This hotel is absolutely fabulous. Not only are the staff the most helpful I have had the pleasure of meeting, the location in the old town is just perfect and the style and design combines the old wall of the town with a really modern twist. Every room is different and there is plenty of space and really lovely bathroom facilities. We are in the restaurant one evening - good food and good value. So around fabulous...

Dear Lindsey,

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on TripAdvisor.

We are glad to know that you did enjoy your stay with us. We focus on the importance of offering an excellent customer service and it is fantastic you appreciated that little effort :)

As you noticed, our location is one of our greatest strength. Our guests are able to visit the city-center on foot, which is very comfortable and convenient. Regarding our amenities, those who book a stay can try Bulgari’s complete line of Eau Parfumée products, which is made with essential plant oils and silk proteins and fragranced with Italian bergamot and pepper.

We are also happy to read you enjoyed our restaurant Alma del Temple, too. We think it is a hidden jewel just a few metres away from the crowd for its Mediterranean food and for its atmosphere. Indeed, it was recently considered one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world by German editors Taschen...

We hope to see you soon in your next visit to Valencia.

Sincerely,
Caro Hotel Team

The Caro is becoming our regular hotel in Valencia. A fantastic location right in the heart of the city and wonderfully helpful and attentive staff. The building and it's history are worth delving into. The rooms are modern and well designed and most importantly the beds are extremely comfortable. I'd highly recommend the Caro if it fits your budget.

Dear RSOslo,

It is a great pleasure to hear that you consider Caro Hotel your home away from home in Valencia. Our hotel has only been open for a little bit more than 2 years but we see more and more guests coming back Valencia and they decide to stay in our hotel again.

Caro Hotel is more than just a hotel; it also houses remains of all major civilizations that occupied Valencia, going back to the Roman Empire. There is a lot of history in our hotel and we are more than happy to share it with our guests. The quiet neighborhood and the stunning architecture that surrounds us invite you to just have a walk around and enjoy the atmosphere.

It will be a pleasure to welcome you back soon.

Best regards,
Team Caro Hotel

Recently spend 4 nights at Hotel Caro. Perfectly located to explore the old town, catch the metro to the new town and port. Hotel staff were excellent, could not do enough for us. Room was for three, plenty of space and well thought out. Free tea and soft drinks from the mini bar every day. No hesitation to recommend to any one visiting Valencia.

After a disappointing trip to Barcelona a few years back we were not really excited about a trip to Valencia Spain for a meeting. The Hotel, staff and city changed our opinion of Spain. This review will focus on the Hotel and staff but we would highly recommend a visit to Valencia if traveling to the region.
Location:
The Hotel is located in in old town of Valencia within easy walking distance to major attractions. The Hotel is small it is a good idea to have a Google map or IPhone to show taxi drivers if venturing outside the old city. It was situated 2 min walk to the cathedral and Roman Baths both quite interesting. As stated in other reviews the Hotel encapsulated the previous old Mansion of the Marquis Caro. Artifacts are displayed throughout the Hotel. The web site accurately highlights the unique room settings and artifacts. You can request a specific room. We were in the loft which was great though a sloped ceiling did make the large room seem a little tight.
The Rooms:
There was little drawer space for two, the closet was adequate, Mini bar stocked with water, soda and juice and replenished during the day. The temperature of the room was well controlled the bed and linens very comfortable. In General the Hotel was quiet though a festival in a Park across the way was a little noisy it stopped at midnight ( After dinner in Valencia) so by bed time it was quiet. We felt very safe walking in this part of the city well into the evening. The showers do have a glass door separating the shower from the room if you don't know your travel companion well you will be the end of the stay. Only improvement we would have is a little hook for the towel outside the shower. There was one inside.
Food
We did get the breakfast which was superb. Various bakery goods, eggs, bacon, granola, meats , cheeses. Coffee and Juices even some wine and champagne. The Restaurant was beatiful we did not eat there. While on food the Hotel sent up little treats through the day candies, truffles all quite tasty.
Staff
Everyone was excellent. We felt that the staff took pride in the Hotel. Everyone was friendly and willing to engage in conversation even though we speak no Spanish. Particular kudos to Jean who took us on a tour of the Hotel and it's treasures. The Front desk clerk Vera was friendly and we agreed with her recommendations for dinners and sight seeing. Also the young lady who looked after breakfast was very accommodating starting a little early one morning so that we could catch breakfast before our flight.
We are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel frequently and would put this high on the list of great experiences.

Room tip: You can select specific rooms all different. We had the loft which was quite nice If you book online they give you a drink and Tapas coupon for the bar

I have been going to Valencia since the 90’s, and from the hotels I stayed at, Caro Hotel has got to be one of the very best. Located in the old Valencia, you are a few minutes away from so many attractions. The transformation of this old palace into a modern day five star hotel could not have been done more tastefully. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and eager to assist. A receptionist who spoke perfect English, and who politely led me to my room checked me in at 1:00 in the morning. He was efficient and alert at that time in the morning.
The room I was given (36) had a bath and a shower. Water pressure is super. Minibar is complimentary and replenished daily. The floor is clean and carpet free (I hate carpeted floors in hotels).
I was staying with family in Valencia, so the time I spent in the hotel during my six nights stay was very limited. However, the little time I did spend within the confines of the hotel was simply amazing. My only regret is not dining in their restaurant; Alma del Temple. I was saving it for my last night in Valencia, a Sunday. Sadly it was their day off. I heard good things about it and will definitely try it on my next trip.
Negative points? Very difficult to find any but if I want to nitpick, I can think of a couple. Green conscious customers might prefer more LED lighting and the choice to launder the towels and sheets less frequently.
Would I recommend Caro Hotel to my friends? Definitely.
Would I go there again? Without a doubt!

Dear Roadetour,

Thank you very much for taking the time out to write this review. It is an honor to be rated as one of the very best hotels of Valencia by someone who visits the city for over a decade :)

As by now, you probably know the city pretty well and the fact that the location of Caro Hotel is ideal to visit the historical sights or to enjoy the many bars and restaurants of the old area of Valencia.

Besides offering a unique design throughout the entire hotel we also offer many services as can be expected from a 5 star hotel. We are glad to hear that you were satisfied with 24hour multilingual reception, the complimentary minibar, and your room in general.
Each room is different, some have a shower and bath, some a round bathtub... Photos and videos of all rooms are available on our website and you can choose the one of your preference if booking directly with us.

You say you would go again to Caro Hotel. If you do so, please let us know before your arrival and we will be delighted to make the reservation for you.

Last but not least, we take notice of your ideas for being a greener hotel, since green is the future. Indeed, we are currently implementing a sustainability management program at the hotel whose outcomes will be ready very soon. We are fully aware of the importance of the issues you raised to be coherent with our CSR.

It will be our pleasure to welcome you back in your next visit to Valencia.

Warm regards,
Team Caro Hotel
