, perfect start to the evening. Very helpful staff who speak excellent English and are happy to book restaurants etc., clean and well presented, modern rooms. Wonderfully central location, yet still very quiet during the night.

Highly recommended.

Make sure to be aware of the fact that the Caro hotel is a unique hotel, which is something that I liked very much.

We stayed at te Caro Hotel for 2 nights recently and enjoyed the stay very much, The marriage of contemporary design with old artefacts through the whole building is tastefully done. A glass floor to show an old wall on the floor below is just one of the fine details.

The staff is helpful, friendly and offers a personal service. The in-room service with a free minibar and free tea service is worth mentioning as an extra.

Room 33 was the room we stayed in. The bathroom and especially the shower are fabulous, as are the beds. The room is located on the top floor. Due to that, the ceiling is angled, so although the floor size is quite large, for me, the place where I could stand straight up was limited. Personally I would add a dormer to the main living room of the room to add space.

Some smaller remarks: Tea is brought to the room free of charge, a coffee costs 4 euros. The pool is more of a gimmick to the hotel.

Location is perfect in the old city, very near the main park.

Room tip: Room 33 is on the top floor and although large in size, because of the angled ceiling not all floor space is usable. Still, quite large enough to move around freely.

Dear guest,

It is a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed so much your stay at Caro Hotel.

We indeed are a unique boutique hotel where ancient Valencian history meets nowadays design and comfort. In the design we have tried to be creative and original and an example of this is the glass floor and a small indoor moss garden.

At Caro Hotel we have 24hour reception that can help you with any service you may need, from our free 'Tea Lovers' menu to 24hour room service. We are aware of the difference between free tea and paid coffee when it is delivered, which you pointed out. Our idea is to provide this tea facility just as an extra and relaxing complement. Anyway, we appreciate your suggestion.

The complementary, free mini-bar is quite unique compared to other hotels where all its products are paid and we do believe it is one of the many ways Caro Hotel tries to make their guests feel comfortable and at home.

Room 33, 'The Templar Roofs', is one of the most singular rooms at the hotel. It has an angled ceiling since it is located right below the roof. For tal(ler) people this can be a bit inconvenient, so we advice our guests to feel free to raise this issue when booking or, if it becomes late for that, to request a different kind of room next time.

In these hot summer months, we offer our guests a small dipping pool on the terrace to get some refreshment. It is not big enough for swimming, but we think a good splash in the city centre is always welcome.

Warm regards,
Team Caro Hotel
