It is quite far to walk to City Center but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel to get there. CAC is just 2 blocks away, and there is an El Corte Ingles along the way. Since it was March, air conditioning is still off, so we just opened the windows. Room is size OK, not as big a US hotels though. As a Marriott member, we got a code for free WiFi in the room. (AC Madrid might have a different policy.) Since it was the Fallas festival, the best room would be at the back, to see the fireworks at night from city center and neighborhood fireworks!

Room Tip: ask for room at the back for fireworks view, and more quiet.

Modern rooms, nice somewhat cold design, very friendly staff at the reception. Nice bathroom, good water pressure, sufficient toiletries. The downsides: as stated in the headline, wifi is not free of charge in the rooms. AC should really reconsider their policy on this. The parking costs 15 Euros per night. I was lucky enough to park on the road. Area looked safe. The beds are not Marriott standard. I found both the matress and the bed sheets quite disappointing.
Other reviewers have moaned about the breakfast. I don´t agree. For Spain this is pretty decent, remember there is no great breakfast tradition in this country so this is better than in most hotels I have been to. They will serve boiled, scrambled or fried eggs if you ask for them and it is included in the price. The hotel is a bit away from the city centre, I would only pick it if I went by car.

Estimados Clientes,

Atentamente,

I stayed at this hotel recently during a business trip. The hotel itself is pleasant. The rooms are clean and stylish. The reception is a typical business hotel - soul less!
However the rate for my accommodation was quite expensive due to the tile show in Valencia, and for that price there was only Wifi in the reception. If you wanted it in your room, it was an additional charge. Plus the breakfast wasn't included. I think for the price paid these items should be included. I know breakfast is not included in a lot of mainland European hotels, but for a hotel that is geared towards business people, paying for Wifi is archaic!!!!

Dear Hilary,

Thank you very much for giving your opinion about your stay at AC Hotel Valencia.

Although internet is only free at the lobby, we have recently changed the wifi system in order to improve it. Besides that the fact that the new wifi is more modern and faster than the previous one, it's much cheaper than the prior one too.

Thank you very much for your comment about the cleanliness of our rooms and the hotel style.

Sincerely,

We liked:
- hotel design & appearance
- good condition of all hotel amenities and in-room facilities
- good service

We did not like:
- size of the room which is more typical for Hong Kong than for Spain and smaller than we expected
- limited variety of food at the breakfast and in the lobby restaurant
- it took us three weeks to receive an invoice that could not be issued during the hceck-out due to the computer failure

Clean hotel as is usually the case with the AC brand but also had the usual AC hard beds. Walking distance to the new museum park which could fill a couple of days of exploring and has interesting architecture. The A/C system is turned to heat or cool as is unfortunately often the case in Europe. Unfortunately this mean that the room could not be cooled and had to open the window to the very noisy street (and we were staying on the top floors) so didn't get a good night's sleep. Underground car park is a little tight and overpriced (15 euros).

Clean and fairly new hotel. Very near to Oceanographic and Arts & Sciences. However the "Turkish bath" is not a Turksih bath; it is even not a steam bath but a shower cabin with steam. Our room was small, try to ask for a bigger room for the same rate if possible.

Stayed here in mid NOV for the Valencia marathon. Good location for the city of science center, an easy 5-10 minute stroll. Plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby. Bus stop to center of town and beach right outside the hotel door.

Hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. Hotel was fully booked for the marathon, yet they were able to shuffle things around and get us a spare bed for our 8yr old despite us not informing them he was coming.

Breakfast was a plussed-up version of continental, and not included w/higher levels of Marriott rewards membership, bummer. Not quite worth the 16eur/pp for breakfast, but we only at it once in 4 days.

Rooms were clean, large, wireless was easy and good.

I'd go back.
