I have to disagree with the restaurant’s current rating as one of the top three restaurants in Valencia. Based upon our experience, we would not even include it in the top fifteen. We were there on a Saturday evening; the restaurant was less than half full.

We ordered the 35-Euro tasting menu. The first appetizer was a beet-based gazpacho. Very tasty, colorful and a wonderful way to start. The second was an anchovy with a bland sauce. The fish was too “fishy” for our taste. The third was a very good foie gras but unfortunately, the portion was a bit too small for two people.

The main course, a grilled, large beef rib was a bit of a disaster. The meat was very tough, had a “gamey” taste and was full of sinew. The presentation, or lack of, was more like what you would expect at your local tavern. It was accompanied with potato chips that had been deep-fried in cold oil. They were limp, under-cooked and soaked in oil.

The deserts were ordinary. The wine list is quite extensive and fairly priced. The staff was attentive and provided good service. The total bill for two people, including wine, was about 95 Euros. Too expensive for the overall quality of the experience.

Ahora, me gustaría poder hacer alguna aclaración.

Modern but comfortable interior (you have to see the bathroom) in the old city. We had a party of 7 and we had the tasting menu. It was great -- particularly loved the stewpot with chickpeas. A nice amount of food and good value at Euro 25. Had an excellent Priorat. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Our server was very friendly and I am hoping he is sending me the recipe for the chickpeas! Our best meal in Spain.

Well presented restaurant in the old city. The food was very well cooked but we are not as enthusiastic about the atmosphere, perhaps too serious and formal for us. But it is by no means their fault.

What a wonderful find. A Small and perfectly presented restaurant . The waiting on staff were extremely professional. We both had the sample menu and we were both excited by each dish that was served, we also had a glass of wine to suit each dish. Totally stunning. 25 euros per person.6 courses. Mussels to start, watermelon gazpacho, poached egg with Iberica ham, mushroom risotto with squid, fish with pesto and to finish Coffee ice cream with pistachio cake and foam. We could have happily chosen any of the dishes to have as a main dish however I certainly wouldn't have been able to choose. The chef certainly knows his stuff.!!!! Definitely a 'Must Visit'. Book in advance as there are only about 8 tables in the main restaurant but there is a larger room downstairs for group bookings/private dinning. You will not be disappointed.
