I just got back from a week in Valencia and overall I would say it's a decent hotel but by no means a "High-tech hotel" it claims to be. there is a "slowish" laptop with slow internet in the rooms but no TV channels other thna spanish. We were initially put on the first floor in the tiniest room possible and it was supposed to accomodate a family of 4! the bathroom was ridiculusly small, windows didnt open fully and there was no light whatsoever as the room overlooked the breakfast room and there was a lot of echo from the other rooms around. They didnt have a twin room which we had booked but we got moved to top floor in a better room the day after which I have to say made the whole stay a lot more enjoyable. it had light, a proper separate bathroom and although the tein beds are stuck together, it is very manageable. Breakfast was good and although it caters for all there was little variety from one day to the next but a 3 star it was a perfectly fine breakfast. staff at reception dont speak that much english but are overall friendly, except perhaps for maria who could do with being a little nicer. the hotel is perfectly located off Calle martyr in the old town and is quiet if you have a room with a street view. it's 5 min from metro station Colon which is direct from airport (20 min). I would consider going back to hotel if it was to be in double bed room as when we saw some they looked a bit bigger than most.

Room Tip: ask for top floor room if they have any. we stayed in room 405 with twin beds. avoid at all cost first floor room 107 for example

Great location in the center of downtown Valencia, a bit hard to find initially because we arrived the last day of the Festival.
Service is friendly.
Room was very small, bathroom layout was not the best as it was toward the main bed and the bunk bed !! With the bathroom door not completely closing!!
The room was sound proof from the outside noise but not from the inside one!!
Price was fair compared to the nearby hotels in this time of the year.

If you want to explore Valencia City Centre this hotel is perfectly located. A couple of minutes from the Cathedral and a five minute walk from the main train station.
The rooms were clean and tidy and reception staff were very helpful.

Our group of friends stayed at Petit Palace Bristol in Valencia & had a great time.

Staff were very friendly & the hotel had a good buzz about the reception.

Great rooms, facilities with lots of options available for guests. All the rooms were clean, tidy & with modern focus.

Location was excellent, close to everything we wanted, markets, plaza, restaurants
mountain bike hire etc.

Carparking was pretty straight forward, parking in the underground at the plaza. It was reasonably expensive as it is the euro, but there was no other option.

We would all recommend staying here, but try to avoid bringing a car.

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. It was in a great location, away from the traffic of the busy main road, and within easy walking distance of the old city and the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

There were many eateries around the area, and it was easy to get to and from the metro Xativa. If you are walking from the Xativa metro, go out of the metro at the Avinguda del Marquès de Sotelo exit and go past the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, heading in the direction of Plaza de la Reina. It took us about 10 minutes on foot to get from the metro to the hotel.

We had a very small room, which was clean. For two people with small luggage, the room size was OK. We loved having the internet access in the room.

The staff were helpful.

But the problem was the musty, drainage-type smell. We suspect that the smell came from the drainage pipes, as we had also experienced the same problem when we were in a hotel in Seville several years ago. It was a cheap hotel with only a sink in the room and shared toilet/shower facilities. The hotel proprietor in Seville kept putting the plug into the sink everytime it was cleaned. We noticed that when the plug was removed, the smell was really strong in the room.

So during our stay in Petit Palace Bristol, we put the plug into the sink and the shower and put the lid down on the toilet, when we weren't using the bathroom facilities. I guess we could have asked to be moved to another room, but we might still have experienced the same problem. We also had the window open, though this didn't help much.

We were in a room on the third floor, which was quiet, but don't know if other guests on that floor had the same smell problem.

We would like to say that we would stay in this hotel again if we came back to Valencia, but are not sure, as we don't know how the hotel management could solve this smell problem. We have rated the room as poor due to the smell problem.

Room Tip: If you have a strong sense of smell, this might not be the hotel for you, unless you get lucky and get a room that doesn't have the smell problem.
